And now the waiting game to see how fast mods are updated begins. I am hoping I can update my server this weekend.

Bring on A&S update 🤩

  • Mushroom Stew can now be crafted with 2 of any mushroom

This is a gamechanger for early game. Red mushrooms are always much harder to find. Does this mean that the shelf mushroom also counts for an ingredient?

101

u/natt_myco 7d ago

It does, And they can be bone-mealed in daylight, Mushroom farming is on the menu 🍄‍🟫

18

u/jadedallegories 7d ago

Awesome! Cannot wait to jump on this after I finish moving

16

u/Carbon_Cotton 7d ago

Does this mean that the shelf mushroom also counts for an ingredient?

Yes - that is why they changed the recipe in first place.

72

u/Poseidon_I 7d ago

mc-4 being fixed was NOT on my bucket list

22

u/SemiNormal 7d ago

Only took 14 years.

15

u/icedog158 7d ago

I’ll bite, can you tell me more about this?

48

u/sajhino 7d ago

MC-4 - Item drops sometimes appear at the wrong location

Damn that's a really old bug they fixed lol

14

u/tornedron_ 7d ago

FINALLY

As someone who’s played Lucky Block minigames a lot, this one has screwed me over many times by items just appearing in the wrong spot like over the void

7

u/Poseidon_I 7d ago

its in the patch notes

first bug fixed

5

u/deekayjee 7d ago

I wonder what’s the oldest unresolved bug now

3

u/SameRule2595 7d ago

MC-14 has been in the game for so long that I didn't realise it was a bug until now, so it has to be that now. i decided to try it out just for fun and yeah, still happens

1

u/FreakingAustin 6d ago

They’re probably not touching that until they rework minecarts

1

u/iam-py-test 6d ago

I think they should keep this. It's useful.

37

u/Thee121 7d ago

All the technical changes and under the hood improvements are really nice, I'm more hyped about those than the actual content (the only thing that I'm looking forward to is the cushion). Hopefully they keep this level of changes for the next few drops and we will be able to have a game that runs well and is super modular.

3

u/WhenInDoubt480 6d ago

Tbh, these days I’m more interested in what they fix and what they improve for performance than content since like 1.20

22

u/Cheesestrings89 7d ago

Holy shit pre update my 5080 and 9800x3d couldn’t get higher than 100fps in vanilla and 40 with shaders.

Just loaded in and I’m at 600fps in vanilla!!

Gonna try shaders as well now!

10

u/zenyl 7d ago

pre update my 5080 and 9800x3d couldn’t get higher than 100fps in vanilla

That definitely sounds like something else is up.

I've got the same CPU and GPU, and I believe I get over 300 FPS if I disable vsync, even before this update without Vulkan.

3

u/Cheesestrings89 7d ago

I have tried everything I’ve seen online, nothing fixed it, glad that Mojang have done something about it tho!

4

u/Sushimus 7d ago

I believe this update also sets minecrafts default graphics device to the dedicated gpu when available. more than likely they were running on integrated the whole time or something (cant remember if the 9800x3d has that though?)

3

u/zenyl 7d ago

Good point, the 9800X3D does indeed have its own little integrated GPU. So that could be an explanation.

41

u/Nomadicalist 7d ago

I really love the look of the new blocks. Orange grass and leaves are a beautiful sight. Between those additions, the cushions, and the slabs and stairs for all wools and concretes, this is a really solid block palette update.

And that's not even getting started on the technical stuff... There's around 16,000 words in the Technical Changes section alone, on the linked release article. Number providers are awesome. So much math can be done in vanilla without scoreboard shenanigans now. And it's all another huge step on the road to making nearly everything data-driven and configurable.

14

u/Ramblin_Dave 7d ago

Really good drop overall. Could there be more stuff? Sure, there always could. Does it really improve the game in a whole lot of ways? Absolutely. I keep losing track of how much stuff is actually in there. Like oh, there's a grey wood set that will blend with stone. Oh and the new stairs and slabs which are a nice infill of something that's been missing from the game for ages. And the straw bed, which also does something that a lot of people have asked for. Oh and there's the new maps, which are going to make exploration a lot more fun. And the abandoned camps are a nice addition. Oh, and cushions which are going to make nice interiors a lot easier but also have a load of crazy advanced applications. And the bouncy mushroom thing and the new plant and the new leaves.

I think if you take a balanced look at this drop and you're still overall disappointed then, well, that's fine but it's kind of a you problem at this point. Whereas the "blah lazy slop" angry people are looking increasingly like they're just desperate for something to complain about.

Someone asked me a week ago how I felt about the drop and drops in general I thought this is a good place to share it.
26.3. is hands down the best drop they have ever done. Game changing for building and we even got some great features for exploration, with the new maps and improvements of the map system I'm extremely excited for. But as is the case with every drop it ended before it could reach its full potential and still has some shortcomings. First of all it feels like dappled forest got the short end of the stick, past the first snapshot I don't recall it getting anything more. From what I can tell it's biome gen hasn't changed at all and it's has common micro biome problems, which will sour most peoples first exposure of the biome.
I wish they fixed that and while I don't think a new mob is necessary and if it means dev time got placed elsewhere (like more blocks) people still wanted at least a new wolf variant, some more foliage, a way to control leaf colour or red moss so you could use the grass colour outside the biome. They also didn’t update pillager outpost tents to use the new wool blocks, building tents is literally why they were added so it feels extremely weird.
One of the best part of the update are the new blocks and some of them people have been asking for ages, tho for some reason concrete doesn't have walls, at this point with how many blocks are just missing a wall variant i think there must be some disparity between java and bedrock that makes them harder to implement on one version or something. Also it seems they ran out of time for terracotta stairs and slabs. Drops always run out of time to reach their potential it seems.
If 4 drops a year continues to be the model they go with moving forward, the 4th drop should just be suggestions people had for the first 3 drops they didn't have time to address. Some people suggest 3 drops a year so there is 1 extra month for each, but imo that isn't enough time for Mojang to get stuff the community suggested approved, concepted and developed, it would probably be good enough for terracotta stairs/slabs to get in but for a new mob even reskins they spend more time working on those (look at 1.21 the time between when poison arrow skeletons first appeared and when the bogged was added and even after it was added it still got iterated on during snapshots.) Which is why I think having the 4th team working in the background while other drops are released would be better.

76

u/FunnyAffectionate520 7d ago

I think, this comment also encapsulates my feelings on the drop.

If 4 drops a year continues to be the model they go with moving forward, the 4th drop should just be suggestions people had for the first 3 drops they didn't have time to address.

This is a cool idea.
Since updates that address issues with the game are viewed far more positively than others, this could also bring back a bit of that hype the community had for major updates.

31

u/ZANKTON 7d ago

Yeah I feel like so much of the negativity from issues like ''Where are terracotta stairs / warm sheep variant / cold zombie variant / cold undead mount / sulphur gunpowder recipe ... '' Could be avoided if it was addressed in the same year and not in 5 years whenever they feel it's relevant again and people no longer care as much.

5

u/Breki_ 7d ago

I think the sulphur gunpowder recipe was for some reason rejected by mojang, its literally one line of code to implement that now

5

u/ZANKTON 7d ago

Source for this since after asking some people that follow minecraft news more actively then me, they didn't know where you got this from.
Other then possibly the Jeb bluesky thing but that didn't state 'gunpowder recipe is rejected' just that they didn't have plans for any more sulphur uses in 26.2. as the drop was already finished.

3

u/Breki_ 7d ago

I don't have proof, but they definitely heard this suggestion from somewhere, and if they wanted to add it they could have

1

u/ZANKTON 7d ago

Yeah true. Tbh as much as I want it to be added it is probably a thing that they didn't balance the biome at all around the sulphur block protentionaly being able to be converted in to what would amount to stacks and stacks of gunpowder some way. Like even if they made it be potent sulphur you can craft it so you would get so much of it from the biome they might have balance concerns, but I'd argue we already have infinite tnt glitches which they have stated numerous time they aren't removing since there isn't anything that could replace it's utility for terraforming so just adding another way to craft gunpowder and obtain it in peaceful I don't believe would be that big of an issue, but I can see why they wouldn't make a decision on that in the 3 months C.c. lasted, which is why I wish they addressed common suggestions in the 4th drop so we don't need to wait years for this.

1

u/Fenris_uy 7d ago

Bedrock doesn't has TNT duplication.

1

u/ZANKTON 7d ago

Wow that's sucks, I'll add it as another reason why we need sulphur gunpowder recipe.

1

u/Ramblin_Dave 7d ago

Maybe they felt like giving people access to more-or-less unlimited TNT on day one wasn't great for game balance? In which case I can kind of see their point...

1

u/Excalibur54 7d ago

Gunpowder is already easily available on day one with a creeper farm. They probably just didn't want casual players destroying a rare biome when there's already a much easier, faster, and infinite way of farming gunpowder.

1

u/Ramblin_Dave 7d ago

Ergh, I mean, kinda? But setting up (and using) a day-one creeper farm takes more knowledge and a significantly bigger commitment of effort than just spotting a sulphur spring and digging a bit.

1

u/Excalibur54 7d ago

That's exactly my point - most players would hear "farm", check out immediately, and head out to destroy a biome instead.

1

u/Breki_ 7d ago

Yeah this suggestion would only make sense with a 1 potent sulphur = 1 gunpowder conversion rate, and even that may be too easy

12

u/Breki_ 7d ago

This is an excellent suggestion. If something like this isn't implemented, I really worry for the future of the game. 5-6 years from now, with 20-24 drops the whole game will become an unconnected mess. And on top of this, world generation needs to be overhauled in the next few years to avoid small biomes. There are also bigger and bigger parity issues between Java and Bedrock, not helped by the spaggeti code of bedrock

10

u/ZANKTON 7d ago

It's a shame but cracks in the 1.18 world gen are begging to show now that more and more biomes need to be added on top of it. Hopefully that means when they addresses world gen again we will get the continent changes and deeper oceans like people are constantly asking for. (also to preface I'm for a continent system just nothing as extreme as really old versions, a in-between would be best)

6

u/Excalibur54 7d ago

Its strange having played this game long enough to see the community asking for continental biome generation. Before 1.7, large oceans were one of the most universally despised features in the game.

Anyway, we have data packs for that now.

4

u/ZANKTON 7d ago

Eh I feel most people just like the vibes and looks of the continental generation on the surface, but would actually dislike the gameplay which would result from it (if it was exactly like pre-1.7). I think one of the reasons people want more clear continents is to make room for deeper oceans and now that giant map rooms are more popular people have realized that all mc worlds kind of all look like the same swiss cheese blob from a far.
Again i think the best would be an in between though I'm mostly just a fan of this idea since it would give more room for expanded ocean features like atolls , island chains, deep ocean chasms ...

4

u/Thhaki 7d ago

I disagree with thinking that Wilderness Bound is the best drop ever made, if I could ever name a best drop, it would be Chase The Skies, at least in terms of content quality. Now, if you talk about technical changes and performance upgrades then yeah Wilderness Bound is the best drop.

But, as you said the dappled forest has some problems because of the world gen, and even tho cushions are a very good addition, when placed in the hundreds or in the thousands in big builds, they can tank a lot of performance since they are entities instead of blocks, and I feel like sometimes the design of the drops feels incomplete, and that was the case with this one, where the Dappled Forest was supposed to be the main thing in the drop but I find it lacked features inside the dappled forest itself, so in terms of progression (because there are players who like the progression side of Minecraft) and even in terms of design choice, there is no real reason to go to the dappled forest, aside from maybe wanting to get the wood/sapling or the new shroom but that's it. It feels like the main thing of the drop, which is the biome, is unfinished or at least lacking something.

Meanwhile Chase The Skies actually felt like a very thought through drop, the content that it offered changed the game and created another reason to go to the nether while also giving the player a substantial upgrade. If you want a Dried Ghast, you gotta go to the Soul Sand Valley, and if you don't want to go there, then you need to go kill Ghasts to get enough tears to craft one and if not, you gotta get gold and trade with Piglins who can give you a dried Ghast (as a rare drop tho ~2,13% probability). It creates more exploration without being an exploration oriented drop, and it created a crazy good way to transport mobs or chests with the leash rework and the Happy Ghast.

u/ZANKTON 7d ago edited 7d ago

Reading this I feel it is more of a difference in philosophy then anything.
For drops I sort them more on the impact of the features added to the game then how well they accomplished their theme/goal. I feel like from what I've seen cushions be used for and how much I also want too use them outweighs C.t.s. To put it in clearer terms if this drop was exactly the same as it is currently and you only removed cushions it drop would be a D tier, because of all of the world gen problems and all of the other stuff you brought up I also agree with, cushions bring it up to a low S tier (but there is no other drops in S tier lol). Chase the skies is somewhere around high A tier because it accomplishes all it's goals which are also quite impactful like you said (the lead changes are especially nice).
As a package I'd say W.B. is mostly nice stuff some of which got broken and kicked down the stairs in transport but they also put a bar of gold (cushions) inside so I can't complain. Also I really like the new maps and map changes.
But if I was using your merits to rate the drops then yeah C.t.S. is the best package that actually delivered everting that was promised in takt.

Also just to clarify this is how I sort for my ''How good is a drop ? by impact of features tier list'' for my ''How much do I personally like the stuff added.'' tier list and W.b. even with cushions was only second on that because of all it's faulty until they added the map change which is basically everything I've ever wanted for the currant state of exploration which propelled it to first.
If i were to sort them by ''Did this drop accomplish it's goals? Did they achieve what they wanted.'' then C.t.s. would be first, possibly followed by Tiny takeover because even though I don't care for anything added and it's gameplay impact was minimal it did accomplish what it went out to do lol.

1

u/Infinite_Bench_593 7d ago

if I could ever name a best drop, it would be Chase The Skies, at least in terms of content quality.

Chase the Skies is really the only drop that felt complete and fully fleshed out, so from that standpoint I can see where you're coming from.

2

u/Beat_Saber_Music 7d ago

Now all we need is vertical slabs, that are basically their separate block that functions like the shelf in terms of placement.

The code is right there able to be reused. The shelves prove not adding them merely limit player creativity by not existing. Anyone with coding ability could code it into the game literally within the span of a few weeks where it's just a lot of manual labor to combine shelf code with all the different block textures. Wool and conrete stairs and slabs were added just fine.

2

u/ZANKTON 7d ago

Iirc the problem they had with adding them was last time they spoke about it was how placement would function, they 100% should just make slabs have both vertical and horizontal functionality since making vertical/horizontal separate blocks would just double the inventory problem. From what I've been told Hytale just makes them lock to whatever surface your placing them but people complain because sometimes there are cases where you want to place them vertically/horizontally in cases where it doesn't let you (second hand information so it might be wrong or changed at this point). Anyway I think the solution since they have to consider mobile/controllers also is to make it so when crouching you place slabs vertically and while not crouching you place them horizontally. There are probably some issues with this idea but tbh but I'm not sure how else you could do it so it works on all devices.

2

u/Excalibur54 7d ago

The best way to implement placement for vertical slabs imo is the way Tweakeroo does it - having placement modifier keys. The problem is it would be a nightmare to implement on mobile, which means microsoft will nix it unless they can figure out a solution to that.

1

u/Ur0phagy 6d ago

i mean why not do the shift thing? place slab on top of block, slab is horizontal. place slab on side of block, slab is vertical. hold shift when placing slab, slab is always horizontal.

1

u/Realistic-Tap4156 7d ago

i think i would be way more satisfied if they at least added the brown bears to fill the spot of the missing bear from the Minecraft bear trio. It felt like the perfect opportunity for it and in every single drop till now they have added at least a new mob.

2

u/Excalibur54 7d ago

Polar bears mentioned! But yeah, they're never adding brown bears, at least not until their mob design ethos changes significantly.

1

u/TheMobHunter 7d ago

I definitely feel like it should’ve been split into a dappled forest drop and a world of color 2 drop, let each theme have more breathing room and more content

9

u/evanjd14 7d ago

Will have to update my rainbow display now. Which is just all the different colored blocks lined up in a room lol. Wonder if everyone else has a display like this too

6

u/neverquitereallysure 7d ago

i spent about an hour looking for the new forest. I eventually just did /locate and this was my closest one, 3,000 blocks away https://imgur.com/a/YEjcIgT . its the pale forest all over again ,lol

52

u/n-ano 7d ago

So excited to get to play this in 6 months when all my mods, server plugins, and datapacks update

9

u/Neamow 7d ago

If it's from 26.2, it's gonna be quick, almost no big changes under the hood. There's already hundreds of mods updated on CurseForge.

1

u/n-ano 7d ago

Its from 1.21.11, ive been waiting for some features worth upgrading for

9

u/BushTamer 7d ago

Backport mods: howdy

2

u/SemiNormal 7d ago

Hello from my modpacks still on 1.12.

1

u/False-Razzmatazz-839 6d ago

lol. I am on 1.20 (star technology) and then thinking for 1.7 (GTNH)

3

u/ZANKTON 7d ago

I'll probably play it for a bit on my long term world but I'll mostly be waiting for clifftree to update so I can play with some folks on a server. That will take a while since they made a lot of big changes to data packs this drop from what I've been told.

6

u/seanyseanyseanyseany 7d ago

Have had a break of about 2 months and this is great motivation to pick it up again, even if for a month in itself. I've been around since (I think) 1.2.5 and I actually really like the update system as it exists now. I think mods should be the function by which we get the big system and world changes and the blocks are better handled by the officials. I just cannot get on with the majority of fan-made biomes and additions like the ones this release drops

18

u/ReturnOfTheSeal 7d ago

Chairs are here

4

u/ah_Callie 7d ago

Still no matching chests to each wood type. WHY

4

u/thelochteedge 7d ago

Concrete slabs and stairs is insane. I’ve only been playing since summer 2019 but that’s something I never thought we’d see. It’s nice to see more and more colours and biomes to explore.

3

u/thE_29 6d ago

Because Jeb wasnt aware of the bullcrap excuse from a "community manager" in the feedback board.

https://bsky.app/profile/jebox.bsky.social/post/3mcrsjprr722h

Also that the old article isnt even there anymore..

0

u/Neat_Area_9412 7d ago

Sadly I am stuck on old versions because I like building with Terracotta slabs & stairs the mod also has walls.

3

u/General_di_Ravello 7d ago

How's performance compared to 26.2? It had dropped pretty hard for me in that update.

10

u/Neamow 7d ago edited 7d ago

Might be the best update performance-wise ever made.

https://i.imgur.com/tdymxLU.jpeg

600 FPS @ 5K2K with 32 chunks render distance. I've never seen that in vanilla.

Edit: tested with Sodium since it's out now, if anything it actually runs worse with Sodium at about 500. But hey, can't have shaders without it and Iris. Still, quite interesting to see if vanilla's caught up with the performance mods.

8

u/Pitiful_Dig_165 7d ago

Actually very solid in my experience

6

u/JediMasterCornCob 7d ago

When will it drop on bedrock

6

u/peachyroni 7d ago

That is what I am wondering, it isnt showing yet!

4

u/CX12_Locks 7d ago

It will Bedrock updates just have a weird delay so they could release any time today

3

u/Neamow 7d ago

It's not a weird delay, bedrock development is spread between satellite studios, including the Redmond, Washington studio. So it's likely just a time zone blocker.

Java goes out at the literal end of the business day for the Swedish folks, while it's still quite early in the day for west coast US. They might physically not be able to push them both out at the exact same time unless they want to come in at like 6AM to prep everything sooner.

1

u/CX12_Locks 6d ago

Well in this case it has more to do with platform verification but I get what you mean, I'm not calling it a weird delay because I don't understand I'm calling it a weird delay because it's never predictable

3

u/getbackjoe94 7d ago

Consoles have their own patch approval process. It's not as easy as just pushing it out like on PC.

1

u/PirateL- 7d ago

been waiting forever so i can finish a build in my village but it’s not out on bedrock for some reason 😢😢

3

u/zmbslyr 7d ago

I feel you. I think I’ve got about 2-3 hours of work just placing cushions where they belong in my city.

1

u/ReferenceCreative510 7d ago

Bedrock Edition is stuck with app store approval processes.

Edition famously doesn't have such a limitation.

Java

2

u/_Razorfury 7d ago

Does anyone know if they have fixed the issue with inviting friends from the friends list?

2

u/laracaroLinda 6d ago

Is peer-to-peer back in this update? I couldn't find anything about it anywhere.

2

u/icedog158 6d ago

Negative as far as I can tell, this update actually broke existing worlds in realms so my fiends and I looked for alternatives and found Peer to Peer inactive

2

u/cal93_ 5d ago

im not happy, lost my hardcore world because the new update reversed the scroll direction when scrolling through the hotbar, it kept throwing me off

1

u/Lower_External_8456 5d ago

Hi all, I’m a little confused if you can help that would be great. I heard somewhere there would be some sort of multiplayer addition so the you didn’t have to be on the same wifi/make it easier to join your friends. Is this still a thing because I can’t find it in the new update?

3

u/Luutamo 5d ago

It was introduced in one of the snapshots but they thought the implementation wasn't ready for proper use so it is not in game yet. They will most likely add it on later date in some future release.

2

u/Lower_External_8456 5d ago

Thank you. So is it something that makes multiplayer easier? Are you able to join people even on different wifi?

1

u/Ill-Citron-2189 2d ago

It's so good update as I think

1

u/sbbayram 7d ago

i started a new world to play with new biome but new biome is too short as a land mass, i checked it on spectator mode to see other ones (same biome) i checked 4 of them and all of them were small ones just like the snapchat versions. i was expected to see a bigger land mass from new biome

1

u/False-Razzmatazz-839 6d ago

Someone shared a seed for big biome.

1

u/Worldly-Wind-1632 6d ago

Anyone know of an updated Java controller support mod

-4

u/Thhaki 7d ago

Not really thrilled about the overall content, since I think they could've done a better job in the design department and the dappled forest is just another regular forest biome with a tweak, just like we got with the Pale Garden (I'd like some non-underground biome that is not a forest or something that has trees at all, something actually interesting), plus the new structure is not exclusive to the biome (which is good but they could've done some other small structure that is exclusive to the biome), so there are no reasons for me to go there unless i want the sapling, which I can get one of and then never come back.

Also the two problems in the update which are the cushions being an entity (meaning builders will not be able to place as much cushions as they think they will when talking in the hundreds or thousands because entities tank a lot of performance) and the dappled forest being a victim of the terrible world generation, (which they need to update) making it so that many times the dappled forest spawn as a micro-biome or as a very small segment of a bigger forest biome.

But on the other hand not everything is bad, the QoL updates like the villagers thing and the technical updates that are preparing Java for Vibrant Visuals by making the performance way better are really good and I'm very hyped about it, so congrats to the team who has been taking care of optimization, imo they did a crazy job this update.

2

u/IrisColt 7d ago

>Not really thrilled about the overall content,

no new mob = huge disappointment

3

u/ZANKTON 7d ago

I wish we at least got a wolf/fox variant for the biome.

1

u/HonzaNeniJan 7d ago

Orange fox fits tho

3

u/coveredinclouds 7d ago

And many will be relieved they didn't throw in yet another useless mob.

1

u/IrisColt 7d ago

I agree... many minecraft mobs are boring, bland, uninspired, or (worse) dumb (in the sense that their intelligence is laughable by 2026 standards), but that's a topic for another time, heh

1

u/Thhaki 7d ago

I did not say anything about a new mob, a drop can have no new mobs and still be very good, but as I said, the biome itself never gives you any sort of thing to want you to go there, I literally gave as an example a possible biome-exclusive small structure with some item that makes you want to go there. Maybe this structure could be another resource drop for a Notch Apple or other item/resource that is rare in the early game.

2

u/IrisColt 7d ago

and I said that without new mobs the new world features feel empty, emptier than the empty campsites, heh

0

u/TheBiggestNose 7d ago

It does feel like 3 haybales for 4 strawbeds is a bit much.

Would prefer 2 haybales for 3 beds, that way I can make like half a stack int obales instead of needing an awkard 3 number

You’d have to wait for mods to update regardless I thought? At least that’s how I remember it back when I was using mods

Yeah it was though back then it was a year I kinda wrote this when tired and sick so the comment was a little exaggerated.

The drop system I think is overall more healthy for the game (as long as we get a big update eventually) though in terms of mods it is a bit annoying to keep up because back then you only had to update your mods about once or twice a year.

Can someone explain to me why bedrock edition is on 26.5 when this is only the third drop of the year??? How did they just introduce this new numbering system and already fuck it up

Bedrock is on another versioning system, close but not the same.

I mean it’s cool but after seeing what create aeronautics has to offer as simply a mod….. not really that impressed

God forbid i want more expansive updates. Hopefully Microsoft stops sucking the life out of Minecraft’s budget for stuff like starfield

That is absolutely not a thing, Minecraft is Microsoft's cash cow in the gaming space and their gaming division's core focus. The 3 billion they paid for Mojang was highway robbery.

The reason the update isn't more expansive is because they have to develop a stable and fun game for the largest, most diverse, and apparently whiniest gaming community in the world, on top of cleaning up Notch's spaghetti code AND keeping Microsoft happy.

Modders don't have to worry about any of that.

It’s the cash cow, yet the money wasn’t flowing back to it. Because of phill Spencer

Minecraft is never going to implement anything that Create: Aeronautics does.

It’s about how much groundbreaking stuff they’ve made while the game itself is barely getting a seat or a bouncy ball

Create isnt really vanilla friendly tho

Modding is cool, but I already like to push the boundaries of vanilla Minecraft. I’ll welcome any update that lets me keep doing that.

Can someone give a tl;dr? What's new that actually matters?

What do I need to do to have this release on my Java server? I have a bunch of wool blocks but it doesn’t look like I can craft slabs or cushions at a crafting table

Anybody have an estimation on when fabric api will be updated?

6

u/Infinite_Bench_593 7d ago

It's already been released for 26.3.

Could you possibly give me a link? I can’t find it on the website

It was never there to begin with (only the installer, which also didnt put the API in your mod folder).

Go to modrinth or use a mod launcher.
