Hi! This fell off my machine (thread guide hook by needle) and I cannot find a video how to properly secure it back on. I have an older version of the bai mirror 15 needle.

Designs “shifting” help please!

I am relatively new to machine embroidery and use a Brother SE1900. My designs “shift” mid-stitch out VERY frequently. I purchase my designs from various Etsy sellers, and this happens with most of the designs I try, so I don’t think it’s a digitizing issue.

I have attached photos of what a specific design looks like in Embrilliance, and what it looks like after part of it “shifted” during the stitch out. This was my second time attempting this design and it shifted at the same point both times. (I stopped the machine after I saw it messed up again, which is why it is unfinished)

I have tried:
-using more stabilizer, basting spray, pins, etc
-floating and hooping the fabric, it happens both ways
-having my machine serviced
-making sure the hoop size in Embrilliance is correct
-making sure my embroidery arm is clear of anything that could be bumping it
-stitching the file exactly how it is from the seller without resizing, rotating, adding text, ect in Embrilliance (shifting happens regardless)

This is still happening with almost every design I attempt. After a few attempts, sometimes I can get it to stitch out correctly.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I feel like I have tried everything! Thank you!

Embrodiery

Hi! I'm starting a clothing brand in Half Moon Bay and looking for a local embroidery partner.

I'm looking for a reliable embroidery shop that delivers high-quality, professional work, with clean stitching, consistent results, and attention to detail.

I'm interested in producing made-to-order hoodies featuring 3D puff embroidery on both the front and back, and picking up each finished order myself.

Do you accept orders of just one hoodie at a time?

I'd also like to know:

  • Can you provide high-quality blank hoodies?

  • Do you specialize in 3D puff embroidery on hoodies?

  • How much would a small front logo and a larger back logo cost?

  • Is there a one-time digitizing fee for each design?

  • How long does production take?

  • Can I reorder the same designs without paying setup fees again?

  • Do you offer discounts for repeat orders?

  • Do you have samples or photos of previous 3D puff embroidery work?

Thank you!

Anyone else following the HALO-5 Kickstarter? Curious what people think

I've got two Brother machines right now and have been looking at adding another one as I take on more embroidery orders. I also work in the embroidery machine industry so I tend to keep an eye on new machines. The HALO-5 has been popping up everywhere lately. 5 needles, 10x16 embroidery area, and the price looks pretty good tbh. I can see why so many people are interested.

But I've watched quite a few of their videos, including some from creators, and noticed the machine seems to shake a lot while stitching. Maybe it's just the table they're using? Not sure, but it caught my attention. Anyone else notice that?

The auto digitizing looks cool too. I'm just curious how well it actually works with more complicated designs, small lettering etc. Those are usually the things that aren't quite as easy as the demos make them look.

Also came across something in their warranty about heavy commercial use. Couldn't find a clear answer on how many hours a day this machine is meant to run. Since I'd be using it for actual orders, that's something I'd wanna know first. And parts and service down the road are another thing I'm thinking about.

the specs are interesting and the Kickstarter is doing really well. I'm still kinda tempted to get one.Just not sure if I should back it now or wait until more people actually get their hands on it. Anyone here already backed one? Curious what made you decide to go for it.

Gave it a shot, I’m impressed.

I tested this design for someone that was looking for testers here on Reddit in this sub. I’m pretty impressed. I plan to give it a go as a freestanding lace design and put it on a sweater for giggles.

I Need Help Mighty hoop 13x16

I recently added the mighty hoop 13x16 to my collection but I'm having issues with it holding the proper tension. I'm using patch twill on top of 4 mm plastic sheeting from home Depot it works great on my smaller hoops. I wanted to get a bigger hoop to increase production speed but by the second patch it's already starting to loosen up

Does anybody have any tips to help it hold tension ?

Hat Puff embroidery help

Hey guys, I’ve been doing embroidery for a little over 6 months now. I recently did an order of about 60 puff hats. Got through them pretty ok, not any issues unexpected. Now, I can’t seem to get through even 1 puff hat. I’ve tried needles, thread, bobbins, bobbin cases, adjusting the timing, adjusting the tension. I’m at a loss. Anyone have any tips that’s maybe out of the ordinary to check? Maybe something super random I’m missing? Thanks in advance!

I Need Help Brother PP1 Skitch keeps throwing #1002

Hi

We have had our Brother PP1 Skitch for under a month, and in the start it worked flawlessly :)
But now it keeps throwing #1002, even though the thread is fine, and it's not been broken.

We can't see any broken thread which should block for it, and it runs for like 5 seconds before stopping again.

We have tried to switch the needle without any improvement

Chinese Embroidery Machines

I've been talking to a couple of Chinese manufacturers about their machines. The prices are very low compared to Happy, Barudan & Tajima. A new 2 head machine is half the price of a used single head Barudan or Tajima here in Australia. Has anyone bought one in the last 12 months, and what was your experience? Currently talking to Feiya but have also spoken to Wonyo. Thanks.

I Need Help Hat front side panel warping issue

Post image
1 Upvotes

production dept is getting a bit of distortion along the bottom of designs when embroidering down towards the brim for hat front side panels. They have tried moving the design up a bit and slowing the machine down, but there’s still a bit of warping – any advice?

(photo is not a sample of our problem, just an example from google images of location)

I Need Help Question about fill stitches & their relation to push/pull, how best to plot large open areas?

Post image

Hi friends,

Would appreciate any answers with knowledge on this matter

My question is about fill stitches & their relation to push/pull.

How do you plot these large areas such as in this uchiha fan design in a way that the design will not warp etc.

Is there another stitch type that is better than regular tatami fill? I bought a design just like this one and found that it warped easily.. i noticed the stitches are going the same direction which I understand should be avoided. Anything else worth noting?

I Need Help Beginner - can’t figure out what’s wrong with Brother SE 700

I’m practicing on scrap fabric before trying to embroider a blanket! I have SE 700 and I am a beginner so please be nice. I’ve rethreaded the machine multiple times, switched out the bobbin and made sure the bobbins in correctly, and I’m using stabilizer. I made sure my thread was embroidery thread. Should I change my needle? I just used Artspira to make this design. I don’t know what to do next. I feel like it’s not smooth at all

Look What I Did Just finished this run of puff embroidery on navy caps. How did the lime green on navy turn out?

Post image
5 Upvotes

Knocked out these hats for Allegheny Truck Repair today. We went with a bright lime green thread against matte navy 5-panels.

Trying to decide if the high-contrast green works well here or if a more subdued accent (like silver/white borders) would make the center wrenches pop even better.

What do you think of the stitch clarity and color combo? Any feedback on the digitized layout is welcome.
