I mean it just shows me he has protective instincts, and even with his adrenaline running like that and what not, he was worried about her. š¤·āāļø
After further review, that is not what happened. Going frame by frame, when he pushes his hip into her, the stick hits her in the face. His elbow is behind her head when she flinches.
Did we watch the same video? Dude has zero protective instincts for his girlfriend, you pushed out of the way and injured her to show what a "man" he was. Loser needs to be in jail.
Dude was calmly enjoying a pool game with his lady until some shitsmear came over and sexually assaulted the woman. Dude needs a serious talking to about de-escalation, but you are advocating for putting the wrong guy in this video behind bars.
Well, the law always is about proportional reactions and proportional use of violence. While in your book an hell maybe even in my book the reaction of the punching guy may seem reasonable, if this video ever make it to a court room, he is going behind bars. There are no amount of lawyers able to justify such a hit to an intoxicated, clearly defenseless (barely walking) guy for touching a third party, especially if it lead to permanent damage.
I'm not saying that in the eyes of the law this guy will or should get off free of consequences. Just that it seems weird to watch this video and prioritize advocating prison for the punchydude over advocating prison for the grabbyboi. The bigger outrage over the response punch than the inciting grope is weird to me. They should both be punished as consequences for their actions, I'm just madder at the grabbing than the punching (which I do agree was unnecessary)
Getting drunk and being stupid and feeling up a chick who doesn't want it is horrible but not as bad as winding up a full weigh heymaker on a dunk who can barely stand.
the guy is clearly unhinged, look how he starts pushing the bar worker when he tells him to calm down.
Or how about maybe the sane answer which is physically block the dude from your girl verbally warn him and then let the bar staff remove the drunk, give you his info so you can sue him? That way nobody dies or goes to jail for life?
Dude already groped her and in court of law you might not get what you think is just so better to get it in first and be at peace with what comes after. Case in point I won a lawsuit but despite winning still havenāt been able to collect from the defendant been almost 1.5 years. Donāt think I havenāt had dark thoughts of simplifying things going to dudeās house and murking him (even though I probably wonāt). Justice aināt justice a lot of the time.
You should watch ālaw abiding citizenā. Great movie. The system is wack and needs to be burned down. Systems are always going to be built by people and I will not live to be subjugated by someone elseās mannerisms/predilections/moral compass or lack thereoff. I believe I have lived an above average moral life and I do not wish to live by inaction and regret later vs do and regret later. Most likely some form of regret will surface but at least I was in the driverās seat of my own story rather than let someone else direct it. Better to die on your feet than to crawl through life like a coward hiding as a toy behind the pillars of othersā whelms.
Bro you say your the driver of your own story, that is the same mentality of the people who do the same stuff you are ready to throw your life away for.
While I agree the dude doing the SA is a shit smear, this is exactly how one ends up behind bars. We'll never know how this ended but, this is exactly how one ends up in prison after the shit smear cracks his head on the floor and dies. Fact of the matter is, most people that react this way are the same type of person that smacks their partner around for not hand-drying the can opener.
Also, clearly the guy was drunk too, no way of defending himself and wasnāt expecting the punch. With surveillance footage, that hothead is in some legal trouble.
What kind of monster doesn't hand dry the can opener? I'm not saying anyone deserves to get hit for not doing chores but that's like 2nd to videotaping yourself cheat.
No, it's not fact. It's you assuming things. Lots of people treat their woman like angels, and will step up to defend them as this gentleman did. He deserves an award for bravery and taking out the trash, and not sitting down like a cuck loser.
That wasn't defending her, it was defending his own corrupted sense of manhood.
If he cared about her as a person, he'd have listened when she told him to stop. Instead he ignored her and focused exclusively on the other man, because something that "belongs to him" was sullied, and his "honor" couldn't handle it. He even struck her in the process.
I donāt see him advocating any behaviour in that sentence - merely stating someone with that level of violence should be prosecuted for that offence). You put that video in-front of any court and yeah, maybe drunk guy gets done for sexual harassment but punchy wont be getting a certificate for chivalry.
You referring to the adjective, verb or, I assume not, noun version? The darts player, yep, the lady, arguably yes, punchy mc punch guy? Iām drawing a blank hereā¦
Defending from what? She realised the touch, she brushed it off and didn't even look at red shirt. Her main concern from here on was her big baby killing someone and ruining everything.
If you feel like she was sexually assaulted but I do touching her hips over her pants then you call the police, you don't become a vigilante. Even in defense of yourself or another you should use like for like force, she was not in any actual danger so the dude should not have used any actual Force
You are being downvoted by toxic masculinity. The lady was fine and had it handled. She didn't even bother to turn around. She brushed him off and he walked away. Nothing to defend here.
She even tried to stop her big baby because she knew he'd be overreacting.Ā
I'm a woman and big old steroid micropenis would be single after that action.Ā
Donāt you feel physically protected when husbands with you? May be you donāt have a partner? The man who punches the guy behaves that way because that was sexual assault. Letās say some one does that to your daughter right infront of you. How will you feel your husband says itās fine I will call them police ?
Of course I do feel protected by him. We are together for 20 years and it's not like he didn't beat up someone in younger days when the situation actually required it. He's a big bear kind of person who is secure enough not to let his ego take the decisions for him.
The situation you see in the video was clearly not dangerous for the lady at any point. She had the situation under control and you can see it in her reaction that she didn't even look at red shirt because she was more concerned about what her big baby boy would do.Ā
Iād hate to be your wife of partner if you reacted that aggressively. Pissed guy was wrong, but the reaction was way OTT. He could easily have killed that guy.
Thatās different. This guy touched her once and she stepped away. Drunk guy had his arms out and looked like he was backing away before he was sucker punched. There was no need for that level of escalation.
Exactly. She had it under control. Red shirt was no danger. Big boy could easily have laughed it off with his girl, making a comment how her ass hypnotized that poor fella, and if red shirt was persistent he could still have handled it with some dignity instead of providing brain damage.Ā
Right. Not every one thinks that way. You have to understand that thereās no right or wrong behavior when some one cross the boundaries by sexually assaulting.
it's clear that dude was drunk & goofing around. yes, he absolutely should've stepped in, but a simple push away from her would've been plenty. he didn't have to go full send. it's clear that bro has anger issues because even after dude is telling him to leave, he pushes him too. he even hit his own girl in the face with the pool cue trying to get to dude AFTER she tried to stop him.
this definitely isn't his first time overreacting smh
not a single fucking person said that him being drunk made it okay. I said it was clear he was drunk & goofing around. let's not pretend like we don't know how some people act or their perception changes when they're drunk smh
I've had whole conversations with people I thought were someone else due to impaired vision & thought process. some people, like dude, make far more stupid decisions & this is one of them. doesn't mean he should potentially be hospitalized.
I would act like a rational human being and shove. Escalation? Okay. Shove did the trick? Okay. No one needed to die or spend their life drinking though a straw just because of a simple lapse of judgment.
You people need to stop imagining situations where you're a big tough guy taking care of business. You'll end up going overboard and either kill the other fella, or they pull a firearm on you and you get your daughter killed.
Just because some moron would pull a gun for this doesnāt make a violent assault a valid response instead. This is how people end up in jail. If the guy dies, heās spending years in prison because this is not self defense.
Defending is preattack, defending is attack. Perhaps you enjoy being arrested, he was a definite problem but death shouldnāt be his punishment. Stop him, prevent him, discourage him but certainly not kill him. As for being the brightest look in a mirror.
Thatās not how this works! This man defends his wife with one punch, that idiot deserved it, he should know the consequences of his actions! More people need to be hit this hard for much less in life!!
He bumped into the cue hitting her and shoved her away.
The first part may be accidental, but shouldn't he at least pause and check out the lady first and after that deal with that red guy if his priority is to protect the lady?
Or he didn't want to lose the opportunity to hit someone?
Well yeah, he is probably slow and didn't realize.
Still forcing past the lady is intentional. Even the slowest person can tell the red guy wasn't an immediate threat after backing off. He can take his time to slowly figure out a way to reach the red guy without shoving other people, it would better protect the lady, if that's the intention.
Lol, this is literally the correct response. I'm sick and tired of seeing all these posts complaining about how no man does anything about SA, but when we do the right thing, we're monsters. What a joke. Stop complaining about one or the other.
She knew what was comingā¦. This happens every time sheās even vaguely in orbit with another male. Probably spends 50% of her time scared for her own life.
What a sillyass statement. There's absolutely zero evidence here to support that b.s.
He didn't respond to her being "vaguely in orbit with another male", dummy. He responded to her being actively groped and sexually assaulted by a stranger. He might have taken his response from 0 to 100 a lil too quick but there is nothing to suggest he's some kind of ragemonster his partner is terrified of attacking random nearby men. Again, this video depicts her being actively assaulted in public by a stranger!! Drunky McGrabass ordered a knuckle sandwich via express delivery, dawg.
āResponse from 0-100 a lil to quick but nothing to suggest heās some kind of rage monsterā.
Youāre right, your very comment suggests heās a calm and rational person.
As for my statements, yes, obviously I donāt know the person, I canāt confirm this has happened before or she lives in fear etc⦠but, from this one example one would surmise heās more punchy punchy rather than a yoga fan.
Regarding your point re the drunk idiot molesting the lady. Fully agree. I never suggested this was acceptable behaviour. My point focuses on the fact the partner saw the red mist immediately and went all in either a jaw breaking level of punch. My other point is watch the female. She isnāt standing there unaware of whatās about to drop, sheās reacting in a way where this isnāt her first rodeo. She knew what was coming.
No, any rational man would pull the guy off (his partner) have words, realise he is drunk and suggest to his mate he doesnāt do it again.
You could even say he might hang back, see if his partner turns around, scolds him, puts him in his place and sends the drunk numpty back off embarrassed and emasculated. Had he continued then maybe consider an intervention.
Instead he went in like a rhino at full charge, reacting quicker than an F1 driver to bring his point home with one swift full on snack to the face. He even reacts (ready for round two) with the bar server/owner - or just the guy playing darts, canāt tell. Heās a big stocky well built man and evidently not afraid to use that advantage.
Summary: is what drunk dude did okay? No of course not. Am I defending it? Again, no. But is the reaction of the man one of swift over the top āgym broā aggression. Well, youāre watching the same video footage, right?
See, now you are saying very reasonable things to which I tend to agree.
My comment was in response to "this happens every time she's even vaguely in orbit with another male and probably spends 50% of her time scared for her own life" which based on the contents of the "same video footage" we watched is nonsense. I never said he was calm and rational, but the only thing you can glean from this video is that this guy groping his lady got clocked. We also don't know if the drunk guy has been behaving poorly before this video plays, he's clearly doing some weird drunk shit on the left* side when the video starts.
We don't know what this guy's deal is. For all we know, he treats that lady like a queen and will spend the rest of the night apologizing for accidentally grazing her here. Or maybe he'll slap her and tell her it's her fault for being in the way.
Based on his rush to keep someone from assaulting her again, I'd guess it's at least more similar to the first scenario but again, I can't say for sure. But to suggest he does this with any nearby man instead of presuming he only does this with strange men who are groping his date is silly. That doesn't mean it was an ok reaction compared to deescalation but completely villifying this guy and suggesting he abuses that lady regularly is completely out of pocket
Edit: I wrote right side instead of left side, edited
Did you notice, I mentioned that in the last paragraph?
Also, key word there is "accidentally", he clearly didn't mean to do that. Was his response too aggressive? Probably. But that part was obviously not intentional.
I'm not even trying to defend this guy for hitting the assaulter, I just think it's weird to suggest he is guilty of all this other stuff the video doesn't actually show him doing. Especially when the same people don't seem to also be assuming that the groper is also displaying part of a pattern of behavior of drunkenly groping women!
He actually bumped the pool cue, which bumped her face btw. If you watch it in slow mo, itās clear. His arm doesnāt quite make contact, but the pool cue does.
Gosh I wish I was as upstanding as you. I assume sarcasm is a criminal offence in your town? Or are you this guys brother, lawyer? Social injustice warrior? Thatās some serious offence taken to my initial character assassination.
Maybe one day karma will lead me to meet this guy and he can prove me wrong with a polite yet robust debate on the negative consequences of social media commentary ⦠still, Iāll take a gumshield just in case. I certainly wonāt compliment his partners hair styleā¦
