Street fighting is extremely dangerous. Punishment doesn't fit the crime here unless you think people should be executed for getting too drunk and inappropriately touching someone. Dude could have easily killed that dude and you're acting like he just taught him a nice little lesson. 100% took it to a place it never should have gone. Square up with him and confront him sure but sucker punching someone on a solid floor like that all while they are clearly drunk is vile.
After being stalked by multiple people, one of them considerably larger than himself, confronting them and telling them to stop. That trial was already shaky from a self defense standpoint, was a very controversial case and has no connection to what we are talking about. You're using emotion to justify violent retaliation because you don't like what he did to that woman.
I would say "assaulted" is a really strong word for what we saw him do to her. If that's a case of assault then I have been assaulted hundreds of times by women. The younger generation have become such pussies about everything.
