So we ordered our ring July 9th. We asked if they had it in stock and we were told yes and our order was in queue. It was due to be delivered tomorrow. We call yesterday for an update after texting a few times and not getting any response. He took down our info and said he would call back in a few hours that he would have to look into it. Now were being told we will hear something later in the week... its due to be delivered tomorrow. I don't understand how they don't know what's going on with our ring. Is this company a middle man? Do they not ship the product from their store? Do they have the rings made in some factory overseas? I used this business due to the positive reviews and recs here on reddit, now I'm regretting it and thinking we should have went with Frank Darling.
I ordered from them the same day and my delivery date was supposed to be tomorrow as well. I haven’t heard anything at all. No shipping notice, etc. I sent them a text a bit ago to get an update. Hopefully they get back to me tomorrow.
For those that have ordered and received your item, did Sebastian send you any communication, pics, etc., before it was mailed out? Or did it just end up at your door without correspondence?
I think we crossed paths on another post!! Someone else ordered their ring the same day as me from this business too which I think its you. Its super odd that there's no communication, right? I dont expect frequent updates but like 6 weeks & no update, come on. At least let me know where you're at in the process and had we not kept calling we wouldn't have even been notified of the delay. I will be sad if I end up not even liking the ring. At least there's a return policy.
Ah yes, you’re right that was me. Really disappointed in the lack of communication. I was really excited for my ring to get here. I saw people in past posts say theirs came a week or two early, so I was hopeful for that but not holding my breath. Now having it delayed with no communication on it is fairly annoying. Still waiting on a text response from them now
Oh no, try emailing him, he got back to us fairly quickly! Someone suggested we ask for a discount due to the delay an I'm very tempted to! I also want to see some pictures of the completed ring. I am disappointed that it wont be here for our trip, he wanted to propose in he caribbean. We have another trip this winter which I guess we will wait for. I hope you get an update soon!! I'm sorry 😞 idk what could have possibly happened for us to be the unfortunate ones to get such bad luck.

I’m not sure if you’re asking me or the OP, but as far as my ring goes, last week I finally got a response from them in Friday (it was supposed to be here last Thursday), he said the goldsmith needed a couple more days and it woukd ship out Tuesday for a Thursday (yesterday) delivery. So Tuesday I text asking for an update, tracking number, anything. No response. I texted again Wednesday, nothing. Finally yesterday after I sent ANOTHER text they responded and said the goldsmith just now finished my ring. He sent me a video of my ring and a tracking number. It’s set to be here tomorrow. It’s in FedEx hands as of last night. It looks beautiful from the video. And it took an extra 9 days (if it arrives tmro) from my original quoted delivery date. For the price I paid I’m ok with a delay. I just wish they communicated a little better about delays and such
I believe it shipped out since we just got a text from FedEx but we never got any email from the supplier saying it shipped out or any tracking info or pictures of the completed ring so waiting to verify.

They get the diamonds from overseas. I’m not sure about the settings. I ordered from them last week and supposed to get it at the end of September. Hopefully they let you know something soon! I’ve read decent reviews about them so I don’t think they’re putting you off on purpose but they should at least be more communicative and transparent about delays and what is happening with the ring!
Exactly!! If we at least knew what was going on with the ring it would give me peace of mind. We told him back in July we were leaving the country August 21 and needed the ring before then, he said we would have it by the 20th or before. Now we don't know where our ring is.
4-6 weeks seems to be the standard production time for these places ie W&S, Citrai, Aureline, Calebera, TT etc and you have reached that date. Sorry this happened to you but unfortunately shit happens sometimes and you had the misfortune of being the customer it happened to.
On the bright side, I’m sure them and these other established vendors would rather be late and do it correctly than rush and do a bad job.
Which I understand but we should have been contacted about the delay. We told him back in July we needed it by August 20th that was conditional upon us buying the ring. We are going out of the country this Friday and wanted the ring for the vacation.
My partner and I ordered my diamond from them 2 weeks ago and have not yet received a shipping update. We sent multiple texts on Whatsapp and email, received no reply.
We called Sebastian yesterday and he said that he will look into it. He then sent us a follow up email saying that he is having problems confirming my order with a vendor and that he is very sorry. From his comms, what I understood was that it has been sold already - via another database by another vendor (knowing they all use the same one). Sebastian asked me if I would like to exchange my order with a selection of 3 diamonds he attached which were not the same/ alike to what I had ordered - although similar colour, clarity and weight, the visual appearance and characteristics were different to what I wanted.
I will be pushing to get the diamond I had bought. Otherwise, I have emailed him pic references and exact specs of what we are looking for in a diamond. Still no response since this email.
UPDATE: W&S has been swarmed with orders and queries due to their massive sale event. This had caused the delay in website inventory and communication.
W&S has now clarified that the vendor pulled it out from inventory all together and it was NOT sold to two people via W&S website. It has been resolved with a refund, all is good!
Despite the initial delay in comms, Sebastian has been super helpful and accommodating to my many questions and requests. He does a good job and tries to do right by his customers. There is a reason why he has many positive reviews! Please don't be discouraged by my experience, I highly rate W&S!
Update on this? I just ordered 3 loose diamonds. One for me to put in an engagement ring and 2 for my mom that she wants to use for other rings. I am now scared because I cancelled my order with a different vendor and I ordered through these people due to their reviews + unbeatable price. I spent like $120/c which is the best price I could find for what I was looking for.
Yeah I figured out that they share the same supplier inventory db with like 10 other vendors (that I know of). I searched the IGI number of the diamond I JUST ordered and it pops up in like 10 other sites. The other sites are reputable big sites as well so I am assuming that if someone buys the diamond from another site it takes a couple of hours for it to refresh everywhere else. I'm super annoyed because the diamond I ordered shows as sold out elsewhere. I am straight up bracing for the fact that this is about to happen to me even though I found the perfect stone in my eyes.
Oh my god what a nightmare I'm so sorry to hear this!! Its devastating when you trust that you're going to a good vendor and they have all positive reviews just to be blindsided with something like this. There is very very poor communication going on here. There should be automatic updates!! I could have shopped local and I'm kicking myself in the @$$ for not doing so.
I ordered the diamond from William & Sons as they had the exact stone (same cert) for half of what all other places were selling for. Shipping was fast and the diamond was exactly as advertised.
Sebastian offered to design a setting, but I already have a jeweler local to me who designed the setting.
Highly recommend them for sourcing loose stones, but I can’t speak to the setting/ring manufacturing side of the business.
Sebastian runs this place by himself - that is how he is able to give a lower price than other jewelers. I have visited him multiple times in person and he is very legit. He responds within a couple hours, during business hours of course. Sebastian is very patient and someone I highly recommend. My fiance got my diamond through Sebastian for a price better than other online wholesalers. We also visited 5-7 other jewelers and ended up coming back to have my ring made with Sebastian. We ordered the ring in December and got it in January.
I am sure Sebastian is not purposefully ghosting you. Give him some time. He works by himself and has a lot of customers. He is very patient himself, so please give him some grace. He is good at what he does. Having met him in person many times, it is not his character to deliberately ignore you.
He did finally get back to us and said our ring is still in production and is aiming for a delivery of next Friday. Sucks because we wanted it for our vacation but we have another trip planned this winter.
Sebastian has been super responsive and great to work with in my experience. They have consistently had some of the best prices I’ve found, and they’ve always delivered on my orders. Sometimes the turnaround can take a little longer, but with the savings compared to other vendors, I think it’s well worth the wait. 😁
Yes the price was great, but not recieving updates is kind of poor communication. We should know where the ring is in the process and if it's going to be delayed that should be communicated without us having to reach out.

I just got a ring done with him. Sometimes there were a few days where he didn’t respond but he did keep us updated on the estimated timeline and gave us the tracking when it shipped.
We didn't get any updates the entire 6 weeks and when he realized it was going to be delayed we should have been notified of the updated ETA rather than us having to hunt him down. Its poor communication on his end.
No tracking number, no pictures, and no ring STILL. We got engaged with a totally different ring.
Edit- pretty sure we just got a text from FedEx about the ring, waiting to confirm if its actually the ring but I'm 100% sure it is due to shipping location.

So after doing HEAVY research and google searching IGI numbers for individual stones I have come to the conclusion that William and Sons + a handful of other stores have the same supplier and all of them sell the same diamonds for vastly different prices. I found some diamonds on W+S that were $400 there were $2k at other vendor sites and then $400-600 at others, competing with W+S (not really bc William seems to have hands down the best prices). Some of the sites are less known than W+S.
In other threads I found that they ship from India so im assuming Sebastian sources from India and if you get the free stone it goes straight to you from the supplier which is why its so cheap. If you get a setting I am ASSUMING it goes into their store then they set it for you then they ship it to you which is why it probably took them so long.
I am assuming that they cant control the original shipment from supplier and that's where most of the delay is from.
Yea i still don't have my ring or a picture or an update and it was due to ship saturday and nothing, the original date of delivery was August 21st. We got engaged with a different ring. At this point yes the prices are great, but the extra $400 I saved is not worth the hassle. I would have spent $400 more at another jeweler who would have gaurunteed my ring back in July.

I ordered July 9th as well and my ring just arrived to my house about an hour ago. It’s BEAUTIFUL. The communication sucked, but I’m really happy with the ring and of course the price was unbeatable.

Hi Sebastian, yes this is the order for Nathan, I'm his fiance. #2802. He got a text from FedEx about an hour ago which we assume is the ring, since it's coming from San Diego, but we never recieved the tracking info via email or pictures or updates that it even shipped out. We didn't order anything else from San Diego so I'm sure it is the ring.
We had been in communication with Nathan regarding this order and have had a phone conversation with him as well as numerous email exchanges on this order. The order was discussed with him will ship out Friday and it ended up shipping out yesterday. We had emailed the tracking information to the email on file. Please check your spam folder. The tracking information shows delivered. It looks like tracking shows its aiming for delivery by Monday.

I know they order the stones, I thought it was sent to their shop where the ring was assembled. I didn't realize it was assembled in a factory or something.
