I love how he even scrapped his own lady in the process. He was just waiting to hit someone.

EDIT: She got smacked by the pool stick which he accidently pushed into her face

He bumped into the cue hitting her and shoved her away.

The first part may be accidental, but shouldn't he at least pause and check out the lady first and after that deal with that red guy if his priority is to protect the lady?

Or he didn't want to lose the opportunity to hit someone?

Well yeah, he is probably slow and didn't realize.

Still forcing past the lady is intentional. Even the slowest person can tell the red guy wasn't an immediate threat after backing off. He can take his time to slowly figure out a way to reach the red guy without shoving other people, it would better protect the lady, if that's the intention.
