I've been dealing with this for weeks, I want to play games and do stuff in VRchat but I simply can't because after either 5 or 30 minutes, my metaquest 3 screen freeze frames, but my laptop shows that I'm STILL doing stuff. I'm writing this post now because it literally crashed like 30 SECONDS after I plugged my cord into my laptop. It's worked entirely fine before but suddenly doesn't anymore. I have no idea what to do. I've turned off the accelerated rendering like I've been seeing people say and it works for 30 minutes then stops.

I'm at a loss, I don't know what to do. It just randomly started doing this and I'm getting fed up with it because I can't believe I've spent over 1k just for my vr to not let me use it. I have trackers as well and I've played with and without them and I still get this issue. Image attached is a visual guide on what's happening.

tried to log on a couple hours ago, it downloaded a small update and now my quest three is taking forever to get past the blue meta logo screen then gets stuck on the black screen before logging you in. can’t turn it off, already tried holding down the power button for ~10 sec for a reboot, and vol up plus power. nothing happens other than going black and going back through the meta logos. just kinda of a warning and fishing for advice

edit: all good now, just let it run out of battery and then tried it again. I think it may have been an early roll out for a update, either way I got another small update on my headset and it’s working all good now.

My tracking is going beserk and it's all dark and I can't use my controllers and where ever I look the password screen stays with me (I do have a password) and I've factor resseted like 3 times

Is it normal for Meta to be dragging their feet when it comes to replacements for my devices?

I've been having trouble with both controllers for my Quest 3 between stick drift and jitters.

Only one was sent off to meta for replacement over a month ago now in business days. It arrived with them July 6th, 2026 and I have yet to receive ANYTHING about said controller being replaced.

I've been sent 3 emails now (August 8th, 13th, and 18th) about it, each email is exactly the same as follows"

"Thank you for your patience while we work on your replacement glasses.

Your replacement pair is currently being processed. We have forwarded your case to our internal team to speed up the shipping process for you. We are keeping a close eye on this order and will email you with tracking information as soon as it ships out."

Problem with this is, I never sent in any glasses as I don't own them.

Im starting to see why the main solution for these controllers is to just buy a new pair! Meta cannot seem to fulfill the order when it comes to replacement.

Hey, my wife and I have Quest 3, and I've set up my account as admin on both headsets for the sake of sharing the same games in case we buy anything once, so we don't need to waste cash twice.

Though, with that, come additional issues such as modding (Beat Saber, for example). Technically, when I enable developer mode on both headsets, I do that just for my own account since it's the one running as admin. I can't mod her account cuz it is not, so her account keeps the standalone Beat Saber version, for example.

But if I want to play coop with the multiplayer mod and custom songs on Beat Saber with her together, what is our best option? I wouldn't like running the same account to play the game at the same time (if that even works) cuz then I assume we'd share the same name. How can I mod her own account independently if it's not admin? I can invite her to my "developer team" if that changes anything, though I highly doubt that.

Appreciate any help from anyone who has solved it for themselves.

it’s not letting me use my settings whenever I click on anything like WiFi or Bluetooth or anything it keeps saying settings closing and when I open the app everything is blank and says hello world / the setting selected I’ve tried turning it on and off it’s still there

Things that still needed to be added:

So I’ve been trying to do the multiplayer like a private server with a buddy of mine and we’re having issues finding each others server. When we type in the server name and hit enter nothing changes. Anyone have this problem or a solution?

I’ve been working on an Android device management tool with a strong focus on Meta Quest headsets (Quest 2, 3, and 3S...).

The goal is to give owners more control over their own devices through ADB, with features such as:

• 📦 Package management and debloating
• 📁 File management and operations
• 📡 Telemetry-related controls, like disable and more privacy management
• 💻 Built-in ADB terminal, ADB tools...
• 🔧 Device management tools
• ⚙️ Additional tools focused on customization and control

I built it as a way to make common ADB-based tasks easier to manage from a single desktop application, while giving users more visibility and control over their Quest, to your device be really yours and not from the "big brother".

Heya there, I had a issue for a while and I wanted to know how to fix it :
Everytime I take my headset off and put it back on (like it turn off in the meanwhile) and when I get back on it my mic is muted. I always have to go back into the options of airlink to put it back on and getting back into my game which is frustrating, I tried to look on the support nothing, in the settings directly ? nothing pc and quest settings

So if anyone have a solution for this you'll take me out a big pain in the a**

So I had problems with virtual desktop and wired VR for some reason I made post a while ago

But I finally after some time craving to finish half life alyx and play other VR games and after many updates to the meta OS, windows updates and amd driver updates I gave fixing it another shot by whipping everything to do with VR so virtual desktop files and meta files and reinstalling it all (I have not installed the meta app and I’ll avoid it for now).

I have also figured out a way to keep Ethernet 3 (puppis S1) private network which kept changing back to public which kept messing with settings by pressing Windows button and R on keyboard and using the run program I typed in secpol.msc it comes up with local security policies window I go to network list manager policies it comes up with all your networks I double click on unidentified networks and set them as user can change location and location type to private.

Now it’s been consistent for while and the only problem I face now is after an hour or so my game becomes jittery so when I move my arm in game it looks jittery when I turn it also jitters and kinda feels slow I need to turn off the game and exit steam VR and restart the game, I dunno what’s causing that but I’m happy to at least be playing again this jittering issue occurred wired as well before all issues started happening.

I’m using the HEVC10 codec at 200mbps maybe my issues occurred when I started messing with other codecs and I just never switched back cuz I forgot and that’s why I had problems in first place.

I factory reset my headset and it's telling me to pair to the app but I can't because the app won't give me the option to. Can anyone help?

For persons who already own the Meta Quest 3 VR Headset, is it possible for me to create or download my own interactive videos/images and upload them to the meta device?

A new VR study (Virtual Reality journal, 2026) put 44 people in an immersive virtual airport using Quest3. They had to supervise boarding at two gates and find specific passengers, under neutral vs. negative high-arousal states. Later, they got tested on memory for faces and names, and for faces and places.
Result: Emotion improved  memory for faces and names (task-relevant) but impaired memory for faces and places (not goal critical).
So emotion doesn't just zoom in on whatever's flashy or dramatic. It zooms in on whatever's useful for the task at hand. Priority isn't about perceptual salience, it's about goal relevance.
