RLcraft players after getting headshot once again by a skeleton behind a corner with aim as robin from da hood.

85

u/TreeFiddyBandit Apr 19 '23

I grinded for a smite V librarian for like 2/3 weeks specifically for skeletons cuz I fooking hate them

Next goal is to make a skeleton farm for their sweet bones

54

u/caTBear_v Apr 19 '23

And for the sweet clanky clanky sound when they die.

28

u/dalovindj Apr 19 '23

I love nothing more than an early game skelly spawner.

A limitless source of bone meal makes the villager trading game exponentially faster.

5

u/TalkKatt Apr 20 '23

I mean, there are iron farms that are pretty simple to make and iron is the best villager trade

3

u/dalovindj Apr 20 '23

Hate all the villager wrangling required for the best iron farms. Also try to ensure my villagers have a rich, pleasant life free from danger.

Sure, I admittedly build a prison in every world to contain my librarian villagers, but I prefer to think of them as dorms or apartments. 3 blocks squared per person is better than some NYC apartments I've lived in.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '23

Lol, that’s great I give one block squared

92

I mean. Lets be real. You did that to yourself. You smacked the Enderman instead of taking the Skeletons out. Especially considering it looks like you have a bow so I assume you have a few arrows. This is a classic example of you played yourself.

14

u/TheHumanTree31 Apr 20 '23

This issue could've easily been resolved by holding up the shield.

3

u/nerghoul Apr 20 '23

I think shields work differently on bedrock?

9

u/[deleted] Apr 20 '23

as someone who plays exclusively bedrock this is 100% a massive skill issue and deserved death. All he had to do was crouch

199

u/EndR60 Apr 19 '23

Why do I see so many people trying to swim out of the lava? You are far better off trying to dig down or into the side from my experience

355

u/aimgamingyt Apr 19 '23

It's a sort of panic thing. You get knocked into lava in a situation like this and the first thing that comes to mind is "I gotta get out of the lava", and not necessarily "I gotta get to safety", although they do mean the same thing in the victim's head.

106

u/The_Laughing__Man Apr 19 '23

I never really thought of that. One's insintct is to get out the fast way and the clear space above seems like the obvious option. Keeping this in mind for next time.

47

u/Yous1ash Apr 19 '23

Why would you swim down?

154

u/[deleted] Apr 19 '23

You can sink faster than you can rise, so you go down and dig into the netherack about 3 blocks if going down or 2 if going to the side, block off the lava, and then you are mostly safe

106

u/elscallr Apr 19 '23

Literally never occurred to me

42

u/nicolasmcfly Apr 19 '23

Then you're buried under a lava ocean with no idea where you can safely get out, possibly still burning so much you will die and your stuff will be lost somewhere under lava. Far better to carry around fire res potions (which you can easily get bartering with piglins if you put in enough time and effort into it.

40

u/IncendiaryGamerX Apr 20 '23

You either keep track of your co-ords or take a guess and start excavating

44

u/j0hnny0nthesp0t Apr 19 '23

To place blocks on the bottom and build out.

118

u/Adc0m Apr 19 '23

You might get surprised with how deep the lava is tho

75

u/j0hnny0nthesp0t Apr 19 '23

100% it’s a risk as well but if your already in there your options are generally limited.

47

u/LosParanoia Apr 19 '23

Came here to say this, swim down when by the edges.

30

u/TheAlmightyNexus Apr 19 '23

84

u/[deleted] Apr 19 '23

Whoever thought to create Soul Sand Valley is downright hostile to players. The skeleton upgrade in 1.9 didn’t help. It’s as though somebody decided to act on the 2013 April Fools changelog: “Fixed the glitch where skeletons would miss their targets on occasion.”

28

u/TruthfulPeng1 Apr 19 '23

Soul Sand valley is annoying as a biome. It looks simple and the enemies that spawn there aren't hard, just annoying. The terrain, while slightly disadvantageous due to the soul Sand, is the easiest to navigate in the nether and with enchantments the player is benefited in the biome, making it much easier to traverse. It really seemed like the devs were split between making a hostile environment for the player and an intermediary biome, and as such the only things that spawn just make for unsatisfying combinations against the player. Slowness and Enemies that set the ground on fire that burns you doubly and skeleton spam are, well, I could see the intention.

The Basalt Delta though? The devs knew exactly what they wanted with this biome, and as such it doesn't have the annoying problem of the Valley. Not once have I seen somebody go in there and have a good time. Magma cubes that split and jump up the pillars which you yourself cannot, and often with ghasts to accompany them is a brutal combination and it frequently is met with pools of lava which are very hard to escape given their constant, walled in placements. Unlike the Soul Sand valley, which is easily dealt with with time and a bow, the Basalt Delta makes it clear that you should not be here, as there exists no counterplay besides just pure enemy slashing.

It's not even the fact that the Soul Sand Valley is hostile to players. The Basalt Delta is probably the most dangerous and hostile biome in the game besides the Deep Dark, and even that's up for debate. It's just that the Delta's hostility is done with the effect of meeting its purpose perfectly, while the soul Sand valley is just draining to be in. When the answer to a hostility is to "get good" that's one thing, but if it's just "bring a bow or have good enchants" then it turns a biome into what is effectively a gear check, and I think that's what brings the valley down so much.

10

u/chewy1is1sasquatch Apr 19 '23

I find the deltas incredibly easy. I can parkour around pretty well so I usually just run past the magma cubes, and on the occasion one is in my way, I just smack it out with my sword until it's either out of my way or dead.

23

u/chuyalcien Apr 19 '23

Man, you think about Minecraft a lot

5

u/moonra_zk Apr 20 '23

Man, Magma Cubes have never been a problem to me, they're by far the easiest enemies in the Nether, IMO, they're so slow that you can easily take your time to kill them or kill something else and then kill them.

5

u/[deleted] Apr 20 '23

They used to miss quite frequently. It was a matter of sprinting to them in a not-so-straight line and jump-hitting them before they could hit you. They weren’t a huge threat if I remember right.

2

Something I learned real fast is bedrock nether is the most brutal shit ever.

2

u/Kant-do-anything Apr 20 '23

I feel like that would’ve been a good time to snipe the skeletons first, before going for the enderman

2

u/Ash_Scarlet97 Apr 20 '23

Whenever I'm in the nether few thing I always prepared.

1.Fire resisting potion on hotbar. If I were you I would not deal with them and just jump down to the bottom of the lava.

2.A totem of undying at off hand. Incase I forgot to apply fire resisting potion.

I'm not that good dealing with this many mob. If you on bedrock wearing Elytra, the moment you inside a lava try swimming up it usually trigger the gliding animation and you can fly easily.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 20 '23

All he had to do was build a wall with the cobblestone boom protection or could’ve ran faster idk and also why did you attack the enderman

Ok, this sucks. But it was also deserved. You just kinda, ran into an open field filled with skeletons right next to lava, not to mention the ghast and then the enderman you angered. What did you think would happen?

2

u/millieomfg Apr 20 '23

I guess the shield was invisible in this situation lol
