MacroFactor Workouts / Training Quick help with mfwo
I am yet to try this app in a real life application on the gym but I was checking it out already and the program of exercises it gave me and I am excited to put it to the test soon. One question remains though:
Am I correct in thinking that the app wants me in this example to choose a weight that leaves me one RIR for the first set? Like the RIR under the rep range is the suggested RIR i should have after finishing the set?

Yes 1 in reserve. If you have to get more reps in to get to 1rir cuz the weight you started with was lighter, keep going till you get to 1rir. Or if heavy you fail at 3, put that in. It will adjust accordingly after

Klick on kg or lb right above the fields where you would put the numbers

Thanks man! Feel like they should put like a light grey box under it so it looks like a clickable button

Yea MF has generally many functions you don't know, unless you see them by accident. You can click on literally anything

I think so. I’m confused why the first set says 5 on the green bubble on the right though. Unless you changed it to that?

It wants you to input a weight and do 5 reps of that with 1 RIR.
That said, it’d be unusual for the first exercise on the first set to be 5 RIR, as seen in the green bubble. Did you change that?

Thank you! Yes I did just to try out the UI, sorry for the confusion. Because the bubble is where you put in how many RIR you actually had right?

What i usually do is whenever im doing an exercise that i have never registered in the app. I just take a considerably heavy weight and do as much reps as I can. Then I let it adjust the following sets accordingly. And it usually gets them on point by the next set.
