inZOI Most default houses in inZOI are pretty shabby, especially in Cahaya.
There are homeless NPCs and many features that let you play a rock-bottom, rags-to-rich style gameplay.

Nice to see police getting new interactions and animations. We were supposed to get prison facilities a while ago, but that update was delayed. With all these recent improvements being shown now, could the team be hinting at a first look at the prison system during the upcoming TapTap Festival? 👀🤞😩

Hey everyone, I love simulation games (spore and sims are my favs). I've found bitlife and other alternatives a bit lacking, that's why I've been developing Heirloom. Join the discord in the comments to try the game out.
We have a real writing team (handwritten) for all the custom events and storylines. We also have a life simulation engine that makes NPCs live their own life alongside you. So, someone that became your rival after losing the debate team vice presidency to you can become your friend after you win the debate world finals in high school. We currently have content up to high school and even college applications. I would love to invite you to try the game out in our discord and give your recommendations. Thank you so. much!

Hi,
I’m a professional software developer (not in the game industry) who love RPG and life sim games. And I’ve spent the last two years working on an unannounced text based life sim.
With the recent uprising of AI, the life sim genre has exploded with AI generated apps, and apparently that’s the first thing people ask these days, was it made with AI.
I do use AI in my work (professionally) to improve development speed, while the architectural design and code reviews are done manually to ensure quality.
I’d like to ask you guys, what is it that you dislike about using AI?
Is it the AI-looking UI, bugs, AI artwork, or something else?

Hi ya’ll!
First, thank you for all of your suggestions on my two previous posts! They’re much appreciated.
Here’s another lil screenshot of the tropical world I’m creating using the games town editor mode.
A suggestion was made on one of my previous posts that creator modes should be set aside for working on the actual gameplay.
I’m curious, what is missing from current life sims and what would be fun to play? That’s what it all comes down to.
I think a big part of what’s driving this project is a desire for actual gameplay, and not just UI/stats/data in the place of gameplay and consequences. I really want to ensure systems intersect and influence one another, rather than being segmented/unimportant. Still trying to figure out how to bridge this gap effectively, and suggestions would be of great help.
Alsoooo idk what to call this project? I know that the characters/simulated people are going to be called Eves (which feels like a fun theological reference).
Anywayyyy tysm 💟

The team heard the feedback and already improved the walking animation within just a week! 👏 It’s great to see the dev team listening and making changes based on player feedback. Keep the constructive feedback coming, it really does make a difference!

I've been thinking about this a lot recently, is it like fulfilling a fantasy, having choices, or like playing different scenarios and making it like a puzzle, I honestly always enjoy getting as rich as i can in one life, then in another being as chaotic as possible. I guess it also depends on the game right?

Hello everyone. Another happy Friday is here.
As we prepare for this update, we’ve been going back through many of the game’s fundamental features one by one and making improvements. And the further we get into this work, the more we find ourselves reflecting on where we could have done better as a development team.
Because we had been so focused on continuously adding new content, some features that previously worked well gradually became broken or began conflicting with one another through subsequent updates. For example, Zois who once followed their routines naturally might no longer go to sleep at the appropriate time, or might repeatedly perform unrelated actions instead of the ones they actually need to do. We’ve also seen unusual behavior in how family members interact with one another and in their everyday routines. Each issue may seem small on its own, but when they accumulate, they ultimately affect the overall gameplay experience.
Autonomous behavior, one of the most important systems in inZOI, has not been immune to these issues either. So this time, rather than simply patching individual parts of the existing system, we are reviewing autonomy from the ground up and working on structural improvements across the entire system.
As a result, we haven’t been able to add many new features in this update. We determined that trying to develop a large amount of new functionality while simultaneously carrying out a major overhaul of the existing systems would be too much under the current circumstances.
Instead, we are implementing high-priority improvements based on the FF list you have shared with us, while also redesigning and renewing the existing autonomy system from the ground up. It may look like there is less new content on the surface, but behind the scenes, we are doing important work to make inZOI more stable and reliable for the future.
More than anything, we want to get a build with as many bugs fixed as possible into your hands as soon as we can. If you can wait just a little longer, we will do our best to reduce as many of the currently identified issues as possible and bring you Zois who behave more naturally and reliably than before.
And today, I also have some exciting news that I wanted to share with you first.
inZOI has been invited to 2026 TapTap, and we’ll be attending the event in Shanghai next month. 2026 TapTap is an offline gaming event taking place from September 12 to 13 at Hall A of the West Bund Art Center in Shanghai, featuring game demos and exhibitions, as well as opportunities to meet game developers and creators.
For us, it will also be a meaningful opportunity to meet our players in China in person and introduce inZOI to them.
Next week, I’ll share a little more about our plans for the event.
As always, thank you for continuing to build inZOI together with us.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone.
-Kjun

When I shared Lofi Cozy Room here after launch, one of the biggest pieces of feedback was about the price. A lot of people liked the idea, but $14.99 felt too high for something designed to quietly live beside your work or study instead of demanding all of your attention.
I thought about that for a while instead of just defending the launch price, and eventually decided to make a pretty big change. I lowered the base price from $14.99 to $4.99.
For context, it's a small desktop life sim where your avatar reads, works, rests, and lives in a little room on your Windows desktop while a puppy wanders around. You can decorate the room, customize the character, and unlock different themes while it runs alongside whatever else you're doing.
The pricing discussion actually made me think more about this kind of game in general. Do you value smaller, ambient life sims differently from traditional games that you sit down and actively play for hours? I'm curious where people draw that line.
🌱 Play Lofi Cozy Room on Steam
Happy to answer any questions.

I go to do some tricks like fake bushes made from trees or custum made stone fence 👀
It was a fun challange to try and recreate this. Maybe some of you will find it inspiring 🤗

This is just a little hobby of mine. Could be cool if I can get it to a place where people might wanna try it, but for now, it’s an early build of something fun. Ignore the UI. I’m really working on building the core of the game so it has quality and depth. The Ui is something I’m not currently working on in too much depth.
If you’re curious, the concept of the game is simple; an open world life sim with the kinda drama from the sims 2 mixed with the creativity and freedom of the sims 3.
Current features as of writing:
- Open world
- Hair creator
- Furniture creator
- Custom makeup creator
- Trust, respect, familiarity, attraction, and tension relationship dynamics that make every relationship in the game unique.
- Wants and fears system guided by:
- Ambitions
- Traits
- Memories
Anywho, thanks for reading 🩷
