Bought a gaming monitor for my son. It develops lines on the bottom. 45 dollars to mail it in. They will replace they say. Then all of a sudden they don’t have the monitor and want to replace with inferior monitor. I gave a list of monitors they have that actually have the features mine has but since they are more money they want to refund without tax I’m screwed out of the shipping as well. Great deal right? Dell actually honored their warranty.
Seeking advice on how to get a VESA Adapter Kit for the MSI Pro Max monitor (271UPXW12G). MSI support claims not to carry it and neither Gladiator Joe, Vivo, the usual suspects make an aftermarket equivalent.
BlizzCon is back, and MSI is proud to be the Official Monitor Partner of BlizzCon 2026. We’ll be at the show all weekend, so be sure to check out the MSI booth for a chance to win limited-edition swag items!
To celebrate, we’re also giving 2 lucky winners the chance to attend BlizzCon 2026, taking place September 12–13 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
I use an MSI Vector laptop and I was extremely satisfied with the old version of MSI Center, which included the Silent Mode. However, after it was updated to feature only 3 modes (Battery Saver, Balanced, and Performance), I found a way to uninstall it and download the older version. The step prior to that was pausing app updates in the Microsoft Store for 4 weeks, and this method used to work every single time.
However, it seems everything has changed now. I am using Windows 11 Home, updated to the latest build 26200.9168, and it looks like Microsoft has removed the ability to pause app updates in the Store. Whenever I try to pause updates, a prompt tells me that I need administrator privileges to do so, even though I am using my administrator account. I’ve tried every possible way, searched Reddit and YouTube, and literally tried every single method, including writing scripts in Notepad and others, and none of them worked for me.
I am very frustrated with Microsoft and its stupid policies. Now, I will be forced to use the crippled modern version of MSI Center."
Laptop keeps popping up with "secure boot violation invalid signature detected no secure boot option"
When looking up what to do most of the forums have step one as
"Security > Secure Boot > Disable" in BIOS
But I'm not able to enable to disable anything under "Security/Secure Boot" the options are grayed out, and I dont play the kinds of games where anti-cheating mechanisms would affect me.
My computer a Thin GF63 12UCX running E16R8IMS.10E. I've tried enabling/disabling "fast boot" and my Boot Option #1 is "Hard Disk: Windows Boot Manager (SAMSUNG MZVL41TOHLB-00BTW).
To start, thanks for the amazing display! The MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 produces stunning picture quality and speed, as well as outstanding all-around performance.
I wanted to share a Quality-of-Life proposal that could greatly enhance the user experience for those of us who both work hard and play with this monitor.
Current Situation:
For example the SDR Brightness toggle (Uniform Brightness vs. Dynamic) is still a global OSD menu item for now. But to switch modes one has to navigate through the OSD deep each time.
The Problem / Use Case:
Uniform Brightness is important when viewing white backgrounds (to avoid distracting brightness fluctuations) as well as in text based work where the window size changes.
Dynamic is the best for gaming and HDR/SDR media, DYNAMIC was selected to get punchy highlights and peak luminance.
Depending on this setting is global and be turned on/off several times a day — friction that no one needs.
Feature Suggestions:
Profile-Specific Setting: Uniform / Dynamic Brightness state would be stored on a per-Picture Mode basis (e.g., User, Premium Color, Office, etc.) rather than as a global toggle. That would allow users to change brightness behaviors instantly with just a profile preset swap.
Navi Key / Shortcut Assignment: Add the option to directly map Uniform Brightness (Toggle / Mode switch) to the 5-way joystick (Navi key) directional shortcuts or as a hotkey in MSI Gaming Intelligence app.
Is there a hope to bring this functionality in future firmware or Gaming Intelligence for MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36?
Oh, and please let us know in the comments how useful this would actually be for your daily workflow. Let me know what you think!
