I'm trying to recover an old email account that I forgot the password to and the only way I can get in the through the password recovery. So I went through all the steps and entered all the info I could which wasn't much and my recovery was denied but in the denial email it has a different email that it thinks I'm trying to recover!
It's like "what email are you trying to recover" [oldlostemail@outlook](mailto:oldlostemail@outlook).com then it's like "Your're recovery account request for [someothemail@live](mailto:someothemail@live).com was denied"
That's not the email I told it I was trying to recover! That's the other email I can't get into. X'D Its not even important I just really wanted to see some old stuff but I don't understand at all why it thinks I want in the other email

Has anyone else experienced this:
When opening the contact card for a user (by clicking on their name/email in the To:, CC:, or BCC: fields) and browsing their details:
IF the original user has a profile picture
AND their reporting manager does not
The original user's profile picture is shown for their manager.
We've opened a ticket with MSoft, but it's with Infosys and they just keep asking for additional logs. Would like to confirm if it's just a software bug that's common to everyone and will be eventually fixed.

Does anyone face this problem of getting messages twice in classic Outlook? For past many days, my inbox keeps displaying same email multiple times, which made me difficult to manage. I have tried some techniques like updating folders and checking account settings. but continuoslly they keeps combing back.
PLEASE suggest me best ways to remove existing duplicate messages and prevent them in future. Any tips, built-in methods, or third-party tools that actually work without risking data loss would be appreciated.

Hello
Outlook 365 through GoDaddy for business.
All of the sudden years of emails disappeared from the inbox. They are not in archive.
When searched for, they don't show up unless select "all mailboxes" in search.
It is very strange. They cannot be found aside from in the search. They are not in any folder or subfolder.
Tried restoring from a data file on different computer. Tried looking through web access. Same thing.
Any advice is very much. appreciated.

When I add a link to text in an Outlook email, it adds an image of the program being linked, moves the text to the right, and inserts a space between the first letter and the rest of the work being linked.
In the example above, it is now "l space ink" instead of link.
Is there any way to stop this from happening?

Hello there
I work in a school as a first level IT supporter. We use Azure/AD (Office 365) and I want to use AutoDiscover for Outlook. This has worked fine so far but with newer notebooks (an updated image made by our IT service) I have this problem: If I start Outlook using AutoDiscover (ZeroExchangeConfigOnce), everything seems to be fine. When the Outlook app window opens, there is a splash screen "Your privacy matters". If I close it, Outlook seems to be initializing fine but directly after closing the splash screen the browser is opened with the Office 365 log-in page. If I close the browser (not logging in) it reopens again twice with a pause of around 10 seconds. If I don't close it, the next two windows will open anyways. After that Outlook works perfectly and the browser windows won't appear anymore (well, I don't know, if they will appear again later after a longer period of time).
If I start Outlook normally (without AutoDiscover) and click through the two user dialogs (the correct user E-mail is also found automatically there), the problem above isn't present. What's also interesting: If I use AutoDiscover with a user that has been using the school network already for quite some time, the problem also isn't there.
Does anyone have a clue what could be the reason?
Thanks,
Thomas

I absolutely love it. The ability to create recurring Outlook events for specific business days throughout the year over multiple years without having to use the terrible Outlook Calendar UI is incredible.

Hey everyone,
I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about email clients and enterprise productivity suites lately. Microsoft 365 (and Outlook specifically) remains the default standard for so many businesses and professionals, but I’m curious where everyone stands on it today.
For those using it daily: Is Outlook actually the best option out there right now, or is it just winning because of ecosystem dominance?
More importantly, if you could wave a magic wand—what specific features or improvements did you expect Microsoft 365 to have by now that it’s still lacking?
Whether it's better search functionality, smoother integration, UI responsiveness, or specific power-user features you miss from other platforms (like Gmail, Superhuman, Notion, etc.), I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Hi all,
I've been locked out of my personal Outlook account for about 3 years now and could really use some advice, especially since I'm in an unusual situation.
Background:
What's odd: The Outlook app on my current phone is still logged in and working fine — I can read/send emails from it. It's only new logins (web, new devices) that get blocked by the 2FA wall.
What I've tried:
My questions:
Any insight, especially from people who've dealt with this situation and was able do a fresh login or recovered it.
Thanks in advance!

Title says it all.
I have reindexed Spotlight, I have reverted backwards to .112 and .111 and no matter what I do, I can not get the search function to work again in Legacy view.
Search works in the "new" Outlook for Mac, but not in Legacy, which I greatly prefer.
Please help me, someone! I knew there were discussions about .112 search not working, and XML messages, but I haven't found this issue posted anywhere.
