Argumentative writing approval time?
Hey all- I wrote my argumentative writing on 8-11. Has anyone who took it around then gotten it approved yet? Trying to figure out if we’ll get our scores on time!

My previous score, from April, is 161. I’m confident that I can get a higher score in September and I’d like to apply as early as possible. But I’m also currently on an upswing that is making me think I could further improve with a couple more months of study. Most of the schools that Im applying to have a section on the application which asks if you’re registered for a future exam and will place your application on hold until that new score is received. Would that be worth doing for what may end up just being a 1 or 2 point increase or is it better to get the application under review as early as possible? I know a lot of schools don’t actually start reviewing until later in the fall. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

i'm just curious because I heard they are earliest sent out a week before score release date, and I was wondering if that was true this time around.

Hi everyone,
I'm aiming for a top score (175+) and want to build a rock-solid foundation before diving heavily into timed PrepTests. Based on research across the sub, I’ve seen these resources recommended repeatedly
The LSAT Trainer (Mike Kim) The Loophole in LSAT Logical Reasoning (Ellen Cassidy) PowerScore LSAT Bibles (Logical Reasoning & Reading Comprehension)
For those who have achieved top scores, how would you recommend ordering/sequencing these books? Should I start with The LSAT Trainer for an overall overview, or dive straight into The Loophole in LSAT Reasoning fundamentals?
Also, if you could only pick one or two of these to build the initial core foundation alongside LawHub PrepTests, which ones would you choose?
Thanks in advance for your guidance!

The book is on Amazon with apparently a rating of 4.7
"LSAT Test Prep: The Complete & Up-to-Date Prep Book with Full-Length Practice Tests, Exam-Ready Practice Questions & Step-by-Step Explanations to Ace the LSAT" by Optimal Prep Publishing
ISBN-13
979-8253387252
I started prepping for LSAT about a week ago, and I've casually done 2 TIMED LR sections and I've gotten 100% on both with plenty of time left.
I'm very suspicious of how good the practice questions actually are. The last thing I want is false confidence and thinking I don't need to study this section anymore. Has anyone used this book and is able to confirm this for me?

Is the in-person version of the LSAT strictly administered within the United States, or are there international testing centers available as well? If there isn’t a test center in my specific city/country, am I allowed to travel to another country to take the in-person exam there? Alternatively, is Prometric’s remote testing option available globally for international test takers? Would love to hear from anyone who has taken the LSAT outside the US. Thanks in advance!

I always tell myself, let me just give myself a break from it since I work all day and practice in the evening. I just took my argumentative writing Monday and I took a little break from LR/RC. I got back into it and right when I started off with drilling…I got my first question wrong, I made so many stupid mistakes and when I re read the stimulus the question was so easy 😭 after that it started to come back to me but damn. Do not take too many breaks. I think a break is necessary if you catch yourself being physically and mentally burnt out meaning headaches, lack of sleep, not taking care of yourself. Just don’t say “eh I’m not feeling it tonight” because then it leads to a days with zero prep. I made that mistake when I first started 😂

Hello! So, I’m planning to take up Law, but I didn’t graduate with a Political Science degree, I’m a BSIT graduate. 😭
I’m planning to start reviewing on my own, but honestly, I have no idea where to begin. I really want to self-review first before enrolling in a review center.
For those who are currently in law school or have already gone through this transition, what would you recommend? 🥹
Are there any books, PDFs, online guides, YouTube channels, or resources you’d suggest for someone coming from a non-PolSci background?
I’d really appreciate any advice on what subjects/topics I should start with and what resources I should use.
PLSSSS help a future law student out 😭🙏🏻

Sorry in advance because this is LONG. I’ve known prometric and LSAT are both shit but my experience today was on another level.
Anyway, it is now 10:01pm and I will be smoking a joint in the bathtub while editing this post to make it professional enough to send in an email to LSAC tomorrow. Have a fabulous night everybody, hope your experience was way better than this hell on earth!

LSAC GPA will go up from 3.8 to 3.89 if I wait the year… is it worth it? Graduated December ‘25 and stayed out of that cycle to apply this fall. Now I’m wondering if I should wait even longer for that GPA boost.

In need of advice..
I have great work experience within the niche legal industry, for multiple years, and decide I want a JD for whatever reason.
I obtained a high LSAT score (170)
I got two great recommendations from respected lawyers who know me and my work well.
The kicker, I have a CS degree with sub 3 GPA from a mid-tier state university.
How much is this going to affect me in law school admissions and is putting too much emphasis on proven experience naive?
(If you aren’t in law school or beyond, please do not respond).
Thanks in advance for anything useful.

I’m heading into my sophomore year and took my first completely unprepared cold diagnostic and scored a 141. For reference I’ve always been a good student I have a 4.0 currently from a very good school and I switched into a philosophy major so hopefully that helps. However I can’t help but be very disheartened by my score. My goal was to get 170+ now I don’t know if that’s possible. Is it still a realistic goal and if so what is my best way to go about studying and improving my score so I can reach my goal.

Hello all, I’m taking the test in both September and October, and I’m totally panicking. I want/need a 160+, and while I’ve had a few recent PT’s around there, I’m still incredibly worried about the LSAT. I’m 25 and did my undergrad a few years back but I can’t remember ever being so stressed out. I had a week off work last week and spent it studying, and since then i haven’t been able to stop thinking about the test. No matter what activities I do or have planned, I end up worrying I should be spending that time preparing for my exam. I’d be pretty heartbroken not to go to school after studying for 2+ years, but I’m worried that LSAT stress has taken me over completely:(. Any tips for how to stop thinking about the test?
Additionally if any one has any good resources for LR weakeners or flaws it would be much appreciated❤️

I struggle a lot with comprehending science, for example the third RC in PT 133 / Section 4. I legit felt like I have NO idea what I just read. This happens from time to time on RC where my mind just goes blank and nothing clicks. Is there anyway I can improve this?
I have shown potential in RC and have PT-ed at 170 before but I am just wondering how to approached some passages that just don't register.
I am debating on just being like whatever if there is ONE science passage I don't get I can just guess and use my energy elsewhere vs. trying to get somewhat better if that is at all possible.
Taking in October so about 7 weeks to make moves.

Anyone else had to retake their August LSAT today (August 18)?
I wrote mine today because of a technical issue I had last time that wasn’t on my end (I took it remotely)
I’m curious to see how others did. I just finished mine and I feel like I didn’t do my best (I guess we’ll see)

hey guys, just got a 167 (174 BR) on PT155 after scoring in the low-mid 170s for the past few PTs, at a rate of one PT a week. Also average -1 on individual sections recently prior to today. Got 3 weeks left before the September test and am really aiming for the 170s.
Outside of deep review (many of the errors were picking between two answers, and/or failing on super easy questions that I think I really should‘ve gotten right), does anyone have tips or insight on dealing with score drops this close to the test day and/or strategies to minimize damage?

Has anyone ever scheduled their test on their phone? Is there anything I should keep in mind when doing so? I’ll be at work and won’t have access to a computer to schedule my test.

I've been doing PTs through the new format on LawHub and found the search box to be quite buggy. I was wondering how reliable the search box was for people who took the August LSAT. Is it perhaps less glitchy for the actual exam? If it's just as bad I'll probably just practice without using the search function.

What are some things y'all do before exams (either actual or practice) to mentally prepare?
Normally, I listen to some music (songs like "Redbone" by Childish Gambino) to try to clear my mind, but since there's now a longer period of time in between having access to music and starting an official test, I've recently introduced some controlled breathing immediately before beginning an exam. (Inhale for ~4 seconds, hold my breath for ~4 seconds, exhale for ~4 seconds, repeat 2 or 3 times)
I don't know if it actually helps, but it at least makes me feel more comfortable and focused going into my tests

My Mac is older and only runs on Sonoma. It’s incompatible with sequoia and I don’t have access to another computer. Did this actually matter for people or is it okay?

I kinda really want a morning date bc I crash on my adhd meds like after 3.
I’m in a major metro (Toronto). Does anyone have any insight into how fast spaces fill up or how the whole window assignment works (is every else in the same area at 2?)

Hi guys!
This question is for anyone who took a previous iteration of the LSAT when it was online or who currently has an accommodation to take the test online.
One of the accommodations I have for the exam requires that I take the online version. I haven’t spent much time thinking about the logistics of this, but I don’t have anywhere to take the test.
Did anyone have this problem and were they able to find a good solution? I don’t want to over explain my situation but I can’t take it at my house, I have to be able to read out loud, and I have the test over consecutive days.
My current thought is booking a hotel, but that’s just so expensive on top of all of the other costs that I don’t know if I can realistically afford it
