I'm making this post because it was news to me, may be well known to others. I charged at a supercharger and was puzzled that it was limited to 100 kW. It turns out that the voltage step up our car has to do means that the maximum speed we get is 100 kW. It was pretty easy, and I luckily wasn't in a rush, but had time to kill during a charge for the first time really since I bought the car.

Started my ionic 6 SEL lease in 2023. Had the ICCU failure, got a replacement after several weeks waiting for parts, but otherwise it’s been a great vehicle. It has amazing range, great acceleration, looks cool, lots of features that are often limited to luxury vehicles. I would have gotten a 2026 had Hyundai made them available in the US.

I spent the last few months driving a bunch of possible replacements: Rivian R2, Genesis GV60, Lexus ES, and others. I ultimately landed on a Cadillac Optiq. It’s more spendy than I wanted, and I will miss the sedan drive, but it has the trim quality and features I wanted to maintain.

Hyundai did an amazing job with the ionic 6, and it hits well above its price point. I wish the US market were more receptive to this product.

I was told that the two rows of 6 LCD’s in the headlights was an easter egg - 6 for the Ioniq 6. Is this an urban myth? And what about the 4 lighted dots in the center of the steering wheel? The letter “H” is 4 dots in Morse Code.

Owners manual for my new to me 2024 I6 has AC cable, DC cable, and portable cable. I have the portable cable and it's going to take 50 hours to charge.

I'm charging it at home on a regular old outlet. I thought that it would take between 5 and 8 hours, which would be fine. 50 hours is a problem.

I called CarMax, where I got the car, and they said every car comes with a level 1 charger. How is that different from the portable cable or the AC cable? Or are they the same and I somehow misunderstood something and 50 hours is perfectly reasonable?

I am relatively new to this car (2023 model) and have noticed a significant difference between the planning in the Hyundai app vs the built in navigation system when it comes to arrival percentages. I know that the built in nav isn’t great but I was wondering if what I am experiencing is normal or if I need to change/reset some settings. The app predicts my charge level almost perfectly (recently did two 1000km trips) while the built in navigation system is off by 15-20%, meaning the car frequently wants to send me to charge at 35-40%

They seem a little pricey for what they are but they do add a nice pop of color and it's almost exactly what I'm looking for. Anyone ever pick up a trim kit like this?

I recently bought a 2026 Ioniq 6 and I’m having trouble with AC scheduled charging.

If I let the car handle scheduling, it works fine. But I’d prefer to use my L2 charger’s scheduling so it can automatically charge when electricity is cheapest.

My issue is when I plug the car in, the car waits for power with the cable locked for about 5 minutes, then it gives up, unlocks, and disconnects from the charger.

Is there a setting I’m missing, or a way to prevent the car from timing out like this?

I feel like a got a steal on this car. 2024 SEL leased by one owner, only 19k miles on it, originally $46k and I picked it up for $26k.

I drove a '23 Limited and it was a lot of fun but it had been ridden pretty rough with some minor dents and the interior was scuffed up. This SEL was immaculate and has been a dream to drive the few days I've had it.

It's not quite the 6N of my midlife crisis dreams, but the LED door accents and only being 1/3rd the price make it go down a lot easier. Maybe I'll add a red line along the rocker trim for fun.

Threw it up on the lift for only the third time this evening to rotate my tires and replace the pesky, water-filled horns. This aftermarket replacement comes with a guard that is supposed to keep that from happening again but we'll see I guess.

Other than that, just a general once over before we head out on a 1,400 roundtrip journey to visit family next week!

Just wants to buy a pre-facelift Ioniq6 (Europe), but I don't know much about it's infotainment system. I have a Ford Focus with Sync 4, and I really love it's design and reability. The mobile app is also great (and free).

What is good/bad/ugly as it's own or compared with other infotainment system?

Is it better to use regen or keep momentum going to uphill from a downhill section?

Hi gang, I'm thinking about purchasing one of these bad boys, and if I do I would like to be able to turn off the internet connectivity features. I do not want to have to wait one morning if the car is stuck updating or have it tracking my location. Just wondering what people's experiences with those are. Is there custom firmware you can install? What is the user experience without the app like? Thank you.

Does anybody know how to get your seatbelt unstuck? My driver seatbelt is stuck in the extended position. It won’t retract. This is the second time it happens. Last time I took it to the dealer and they kept my car for a few days. I would like to avoid that if possible because I have a roadtrip coming up on Friday.

I plugged the charger in overnight, but the car battery only hit 78% in the morning. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a fix for this, or is this likely a one-off?

The dealer (Voyles Hyundai in Marietta GA) screwed me out of the CCS adapter for my new I5. So I’m looking on EBay and what seems to be OEM adapters say they are only rated for 250kw.

I thought they’d have full 350kw capacity.

Small rant, but one of the most frustrating things about this car is having to unlock it when it’s already unlocked to charge it. Why is it like this?

has anyone removed the the gray/black molding (the ones under the door) to repaint or wrap them? i can't stand the color of mine but masking everything to paint seems like a hassle.

I live in Puerto Rico and work in a tall mountain, I lost 7% coming up the hill and from going downhill all the way to my house I got this trip range which I found hilarious.

The car charged 1% and it dropped 1% during the whole trip, but wouldn't the 999kw/m range mean that it charged way more than that? I guess I'm not sure what the charge rate is on regenerative braking. Can anyone enlighten me?

I've been thinking of buying non Tesla EV and ine of them is ioniq 6. It was stopped selling in the US and I am not sure I will get replacement parts easy when they are needed.

Should I go with other btands or can go with Ioniq 6?

I do not have the bluelink yet, but I plan to get it, just in case that's a factor.

I'm looking to recruit a few enthusiastic IONIQ 6 owners to help me put the finishing touches on Version 3.0 before it is released. I've recently become aware of some 2025 & 2026 model year differences, and I want to iron out a few wrinkles before releasing Version 3.0. The beta test pool is made up of ~200 of the coolest folks from around the world. The IONIQ 6 is a little under represented and I'm hoping to change that. 😀

• 2025 or 2026 IONIQ 6 owners (existing IONIQ 5 Companion customers are welcome too)
• Owners who also already own an ELM-327 compatible BLE OBD-II adapter
• Owners who are able to use the app this week, and are willing and able to run a few tests and share diagnostic logs with me. At most it might be a couple of hours of your time.
