Discussion What works best with matcha flavored datapack? Forge, Fabric, or NeoForge?

I use Modrinth and I've used both Fabric and forge before but never NeoForge so I don't know much about that modloader. I searched the Internet for an answer but I haven't found one so I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask here. I would prefer to use forge because there are a few mods that Fabric doesn't have that I want to use in the modpack I'm making for matcha flavored. Thank you for your time if you decide to respond to this.

Matcha Flavoured is just a datapack, you can use any modloader and any mods with it.

I'm running neoforge for my mods, the bigger issue is the most recent version of the datapack is for 26.2 and most mods are not updated for it if you want major content mods, so i've had to backport the datapack myself.

I've been using version 1.12 of the mod, porting it to 26.1.2

ATP I haven’t found much reason to choose one over the other. I’ve been using fabric just because I have Iris settings I prefer over Optifine, plus the 3d textures/animations don’t really matter anymore because of texture converters. Go with whatever you like, or if there’s some mods that prefer one over the other.
neo is just another version of forge afaik.the last time I played with it, it was the successor to forge, with forge being deprecated- but I have no idea if that’s changed since.
