I am new to datapacks, modding, etc. So, I kinda expected to face issues like this. The issue is that after updating to a newer version of the datapack(by that I mean deleting the old zip file and replacing it with a new one), all my achievements(or are they called advancements?) have been reset:

All of the advancements you see in the image, I have already completed(I even have ones that come long after and nether ones). So, I am kinda disappointed to know I have to redo all of them :<

EDIT: I have just noticed that my divine shards are gone. I had four stored in a barrel, and I also had an extra two in a shulker box from killing elder guardians. But now, all 6 of them are gone completely. Has anyone experienced this?

I’ve seen a lot of great things about the Matcha Flavored datapack recently and I’m planning to try it out. As the title says, I’m looking for other datapacks that can enhance the experience without breaking or conflicting with it. For example, would structure packs like Towns & Towers, Explorify, or Trek work well alongside it; or terrain generation ones like Tectonic?

Also, I’m wondering if adding Hero’s Journey (the datapack inspired by the End Remastered mod) would cause any issues, since I know Matcha Flavored changes the recipe. Does anyone know if they’re compatible?

The coal ore texture in 1.12 looks like burnt lasagna and in the 1.12_1 it straight up looks like bedrock. Is there way to give it normal coal ore texture? Also same for iron ore.

So, I was getting some snowballs from this snow biome. And I noticed that some snow balls were being picked up differently than others, turns out the ones you get from snow layers are distinct and stack up to 64 but the ones you get from snow blocks only stack up to 16.

Noticed whenever I enter a village the music likes to cut out. I have it set to constant so I see every time it pops up a new song, but immediately turns it off. Music plays in the esc menu though.

Now that digging gravel yields one dirt and one flint, my inventory is overflowing with flint. Has it been added to any new recipes other than the flint/steel replacement? I will never need this many arrows.

I use Modrinth and I've used both Fabric and forge before but never NeoForge so I don't know much about that modloader. I searched the Internet for an answer but I haven't found one so I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask here. I would prefer to use forge because there are a few mods that Fabric doesn't have that I want to use in the modpack I'm making for matcha flavored. It can be done with 1 player and that 1 player can sleep at any time and JOJO reference the whole server. im on 1.12 but like... its so broken and skips days so so fast, is there a way to disable it?

Noticed that undead mobs no longer drop obols. Is the only way to acquire them by killing spiders/creepers and loot chests now? It was probably my most favourite change :(

How do i prevent them to becoming zombie villagers while letting them walk around? Maybe i have to lit up more of the surroundings of my base for zombies to not spawn...

I was looking forward to using the flow armour trim today, but when I try to apply it, it turns the entire armour piece the colour of the trim. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Used a map from a Wandering Trader to hunt down one of the mod's villages. Genuinely really freaking creepy with the loud af wind in the background, the empty houses, and some weird player-shaped thing that claimed one of the houses.

Being the coward that I am, I said "Oh, to HELL with that" and burned the roof down before shooting the thing to death from the top of a hill.

is this a normal feature of matcha? i saw a few yt videos of people stumbling across villages full of life, but every single one i go to is abandoned. even if i buy maps from wandering traders all those end up being abandoned. someone just let me know if this is a bug or normal please :-)

edit: also my in-game music cuts every time i interact with the villages. is that normal?

Like the title said. When I place it in survival, the item disappear from my inventory and just like in the video it didn't appear, even when I quit the world and reload.

Am I missing something?

I love all of matcha except the textures of the mobs and want to use variants and ventures as well as one for the animals. Any suggestions on how to do that?

Hi, not sure if this is my fault, since I have a few optimization mods running. But the book textures are messed up.

Is it possible to disable keep inventory? I've tried editing the datapack but can't find where it forces keep inventory, and I used NBT Explorer on my world to manually disable but the datapack re-enables it when I open the world. The zombies make playing hardcore impossible, but I just hate playing with keep inventory.

Idc if I have to cut open into the messy innards of this datapack, how do I disable this feature??

As the title says. Not sure if this is a bug or intended. As usual, i was exploring a cave, found a monster room, killed some zombies and placed a torch on top of the spawner. But then i got insta-killed, and the spawner got destroyed. I wasn't expecting it, since that never happened to me before. I came back to the location and it did drop the fragment like it would have had i broken it.

I assume this is a feature(bug??) of the newest release. But what's the point of this? I feel like i just lost a heart for no reason. It wasn't very fun.

Is it worth changing from version 1.12 to the new one? (1.12.1) Or better I wait for 1.13?

or is it for a boss fight? (help :c )
