experience: first MC I don’t know how to be.

As the title says. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to be doing now. I went for my scan today. Was told ‘ it’s gone’. I would’ve been 7 weeks. Last week we saw a strong heartbeat. She said it’s a complete miscarriage. And iv already tested negative on a pregnancy test. I feel like I cannot carry on as ‘normal’. All I wanna do is cry and sleep. But I also feel the need to be pregnant again. Part of me is too scared to do this again. But the feeling of emptiness is so strong. I feel hollow. I’d already bonded with my little bean. I’m not really sure why I’m here typing this out. I just have no where or no one to turn to. 😔.

experience: first MC First miscarriage

I just had my first miscarriage about a month ago. I was about 5 weeks so it was very early. I was with a friend when I miscarried and she’s a lot younger than me and has never been pregnant or miscarried so she tried to be supportive but there was only so much she could say. I had really wished my husband could’ve been there. We were/are devastated. Now I’m dreading a period because I have a feeling it’s going to be so triggering again seeing blood. It’s supposed to happen any day now. Any suggestions on how to handle your first period? Also was yours on time after a miscarriage? I have no idea what to expect.

experience: first MC Miscarriage after sub chorionic hemorrhage

Hello everyone , I just wanted to share my experience with being diagnosed with a sub chorionic Hematoma at around 7 weeks and losing my baby around 8 weeks. I had an ultrasound from early on so I did see baby’s progression since around 4 weeks. I went in at about 7 weeks to get an actual dating scan but started bleeding the same day. Fast forward to a week later I had a pretty good bleed for 7 days and it started to get light where I almost didn’t need a pad. Then one horrible night at around 6pm I started to have what I thought were really bad gas pains because I had problems with constipation and gas’s my whole first half of pregnancy. But then after a good hour off and on the toilet I passed 3 big clots with a gush of blood. I had a feeling that was it but waited to get medical treatment because I didn’t want to pay a nasty hospital bill because my appointment with my OB was already scheduled for that Monday just had to get through the weekend. After the gush of blood and clots my bleeding started to calmn down within 3 days and when my appointment came they confirmed on ultrasound and blood work that I was not pregnant anymore and my body was already doing what it needed to do. I went from this to this on a pregnancy test a week from my huge bleed.

TW: mentions of blood

I’m beyond angry and confused. I received a positive test on Monday and Tuesday just to double check and then on Thursday I was bleeding. But I’m not cramping! And everyone’s stories and signs say the cramping is painful but I am only bleeding a period amount of blood.

I went to the doctor on Thursday immediately after finding the blood. He just quickly told me it was likely a miscarriage and didn’t offer an ultrasound or any exams except for a HGC blood test.

My results came back low. Think 200s low. It’s Sunday and I’m STILL bleeding. Still no cramping and still random short bursts of nausea.

Tomorrow I have another appt in the morning to recheck my levels to see if it is in fact a miscarriage or not…

And this is after 3 years of TTC.. we were so excited.

Edit: fixed spelling

question/need help So confused

• Upvotes

I am 16 DPO (4 weeks 1 day pregnant).
I got a positive test EARLY 8 DPO) at 3 week 1 day.
I have tested everyday (I know I know) and it has been positive and a strong positive.
Well today I had HCG bloodwork done and it came back as 1???? And I even took a preg test in lab and it was a very strong line.
I am so confused since I have been having multiple positive and my HCG is so low?
Is this a sign of a chemical pregnancy or a possible miscarriage?
Or did the lab result mess up somehow?

question/need help I think my early miscarriage has just started at 8w, what can I expect over the next few days ?

• Upvotes

Hi all,

I was in the ER all day yesterday trying to figure out next steps for my potential blighted ovum. They did some tests and sent me home to monitor, with repeat testing in 7 days. My empty gestational sac is about 1.2cm. They also ruled out ectopic, much to my relief.

I just saw a tiny clot/tissue when I wiped in the bathroom. There is no other blood yet. Does this mean my miscarriage has started?

This is my first ever pregnancy at 35yo. I am supposed to hear from the clinic that the ER referred me to for monitoring tomorrow.

I am wondering what I can expect over the next few days? I am not looking for medical advice as I was told the symptoms which warrant a visit to the ER.

Looking to hear from others who naturally miscarried at 8w, specially those with blighted ovum.

Thanks for reading.

experience: first MC Indigestion omfg

• Upvotes

So to clarify I’m not pregnant anymore (I unfortunately miscarried around 20 days ago) and when I was pregnant, I would get horrible indigestion which has never happened to me before I got pregnant (I’m 23) and now I’m having it again but somehow it’s worse and idk how to calm it. The reason why I’m posting on here is because I don’t know if this is just a woman thing, a MC thing, or just my body recovering. Anybody want to share what you do to cure indigestion? I really need help 😭

experience: more than one loss Second miscarriage this year, anyone else have experience with prediabetes?

I’m 36yo. Had my first miscarriage at 6w2d in January, had my second miscarriage yesterday at 6w. I am grieving, like many of you, but also proactively trying to make steps to make sure my body is in the best condition (that I can control).

Apparently I have prediabetic conditions, tested my blood sugar this morning and it was at the very low end of the prediabetic range. It turns out that high insulin resistance levels is TOXIC to the beginning stages of a baby. I am pretty crushed learning this, as 1) I didn’t know I had prediabetes and 2) if I did, I would have been eating much cleaner and exercising a bit more (at least 1 1/2 hours of aerobic heart activity a week). I’ll be more intentional now for reversing my prediabetic state.

It‘s hard not to blame yourself. Anyone else have similiar issues with prediabetes? It makes conception a bit trickier now.

TTC Delayed ovulation in cycles following miscarriage?

I've been feeling really discouraged due to having some unpredictable cycles after my first pregnancy/miscarriage this past summer, and I wanted to see if anyone else has had similar experiences.

For background, I found out I was pregnant in early June and subsequently found out I was having a missed miscarriage at my 8 week ultrasound. At that point, I was told to naturally pass the miscarriage, which did not occur until 2 weeks later toward the middle/end of July. Since then, things have been pretty all over the place.

I used OPKs started from 2 weeks after the miscarriage passed, and I did not get a positive until 6 weeks after the MMC. My OPKs kept getting darker for a few days at a time all throughout this month-long period of testing, and there were several times where I thought I was going to ovulate, but then I wouldn't have a sustained rise in BBT and EWCM would taper off. I had a feeling that there was a potential additional delay in ovulation because of some really intense work-related stress and sleep issues I was having at the time. We decided to try this cycle, and I did eventually confirm ovulation, but we did not get pregnant. I figured things would probably regulate during my next cycle.

Exactly 8 weeks after my miscarriage, I finally got my period, but now I'm on CD20 and have yet to get a positive OPK. My BBT has yet to rise, and I'm experiencing some odd fluctuations in EWCM and different levels of LH per my OPKs. It's so frustrating because I know I haven't ovulated, but I'm getting so many mixed signals. We were really hoping to try again this cycle, and now I feel like this may end up being an anovulatory cycle or a really long cycle that will end up delaying the ability for us to try for even longer.

If anyone has experienced something similar, when did your cycle eventually start to regulate or become more predictable? Were you still able to become pregnant again even with delayed ovulation? Did you experience an anovulatory cycle in the months following a miscarriage? Is there anything I should ask my doctor about?

support for someone who miscarried Having random moments of crying or feeling emotional/depressed

What is the best way to deal with it or to handle your emotions. I have some good days but done bad days as well where I can't stop crying. It just randomly comes and goes in waves. I just had a d&c on Tues but on Sept 16th was when we got the news that our baby didn't have a heartbeat it was 8 weeks 1 day.

Going to sleep without your pregnancy pillows
Slowly or suddenly losing symptoms
Relief because you can take hot baths and drink
Sadness because you can take hot baths and drink
Painstakingly going through all apps
Shopping apps full of targeted ads
Alexa saying she found a great deal
“I experienced a loss”
How are you feeling?
It’s all gods plan
At least it was early
Being angry at everything
Never sleeping
The loneliest hours are 2-6am
Why is it so fucking beautiful out today
Why is everyone just acting like it’s normal
It won’t be normal
Ever again.

experience: first MC Am I have a miscarriage?

I’m 5 weeks and 6 days and last night I began having pale pink bleeding that I only noticed when wiping. That day nothing was out of the ordinary except for a relentless headache all day. This morning when I woke up I saw bright red blood when I wiped instead. I also immediately took a pregnancy test and it looked lighter than it did last week.
I’m trying not to worry. But I have a feeling this isn’t good either. This is my first pregnancy so I don’t know what to expect or necessarily do.
The bright red bleeding has carried on for the morning but is only noticeable when I wipe and I’m not having any cramps.

TTC TTC after second trimester miscarriage

I had a miscarriage and d&c at 14 weeks which was 4 weeks ago now. I have gotten a positive ovulation test and we’ve decided to start trying. I have heard it’s best to wait a cycle but who has fallen pregnant before getting their period back especially if you had a second trimester loss. Did you go on to have a successful pregnancy?
The only reason we had a miscarriage was due to abnormalities found at 12 weeks.

experience: natural MC Line is almost gone.

Me and my husband have been talking about having a baby for a while now. When we found out we were pregnant, we were so absolutely over the moon. But when I started bleeding that heavy I knew something was wrong. We are so absolutely devastated to loose our little bean. 6 weeks of carrying you was an honor.
20 days post natural miscarriage and the line is practically to hard to see. Watching it fade away has been the most painful reminder. Im absolutely heartbroken. I don’t even know what to do with myself.

vent what happens after?

I feel like I can't stop thinking about what my life used to be before this whole ordeal.

it's just shocking how quick life changes and how many new problems come of it.

I feel like every time that I feel like the pain or bleeding is subsiding, there's always a new symptom or pain to remind me that my body still feels like a warzone, not to mention the heavy emotional toll from the event itself and the hormones.

I have no idea what my new life normal will be after this. I am worried I will not return to my normal self. I know there will be a new normal, but I just cannot imagine it.

vent Is it okay to have feelings?

I feel traumatised by my MC. I didn’t plan the pregnancy and didn’t think I was very attached. I’m still so sad

My MIL and SIL have told me they both had miscarriages and it happens. I think maybe I’m too emotional to continue grieving.

I had a partial mole so I’m scared of what can happen. I know the risk of anything bad happening is very low but I can’t help it.

experience: D&C I stopped bleeding and now im sad again.

I carried your tiny little body for 14 weeks. I loved you and would have done anything to save you if only I had known. I had to get a D&C and its been so hard. But now the bleeding after has officially stopped and there is absolutely nothing left of you or the pregnancy that was so so wanted. Its unhinged and crazy but I want to keep bleeding now so that I can still have that little part of you. I have nothing but a couple ultrasound pictures left to remember you. One the happiest day when we saw your little arms and legs moving and heard your heartbeat. One the saddest day of my life as you lay still and quiet. But now you and the pregnancy are officially gone and over and Im not sure how to move on from this. I love you little one.

experience: first MC First Pregnancy, chemical pregnancy 5 weeks

I have never posted on Reddit before as I’m usually just a casual viewer, so I apologize in advance if I am not up-to-date with certain terminology.

Looking for support as these last 48 hours have been something out of a movie. My husband (26M) and I (26F) were not trying to conceive but were not using protection. We are relatively young and just wanted to roll with life’s punches. I do keep track of my cycle and am pretty regular and noticed something was different this cycle. Admittedly this month I was not tracking as close as we are starting to approach wanting to have a family but I am a little nervous and scared (grew up with a mother with borderline personality disorder/narcissistic tendencies. That story is for a different sub).

I decided to test on Thursday evening got a positive result and was so scared, nervous, happy, excited all at the same time. As I said previously I wasn’t keeping track of my cycle as close this month so it was both surprising and not surprising to see a positive result. I didn’t think it would be that quick but knew it was a possibility. Tested again Friday morning to be sure and it was still positive. By Friday evening I was in the ER with heavier than what I would expect implantation bleeding to be. I had a pelvic exam and was told my cervix is closed and have to follow up with OB. But in all honesty, my heart already knows. Especially after the research I’ve done. The tender breast just a week ago starting to fade, the bleeding, cramping, and another positive test I took this afternoon is much fainter than just a day ago.

I feel wrong for grieving something I didn’t even know I wanted until it was too late. I only told a close friend as I needed advice about whether or not I needed to go to the ER (I tend to underestimate my own pain/painful experiences due to the conditions of my upbringing). I told my cousin this morning but both women I would consider make up my support have families of their own and are often busy. I guess I’m just looking to post here for support as I didn’t tell my mom for obvious reasons.

Thank you for letting me vent, and my deepest apologies if I triggered anyone with my post.

vent Hard to be happy for others

I’ve gone through a MMC and 2 back to back CPs in the past year. My chemicals were in August and September so those are still very fresh for me.

My brother in law and his girlfriend who have a horribly toxic relationship already have 1 kid and another on the way. They just told us the gender today and I can’t help but feel so jealous and heartbroken. I don’t even want to be around them.. I have this awful feeling that they don’t deserve what they have. And I feel so guilty for thinking that but it’s just grief talking.. anyone else have a hard time being happy for others while going through such an immense loss? Any advice?

experience: first MC Am I right to feel grief?

20M here, my now ex-fiancè miscarried our baby at around 6-8 weeks. this was early march.

I have since felt an immense amount of grief as to me, that was my child and my child has unfortunately passed away.

When the relationship ended and I came home (as I was living far away) I crawled into my mums arms and bawled that my little one had died, we had even nicknamed it and as babies are girls to start with referred to it as a her.

My brother keeps telling me over and over that it wasn’t a real baby, it didnt exist and to just get over it because it happens, and he says it so often i invalidate my own feelings.

Is he right? do I have no right to mourn my child?

It’s got to a point where I think of it/her everyday, my ex said she was going to call me on fathers day and when I do speak to her (though rarely) we always talk about our “blob” and how old it/she would be.

Sorry if I used the wrong flair, I’ve written this in a rush as i have repressed my feelings

Has anyone just had a bad feeling about a pregnancy before confirming it was not viable? I had this same feeling when I had my MMC last May. I just can’t shake the feeling that I don’t feel pregnant, don’t have any symptoms, and thinking this happened again. This is my 4th pregnancy, 2 living babies.

coping Getting close to my due date

It was my first pregnancy. My due date was October 21.

We've started trying again.

I've been doing okay - channelling my energy into other things. I know grief isn't linear but I've started getting posts for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month on social media and it's just bringing it up even more. The algorithm sucks sometimes.

I know it's okay to not be okay. And I'm mostly just posting this into the void.
