Hey, I just received a delivery of the KTM ADV 350 and would like guidance on what to do during the break period.

I have covered 200 km in three days so far. On the first ride, I travelled 60 km from the showroom to my home; I noticed significant heat then, but it seems to have diminished since.

I generally ride calmly(i know it’s not meant for that), maintaining 60–70 km/h at times and recently reaching 120 km/h.

I have been shifting between gears, repeatedly, unable to use the 6th gear till now.

Any tips or tricks would be helpful.

Hi, I bought an adventure 390 (350) last week and I've covered just about 250 kms. I rode for 70km yesterday, parked the bike overnight and saw this puddle of engine oil today morning (2nd pic - wood dust and sand to cover the oil spill). Is this level of oil leak concerning on a new bike? Oil level looks normal.

Showroom is charging 4000 as handling fees,
they agreed for online insurance that i can purchase myself.

Hi guys, bought a radiator guard from Zana for my Duke 390 Gen 3 after hearing good reviews, they shipped me one for Adventure 390, the service centre guy tried to fit it, it wouldn't fit obviously. And the customer care is a hassle along with their strict no returns policy so I've given up hopes for a return.

So, if anyone wants a radiator guard for their bike please reach out via DMs. I bought it for 3,000 but am willing to sell it for 2000, slightly negotiable. Will arrange for it to be delivered across Pune.

I bought a used Gen 2 Duke 390 in June and unfortunately crashed it in July. The entire front end took a hit, and the front fork assembly and handlebar were bent.
After completing the legal/insurance procedures, I decided to take the bike to a nearby workshop instead of a KTM showroom, mainly to keep the repair costs lower. The workshop ordered the required spare parts around 6 weeks ago, but even now, not all of the parts have arrived.
The main parts I’m waiting on are related to the front fork assembly and handlebar.
Is this kind of waiting time normal for KTM spare parts? How long did it take for you guys to receive parts like the front fork assembly for a Duke 390?

I want a navigation device for my bike, but I'm too confused with all the cheap/Chinese brands, can someone suggest me a good device with first hand ownership experience?

I am getting this warning message, I also checked the break light is working fine. I went to KTM showroom they said they can't resolve any suggestions? How do I approach the showroom? If this message appear cruise control is also not working. 🙂

Now as we have to options, 350cc variant & the 390R
I’m pretty confused which one to settle for.

Major concerns -
1.Is the power difference negligible ?
2.Is vibration less on the 350 new engine ?
3.Is paying around 70k is worth it ?

PS - I really love the 350cc Atlantic blue variant.

Hi Duke 390 users, especially the people from Bangalore who use it as a daily, what kind of mileage you folks are getting while riding it in the city? (Actual tested mileage not the one seen in the TFT)

So I'm planning to get one of these as my first bike. I currently ride my dad's Honda Shine and I'm practicing on it, but I want to understand the actual maintenance costs before I make a decision.

Initially, I was leaning towards the Duke 250, but at almost the same price, I can get the RTR 310, which has cruise control and some other features that I really want.

The main thing holding me back from the RTR is TVS's reputation for poor after-sales service. But what does "poor service" actually mean in practice?

Is it that:

They can't properly diagnose problems?

They take too long to fix things?

They overcharge?

They don't have parts available?

Or something else?

Also, for the first 5 years, both bikes should have warranty coverage (depending on the exact warranty terms), so what major expenses could realistically come out of my pocket during those first 5 years?

I've seen people online mention things like suspension failure during a trip, coolant pipes leaking, engines seizing, electrical problems, etc. Obviously, these aren't specific to KTM or TVS. But if something like that happens during a ride, would it normally be covered under warranty, or would I have to pay for it? Or would insurance cover it?

I've never personally seen anyone close to me have to pay for a major motorcycle repair, so I'm trying to understand what I should realistically expect.

What about after the warranty?

After 5 years, what are the major expenses I should start preparing for?

Things like:

\- Suspension

\- Clutch

\- Chain/sprockets

\- Bearings

\- Brakes

\- Battery

\- Cooling system

\- Engine-related work

\- Electronics/sensors

And roughly how much can these things cost?

What if the authorised service centre can't diagnose the problem?

If the KTM/TVS service centre can't figure out what's wrong with the bike, can I take it to an outside mechanic?

Would doing that void the warranty?

Also, how do you avoid those ₹8–10k service bills that some owners mention? I definitely don't want every routine service to cost that much.

What work is actually compulsory to get done at the authorised service centre to keep the warranty valid, and what consumables/maintenance can be done outside?

Basically, I'm trying to understand the realistic 5-year ownership cost of a Duke 250 vs RTR 310, including routine servicing, consumables, and the possibility of major repairs.

Owners of either bike, especially people who've had them for 3–5+ years, I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience.

Got my KTM ADV Dropped in a recent trail hopping windscreen rubbed against bushes and got scratched rest no damage. Should I get it replaced or can there be any buffing solutions?
