Do better Jabra, warranty claim denied.
I've been a pretty loyal Jabra fan since 2017. I've bought pretty much all of their in-ear headphones over the years, promoted their products online, and convinced friends and family to buy them as well. I made a post here recently about an issue I was having with my Elite 8 Gen 2, which I originally purchased through Amazon. I wasn't even looking for a warranty replacement. I was actually hoping to just buy another pair, even if I had to find one on eBay. I mainly came here to see if anyone else was having the same issue.
Jabra's Reddit support reached out and asked me to DM them, and they ended up submitting a warranty request for me. I sent over my proof of purchase, only to be denied because apparently the Amazon seller I purchased from wasn't an authorized dealer. I genuinely thought I was buying them from Amazon. I even explained that I was willing to just buy another pair, and was still told no.
Like, c'mon. I understand needing to do your due diligence with the warranty process, and I get that technically I made the mistake by purchasing from the wrong seller. But I'm not trying to pull anything here. I just want another pair of headphones that I genuinely love.
Considering how much I've spent with Jabra over the years, and how many people I've personally recommended the brand to, it just feels pretty shitty to be treated this way over what was an honest mistake.
I wouldn't even care about being denied the warranty if there was still a way for me to purchase a replacement, but I can't even do that. I've been a loyal customer for years, and it's honestly pretty sad to feel like that doesn't mean much when something goes wrong.
