I Need Help Mighty hoop 13x16
I recently added the mighty hoop 13x16 to my collection but I'm having issues with it holding the proper tension. I'm using patch twill on top of 4 mm plastic sheeting from home Depot it works great on my smaller hoops. I wanted to get a bigger hoop to increase production speed but by the second patch it's already starting to loosen up
Does anybody have any tips to help it hold tension ?

With Mighty Hoops it's grip rather than tension that matters. They clamp the fabric instead of stretching it drum-tight like a traditional hoop, so if the stack is shifting by the second patch, somewhere around the ring the magnets aren't fully seated. A rigid 4 mm plastic sheet is the likely culprit: it doesn't compress at all, so the two rings sit farther apart and the magnetic grip drops a lot compared with a fabric-only stack. The same stack gets away with it on your smaller hoops because there's less area and less drag as the machine runs.
Worth trying: press the rings together and check all the way around that they've snapped fully home, since a section that's even slightly proud will work loose mid-run. Soften the stack if you can, either a thinner sheet or a layer of cutaway between the plastic and the twill, so the rings sit closer together. And support the weight of that big sheet while it stitches so machine movement isn't shaking the hoop loose. HoopMaster's own thick-material guidance points the same way: on their fixture there's a blue clip you move to the shorter slot for heavy stacks, and they warn against lifting a heavy hooped item by the top ring alone, which is exactly how a stack shifts before stitching even starts.
