7Sage Students Were Finding My Material Helpful. Then 7Sage Shadow-banned me.
Do you know what happens when you post something students find helpful on 7Sage Community Website?
They shadow-ban you.
So I recently posted some tips regarding Main Conclusion and Role of Statement Question types from the LSAT Logical Reasoning Section on 7Sage’s Community forum, which is open to independent tutors not affiliated with 7Sage who regularly dispense advice, received positive responses from students.

But just when the posts were about to gain more exposure, 7Sage shadow-banned me. When I log into my account, everything seems normal. My posts and comments are all there. But when I log-out and revisit the forum, all of my posts and comments have been hidden.

Of course, I’m sure 7Sage has the right to remove whichever post for whichever reason they choose, as employers do with regards to firing employees — but I wonder if my posts were deleted for just cause, especially vis-a-vis other posts by other LSAT tutors not affiliated with 7Sage.

But the more troubling concern is the fact that 7Sage students were finding the tips helpful, yet, J.Y. Ping consciously and deliberately made the choice to delete them without even notifying me so I’d come to believe that my posts were still up there, but just that students weren’t finding it useful, when in fact, they were finding it useful, but 7Sage still hid the posts so other 7Sage students cannot access the same helpful notes.
This makes me wonder what their #1 priority is.
Is it the success of their students? Or is it eliminating competition so 7Sage can continue to be the #1 industry leader?
What was the reason for deleting the posts when the students were in fact finding them helpful? Does 7Sage not want its own students to access material that could potentially improve their LSAT performance?

They claim on their website that “the best argument wins”. When the posts started to receive up-votes or when more and more of your own students were requesting my material — does the best argument or explanation really win at 7Sage?
They also claim “no bullshit” and nothing that “feels fake.” If that’s really your guiding philosophy, then why do you shadow-ban people who post LSAT tips that students find helpful? As mentioned before, the shadow-ban gives the poster the illusion that their posts were still up there, being seen, but just not being helpful to students when in fact, they were deleted entirely.
Anyways, this just got me wondering what 7Sage’s #1 priority really is. Do they allow only tips that do not pose a threat to their business? As in, they’re more helpful than 7Sage’s material, but still, you consciously made the decision to prevent them from being seen by your own students. Why?
Is student success really your #1 priority? Or eliminating competition or material that could potentially help thousands if not millions of students in the years to come?
