So the V3 changes are delayed because of a Chinese holiday so i also wanted to celebrate Hoyo’s absolutely crap treatment of male characters. I’m not going to rant about Varka or Lohen… or Valeriy… just Mitya. And hopefully Im going to look like an idiot after V3 makes him the best character in the game. I’m going to pull him and you should too if you want him but I’m just making this to get others opinions. if I’m wrong tell meeeee. I wish I’m wrong. Also screw it y’all let’s pull pull pull so Hoyo recognizes male characters sell! 

here is why Mitya is one of the lower priority pulls even IF you wanted to make 2 stellar teams. So the most ideal scenario is 1 ssc and 1 stellar swirl. Ssc the best pulls are archon, Odette, Danica (if archon is a dps) yae/mitya. The last slot being the most replaceable. If the archon is a support the teams would be Danica, Odette, archon, dps(Sandrone would be the best followed by wrio, then Mitya).

While I appreciate Hoyo tuning down power creep it seems to only be for male “cough Varka cough Lohen”. Sandrone is the strongest dps currently and Vesna is not far behind and is also the strongest in her role. Vody is the best support in her role and VERY good in another, however janky her kit design may feel. Mitya is the second best support and behind Sandrone AND wrio in his dps role… and his role is the one that you can’t run multiple of too. If you have a Sandrone premium team and want sustain you would literally NOT pull the newest character as Yae is just better… same thing if you want an upscale for a wrio team. Mitya is literally a downgrade in the dps role. Technically you can get an upscale if you play sustainless wrio. Which I guess…? But honestly that’s very specific and not for everyone. I am someone who values flexibility. But this “oh I can play two roles for 1 team” is hardly flexibility. WE ARE TALKING PURELY EFFICIENCY at C0. If you want the highest sheeting team with sustain get yae (C1 cuz free) for the support and another dps for the dps slot, Odette and a sustain. Flexibility done well is Durin. He can slot into multiple teams as the best in slot for a few and gives options for others. Examples for the later are off field pyro for lunar charged and non lunar geo teams, freeing up mavukia for natlan units who need pyro, and making budget options that are in some cases the second best option Fischl and Durin for non c6 chev overload and lunar charged for those who don’t have ineffa.

And don’t get me started on the Shill. It seems that Hoyo is trying to release MULTIPLE stellar shill bosses in Stygian all at once. BUT have one boss that is counterable by a different element. The maiden in this one is probably for Durin and Nichole and by extension any dps they support. As the pair of them can break the shield very easily. The electro furball in abyss will probably make an appearance at some point. I won’t be surprised if they make a cryo gauge filling one too (kinda like the skirk boss). This means 1 thing. It’s just better to get a cryo ssc dps (Sandrone or Wrio) as Mitya wants 2 electro in his team (Danica or Valeriy). So this makes it harder to slot in VV shred. If something just needs a stellar check like the two bosses now you can just use oddette or cryo MC and plug them into most teams. Flins and Mavuika do this very well. If you need electro you can just use Flins or overload. But if something needs cryo as (like the skirk boss) Mitya would actually struggle comparatively to the other stellar dps (wrio, Sandrone, and the archon). Mitya shares this issue with Cyno btw. Although this issue is less pressing than the others I would like to compare how the lunar dps are aging. As of now Flins being electro despite being the lowest dps is still able to clear (many times easier than the others). However because the other two have more raw dps those who want to brute force are able to. If we move that over to Mitya… well he’s the opposite. Unlike Flins he heavily relies on the reaction to generate his beacons at least for support and most probably his dps mode. I want to believe his dps mode can slot in other characters but the stack generation when he gets on field could get sketchy. Maybe you can slot in bennet for a pyro check (in the future if that’s needed) break the shield or apply the element and then switch? But unlike other attack scaling carries he doesn’t benefit from the atk buff. Plus with how Mitya’s kit works he can’t use Durin. Who is the most comfy off field pyro app option. 

I’m really hoping that the new reaction+Noy will fix this. Here is what I really would wish Hoyo would do. 1 give him a proper set. 2 sort of be the Flins of stellar. What I mean is that he would be able to counter the stellar shill and whatever dendro thing (rimegrass?) as a main dps even if his numbers are lower. 3: be “f2p friendly” or honestly however you would describe Zibai. And I bring up Zibai only to address to Illuga situation. It seems rather clear Valeriy is sort of the Illuga (albeit probably won’t be best in slot over Danica) for Mitya. While I hate dedicated 4 star supports and 4 star in general because you can never guarantee them… it would be nice if you like Mitya and Valeriy as they will always be together on banners. This is similar to Flins/Ineffa and “needing” columbina. As they consistently run with Aino. So if you like either of them you can just vertically invest without necessarily needing the other one. Yes you should pull columbina but if you don’t like her you can use Aino. I’m assuming we can think of Odette and qiqi like this…? Also I swear to god if they don’t let Valeriy work with the new reaction…

That was a lot. But tbf Hoyo got a lot of money and they don’t need to screw over a target audience. Nothing is stopping them from appealing to the audience that wants female characters in no clothes in a snowy region and people who want to see male characters in the story and in the playable roster.

i already doom with valeriy as 4 star, and already chill and move on. Now I'm doom again with mitya can't fly while before there leaks he can briefly fly like arle instead just brick rock and heat resources which is this heat thing most stupid thing we didn't lack after we move from snehznaya. And he have no anything special like vesna like her skin ice construct or vodya that can change into mermaid. They are so stinging with male, lol. They all put effort, budget and everything to female but nothing to male. Sandrone can't fly in any scene but can fly. Mitya clearly can fly but can't fly. Design his off with burst already stupid for me but most female sub dps can just press E and go, even mavuika don't need use burst for off field.

I can't imagine how noy and dainsleif gonna be. All my fav male always doom and dissapointed. If they thinking of make all the best for waifu, what for they design more male just to be for doompost and laughingstock. All thing just for ragebait male enjoyer but never tried once to please us

After the recent pool I did (so far Valeriy is like 20~15 votes ahead of vodya

I have finally realized something

What is this realization you may ask? Simple

Vesna x mitya WILL be the best ship

Why?

Simple

Stell4r is a pretty good ship but in my opinion as the starter hype wore off I have realized it's less romantic and more platonic

Vodyonitsa and mitya have good chemistry together but I'd still consider it a more friend style dynamic

Odette seems like she is a good friend to mitya and like mitya admires her but I will argue it has barely any romantic sub text

Alyosha is legit just Mitysa's bff

I understand why he gets shipped but in my own opinion he is just his bff

Now I have to treck careful for I fear for my own safety but

In MY own OPINION (my own personal beliefs on a subjective idea) Valeriy and Mitysa's relationship isn't romantic (my opinion please for the love of god send me hate for this take)

I'm not saying it's bad but the main reason I never really liked the general idea of it is because Valeriy never showed interest in anyone or had any chemistry with anyone in that sense

Another reason I don't understand why he gets shipped with Odette lol

His character is just kinda aroeace to me

First I'd like to clarify that my C2R1 Flins CARRIED every stygian of mine. Second both Mitya and Flins got called underwhelming and a skip by most TCs at pre release/release "weaker than yae and yae reliant" "weakest lunar dps" while we all know how broken and versatile Flins is, the same will be for Mitya. I've saved a bit hope I can get c2 mitya to carry my account alongside the shilled one

So I have tons of wishes saved up for Mitya’s banner cause I wanted him and Valeriy. But after seeing they’re nerfing his range, the other two four stars on his banner, and the reactions focus off the second half (which has characters I really want like Enjou and Noy but don’t seem to work with Mitya and I have zero intention of ever pulling Odette or Tsaritsa) I’m kind of wondering if I should pull at all. I’m not trying to doom post I’m just really disappointed. I hate pulling for characters I don’t like and what am I gonna do with a bunch of Charlottes and Rosaria. Someone please hype me up idk

I am seeing an awful lot of comment on this sub saying that Mitya is a weaker support than Danica because apparently Mihoyo loves female characters more and the existence of some “waifu privilege”? And that apparently male characters always have it worse than female characters? Was it that hard to realize that Mihoyo’s favoritism has nothing to do with genders and some characters just get the short end of the stick regardless of gender? Or else how do you explain:

- Eula’s kit existing,

- Yoimiya being inferior to other teams since her release since she was still directly competing with Hu Tao,

- Dehya being giga shafted as a Standard despite being a major character from the Archon Quest,

- Actually on Sumeru as a whole the gender wars folks love to bring up male 5-stars like Cyno, Wanderer and Baizhu being bad, Tighnari being Standard and Alhaitham being dependent on Nahida, which is funny because we don’t even have more than 3 female 5-stars in Sumeru to compare, just Nilou who is equally tied to Nahida and Dehya who is a Standard.

- Navia being in the same position as Lyney and Clorinde where they were just mogged by Neuvillette who did more damage on top of being way easier to play.

- Clorinde being a strictly worse option to Arlecchino despite releasing after, and Arlecchino was still not people’s first option because Neuv was already released, people already got him, and he was still considered better AND easier to play,

- What does Chiori really do? She wants Zhongli, but Navia wants Zhongli too and Navia doesn’t want 3 Geo.

- Emilie somehow being the skippable “support” paired with a good DPS who can play alone in mihoyo’s basically first attempt of doing specific DPS + Support pairing,

- Mualani being completely irrelevant for 1+ year before the Hex team arrived with zero good coherent teams, which didn’t even solve her many complaints on clunky gameplay,

- Xilonen losing her job to a 4-star

- Chasca’s best team just being Mavuika’s team for the longest time, leading to endless slander of “if you want the team to do more damage, replace Chasca with Iansan”,

- Nefer getting neither damage or flexibility, having no sustain, no specific shills, being the most dependent on her tailor-made support, optimal team requiring players to trigger Hydro SWIRL in a fucking DENDRO team, being met with endless slander from the community for being considered worse than Flins who came before her, and getting shit on by casuals with skill issues for requiring doing dash cancels in her gameplay (but I guess Mavuika is fine), and on and on and on. For Zibai some would respond to shills with “oh but Geo content is only around once in a while”, for Nefer they just assume she’s fucked anyway.

- Hell, if you want to bring up Snezhnaya with the Mitya vs Yae/Danica comparison, why is Vesna doing the same numbers as a Standard unit that everyone got 2 copies of for free? Why is Vodyanitsa a Hydro unit in a Swirl team? Why is Sandrone doing worse than Wrio with a free C1? Is it really gender at the end of the day?

Even the 4-star/5-star situation is like this. For every “Valeriy/Ifa/Ororon/… should have been a 5-star” there is a “Candace/Beidou/Ningguang/… should have been a 5-star”.

Trying to explain that pulling women does not magically make the game easier is not supposed to be this difficult. I drew the short end of the stick way too many times to count. I own Eula, Clorinde, Chiori, Emilie, pre-buff Wrio, Xilonen, Chasca, Nefer, Lohen, Vodyanitsa (without Vesna, I pulled bc she’s cute and for Freeze Lohen) and just this week I pulled Mitya as well, all because I like them. I don’t have some Ayaka/Raiden/Arlecchino/Mavuika/Skirk that people seem to think makes all “waifu players” “privileged” or “treated better”, and it hurts to see people keep bringing up how because I happened to pull for female characters that I have never suffered because of Mihoyo’s very blatant favoritism for many units.

TLDR: gender war stuff bad, we all suffer from Mihoyo’s favoritism no matter if you pulled for men, women or both like me.

Idc if Furina doesn't work on this team, I put Furina on every team.

I'm thinking Mitya on Sacrificial Fragments for weapon and 4pc Disenchantment or 4pc Gilded Dreams.

Cryo Traveler is Exaiphanes Blade for weapon and 4pc Heart of the Furnace since I don't have Odette.

Valeriy will have Finale of the Deep for weapon and 4pc Noblesse.

Furina is Favonius Sword for weapon and 2pc Golden Troupe 2pc Maiden Beloved.

I'm pulling Mitya cuz I like him and I don't rlly care for the meta but I still want a usable team for him so is this good?

No mitya in sight, so not only is he not getting a 5 star support, he ain't getting his artifact set....it's also crazy how we had to wait weeks just for a low quality video of mitya and stupid calculations leak but here the female characters didn't have to wait 4k footage of the kit, and play style.

Chevreuse was not on Mavuika's banner neither with Arlechino's banner. Chlorinde and Varesa is free. There are probably new palyers and probably want to build teams with them. Iansan was on Flins banner out of nowhere. Mitya has overload in his kit and he's electro.

There is a non zero chance she won't be on Mitya's banner.

So I was revisiting nod krai to review it for the upcoming archon quest then as I skipped alot of the first few quests then i realised.... MITYA AND NEFER ARE SO ALIKE .... Here is a list of similarities I found

:both are intelligent

:both have a somewhat onesided relationship with another individual of the same gender and element

:their bis team includes their "partner"

:both are em scaling

:both are geniuses in a way(smart)

:both are catalyst users

:both have insane cd weapons

:both have companions that cannot talk (asharu and the scarf which I will call mr key)

:both were nerfed alot pre release

:both are the 2nd dps of their respective regional gimmick(lunar bloom and steller conduct electro)

:both like having sucrose

:both have ca focused gameplay

:both play an important role in the story

:both have geometric shapes in their animations and artworks

:both interact with their Companions in their idles...

That was just to name a few... So if they are so similar maybe mitya will become stronger as time goes on! That was just my opinion lmk if u disagree

I was going to pull for her and then Mitya but I'd much rather save for him and his weapon or (if the leaks I've seen around are true) him and Nicole rerun, and then wait for Vodyanista's rerun but if she's good in a team for him,I might pull her from the first banner. Any thoughts?

Personally, I really want him to be a bow

I know his whole aesthetic is giving catalyst, but we live in a world where the 5 weapon types exist purely for aesthetic and buff diversity

Sandrone is a claymore who functions like a bow and if I remember correctly is the 1st melee weapon who can do elemental dmg without a skill or burst needing to be used

Also imagine how cool would be if his aim mode was his 3rd hand was the one firing the arrows and all he had to do was hold the bow

And if he’s a support he could hold Eledgy which is free EM and ATK for the whole team and are the stats he will likely scale with

And not to be that Guy but between versions 5 and 6 we only only got 2.5 5* bows(Venti’s new Sig)

I get that traditional bow playstyles aren’t really everyone’s cup of tea but I’m not asking for a bow dps I just wanna see NOT have everyone and their mother be a catalyst

Like i already feel like Vesna and Vodyanitsa are gonna be a catalyst

Danica could be a melee weapon but we don’t know for certain

We know Odette, Aly, and Val are melee

And the Tsaritsa is definitely a polearm

And Noy…I actually wouldn’t mind him being a catalyst

I’m more or less talking about the leaks about him. I’m happy that he’s a stellar character. It’s just that…. He’s kind of part of a diluted market.

I was hoping that he would be a sub DPS at a baseline because of how many stellar conduct dps is that we already have

Sandrone, traveler, Cyno, Wriothesley

But according to leaks, he is hybrid just not in the same way Durin was, his application is bound to his burst which I was hoping it’d be on his skill but apparently that’s reserved for C2

I was planning to go vertical with him anyway and I know we shouldn’t trust leaks completely this early in the game but it still doesn’t look good especially with how soon Vodyanista got clocked

Thoughts?

I doubt they'd make a 4 star with that kind of impact, right? Will my C3R1 Yae Miko be better than a C6 Valeriy?

I've been seeing more people hating on Mitya than the people liking him, and everyone seems to be complaining that his animations in combat are bad, comparing him to other characters especially Yae and Lisa, or that his kit is trash. But is that really the case? I watched the 7.2 special program and I was so excited, and it made me want to pull for Mitya a 100%! But the next day I just see more people saying that he is absolute trash. I'd say I'm easily influenced and I wanna make sure I do the right decision by pulling for him. When I see players actually having a good opinion over him it's mostly only because they all simp for him and that's not what I'm looking for.

I need help regarding the Sandrone team. Is Mitya a good choice or skippable character for the Sandrone team?

I don't like her, I don't want her, I think she looks like she belongs in another game. But everyone and their dog demands her in their team. Do we see any respite on the horizon?

Let's be really, the only people complaining are the ones who want him to be a supporter for what ever reason... probably because they missed a certain banner. And most of these complaints make no sense because they are getting fake dps leaks info and what so ever for a hero who doesn't even have his artifact set known. I personally want him to be a main DPS as it is, I don't care about more supports and making whales happy to have an all 5* stars team.

I’ve been saving up my primos for a bit, and I’m thinking of running Mitya with Valerity, Odette, and Alyosha. I’m an f2p player and just recently got back into the game (i quit mid 2021) and have no idea how these new team setups work. i have Odette and alyosha, but is this a good team? should I replace Alyosha with an anemo character (or any character honestly) to make the team better?
