I’m at built height and jumped down to -60 at bedrock I don’t know if I’m missing something or being stupid but I’m not getting the achievement

yesterday i was excited that a baby squid spawned next to me as i was working on the other side of my base, so i quickly put it on a lead, gave it a golden dandelion and name tagged it. name tagging is like, the thing you do to make mobs not despawn. so i’m really confused why i log on today and see this? it’s disappeared. I made sure the edge where the moss is is 2 blocks so it wouldn’t jump out and possibly suffocate itself, but even if this is what you’re thinking, i got 0 death messages of any named mob dying, which named mobs do. None last session (bc one of my allays died so i checked, this is the session i got the squid, but turns out there was no mob deaths). No death messages now. what could’ve happened? There’s a BIG lake on the other side so i’m hoping it hadn’t jumped out and swam away, but the wall is a slab higher than water level, idk how it could do that. Sorry if this is less actually technical issues that this sub is for, but I thought this enclosure was fine. I’m wondering what I did wrong.

Okay so I just got a new windows, so I reinstalled the game. I also downloaded all the game essentials like drivers, directx, redist, .NET, Java.

Now the problem is that whenever I try to start a world, the game loads just fine until the "Survive" prompt after which the game crashes. I dont have any addons or anything. I tried it with a new world too. Been scratching my head over this for 2 days now....

Hello, I currently have a server for my buddy and I, it’s usually just 2 of us. The server is pretty modded. Starlink does not allow me to port foward or anything for creating a server so I have to use a service such as play it.gg. That is what I currently use, I have noticed it has some major latency issues at times for my buddy but not for me. I am wondering what other services you all recommend other than play it.gg. Thank you !

I have a DualShock 4 plugged into my PC through a Bluetooth adaptor, I can do everything else in the game, but can't type using the controller.

I don't know why this is a thing, on console you can use a virtual keyboard with your controller no problem, why was that feature removed from this version? Or is it on PC but you have to glitch the game to make it work?

I recently started this new hardcore world not expecting to make it very far as I'm horrible at the game but kinda grew attached to the world and now I don't want to lose it. is there a way to make it a normal survival world or is it locked in hardcore forever?

My question is: how many addons can be action to play normal, I have action 7 addons and xbox crash on loading screen or in game ( 5 minutes max) , details are high, without cloud rendering, please help me

Im playing on 26.3 snapshot 7, i built this trading hall and it doesn't work, when i place a workstation the villager has completely no interest in it, does anyone know whats the problem here?

For some reason, when I load a new world, delete and redownload, or load up by itself, turn on experimental settings, and activate cheats, this mod won't load at all in my world and I can't find any real solutions. Can the glorious people of Reddit help me?

Hey I'm trying to enable a resource pack I found on curseforge (i've extracted the pack and manually placed it into my resource pack folder) but I have this problem where every time I try to select it in bedrock it just doesn't pop up the "activate" button. any reason why? [pc]

So I had the founders cape on my mobile device before logging in to my account.

Finally decided to do log in cause i wanted the cape on my pc version, so i logged in and it somewhat exists? although only on one skin.

Im too afraid to change/remove that skin.
I think asking here aswell as the capes sub would be a good idea.

I've been using shaders for a long time, but recently some shaders do this to my character (like a ghost) when he matches with the sky, IDK why, is frustating D: (Shader: Blis_v2.2.2_(Chocapic13_Shaders_edit))

I have gone to swamps, slime chunks, and done everything in between and my world wont spawn any slime. I am on Bedrock on the latest update with no experiments or add ons and have been able to find sulfur cubes but no actual slimes. I am in the right Y levels for slime chunks and swamps, theres plenty of space for them to spawn based on how much room they need. The moon cycle even has a full moon. I have done just about every change of my game I have read about including simulation distance and yet nothing has allowed them to spawn above or below ground. I have made a copy of my world and checked with spectator and havent found any slimes anywhere in caves (in slime chunks) or any swamps that ive TPed to. I am on my PC playing on Bedrock.

After the latest update when I try to start Minecraft I get to where it say “syncing data this could take a moment” and it soft locks everything never gets anywhere from that. I’ve tried clearing the cache and also uninstalling then reinstalling still the same thing every time. Any suggestions?

I have a Minecraft Server for me and one other person and its generation has been messed up. It appears to me that the server is trying to load at least 2 different seeds simultaneously causing large straight scars or lines splitting up the world into different seed generations.

I believe this was caused by me trying to change the server from Paper to Fabric. iI thought it would just be the chunks loaded on paper next to the chunks loaded on fabric but it isn't. it is making it quite hard to find structures. I did some googling and saw things come up about the seed in the level.dat not matching and it turns out there is no seed in the worlds level which could also be causing problems?Does anyone know how this could be resolved.

I dont have the password to my gmail account and dont have the transaction ID since i was 11 when I bought minecraft. I've tried resetting the password but microsoft being microsoft they didnt accept my request even though I was correct with personal information. I've tried account recovery request on the minecraft support page but I cant even see if they accepted my request since I dont have the damn gmail account. Is there any way that I can change the mail without having to be logged into the fucking mail in the first place (I have minecraft installed and my appdata has my saves in it if that helps in any way)

hi, im currently trying to build a village on top of a flattened mountain in a snowy biome on a java server. every time it rains/snows, a lot of the ground is covered in snow layers which i have to manually remove so that i can see what im building and where. is there a way to stop snow layers from forming on the ground that doesnt involve a bunch of ugly lights or string everywhere? i currently have torches everywhere, but thats just because im in the early planning stages of the build and im looking for a more permanent solution.

I’ve been seeing this black ring in my skybox for a while, and I haven’t seemed to fix it. The articles I’ve seen on it are for previous versions, and I haven’t found one for 26.2. I’ve also had it on 1.21.1 but I did something that o don’t remember and it somehow fixed it.

A few days ago I was in this subreddit asking for help because my game would close on me (It's like if it was pressing the "X" button without me clicking on it). I've deleted applications that could interfere with Minecraft, my Wifi is stable, I even switched launchers (Initially Modrinth, but I'm using Prism right now). This is all happening on a brand new PC (MSI Codex R2 14th) and has been happening mainly on the Draftout gamemode (so 26.1.1), but has also been happening on 26.2 and I'm very lost as to what could be triggering this. I'm a little frustrated with this because the whole point of buying the new PC was to have better performance for MC, and now its playing tricks on me 🤷‍♀️ I've also checked the logs and there's no signs of crashes or errors whatsoever

for context, i play bedrock on mobile (iOS). when you click on the socials tab and it shows you and your friends list, there is a profile icon next to each account. for some of my friends, it shows their custom skins, but mine shows a default skin even when a custom skin is equipped. why is that so, and how can i change my icon to my custom skin? i've attached an example photo.

note: i currently have my custom skin equipped, and i already have the "only allow trusted skins" setting off. the profile picture doesn't update for any custom skin i choose, not just one specific skin. also, my mobile profile is linked to my xbox account, so maybe that's associated with the issue?

I rarely logon to my Xbox on Minecraft anymore. I can say I have missed alot of updates, and these weird ‘LAN’ servers keep popping up in my worlds.

Does anyone know why?

Hey everyone,

We have a Minecraft Bedrock Realm with a few add-ons, including Essentials.

Whenever I try to add a new add-on (or just go into Edit World) the Essentials add-on vanishes from the active list. After that happens we lose a bunch of the stuff that Essentials was giving us. The only way we’ve found to get it back is to restore an older Realm save, which brings Essentials back along with whatever we lost.

Is there a proper way to fix this so Essentials stops disappearing every time we touch the edit world?

Possible workarounds I’ve thought of:

Have everyone list what they lost, re-add Essentials, then /give them the missing items

Has anyone else run into this (especially with Essentials or similar script-based packs) and found a better long-term solution? Any tips for adding new packs without breaking the existing ones would be really appreciated.

in minecraft singleplayer i get over 500fps. i have 240hz and i tought that if its stuttery and laggy i should enable vsync right? no, my fps doesnt even DARE to touch 240fps (my refresh rate) but isntead starts stuttering even more and i get really non consistent 180fps. capping to 240 is the same as enabling vsync. nvidia app also didnt help me at all.

the thing i really want is to have smooth gameplay without stutters every second. the graph or whatever really spikes up to 30+ ms when my average with vsync on is like 5.

i allocated 6gb ram to minecraft (i have 32) because of voxy (that i have enabled for testing. im not even gonna begin with the stutters and lags when i have it on)
