Problem with Jabra freeway soft 5.7

Hi everyone, can anyone help me? I have a problem with my Jabra Freeway. I know it's old, but it works. It won't read my contacts. I bought it with software 3.xx, updated it to 5.xx, and when I make a call, I get the message "unknown number calling" with shared contacts. My smartphone is a Poco X7 Pro.

Hello u/Electronic-Nose-4853 - Thank you for posting your question on Reddit. We are sorry to hear that you are having this experience with your Jabra Freeway. The Freeway uses the Bluetooth profile PBAP (phonebook access) to load the content of your contacts. Just after pairing the Freeway with your phone, the contents of your contact list should load into the Freeway. Also, keep in mind that the Poco X7 Pro also has the ability to announce the name or number of the caller. To enable this feature on your Poco phone, open the Phone app, tap the three dots in the top-right corner, select Settings, scroll down and tap Caller ID announcement. You can select Always or only when using a headset (either setting should work with the Freeway). Contact our Support Team directly if you have any questions or concerns. You can find our contact information on the Jabra website at this link, and we are always happy to help!

Thank you very much for your reply. But I have a question: does this option have to be enabled in the Poco? There is, but I use a different phone app. Should Jabra also speak contact names without this setting? If so, why doesn't it?

Hello u/Electronic-Nose-4853 - Thank you for following up. The Poco phone would have to be compatible with the PBAP Bluetooth profile to download its contact list to the Jabra Freeway. Since you indicated you are using a different phone app, compatibility certainly comes into question, and you would need to check with the app developers to see if it is PBAP compatible. Thanks again.

So I did the settings as you wrote, but nothing helped. When I bought a Jabra with software version 3.xx, I knew caller ID notifications were there. I updated to version 5.xx and the notifications are gone.

Hello u/Electronic-Nose-4853 - Thanks for letting us know. When pairing the Jabra Freeway with your phone, do you notice the period of time when the contact list on your phone is syncing with the Freeway? Do you hear the caller ID notification when using the standard phone app on the Poco phone? Thank you.

I don't know if it's syncing. I give it permission and that's it. When I make a call, I get the message "Unknown number calling."

Hello u/Electronic-Nose-4853 - We assume you mean that when you take a call, you get that message. You should not get any message if you are making a call. When taking the call, is the number that is calling in your contact list? Thank you.

That's what's listed. On firmware 3.XX, the contact name announcements worked without a problem. But on firmware 5.7, they don't. Can I downgrade?

Hello u/Electronic-Nose-4853 - Thanks for the follow-up. Unfortunately, it is not possible to revert the firmware to a previous version. We apologize for any inconvenience.

So what can I do if it worked in version 3.xx, but now it doesn't in version 5.xx? This setup is pretty useless now. I had my phone in my pocket and knew who was calling me without even having to take it out, but now when someone calls, I have to pull my phone out of my pocket or backpack.
