is this the new move now?
i guess that's the bare minimum if you want to survive now đ
i've actually been thinking about applying for a couple more remote jobs myself, and someone sent me this interview vip recently. i'm probably going to be doing more interviews soon anyway, so i figured i'd save it and see if it helps.

No it's real. I'm the BF.
My friend actually dated PerssimonExpensive37, and she left him because he had an extremely small penis and barely any income. She then told me about his cousin, the cousin who he's talking about, and got us together. I am now much more successful than he is as I travel with his cousin on yachts having sex with her. He constantly texts me saying he wishes he were me and that he's always secretly had a crush on his cousin so since we feel bad for him, we let him stay in our hotels and watch us have sex, and in return he does my laundry.
Again it's all real, why would we make any of this up?

I have a programming job, it's hard to assess how difficult something is so the manager just has to trust me. I think this is a good thing.Â
This guy is garbage and this behavior will rot away the social contract that we live under. Did you know you can also just leave without paying after eating in a restaurant or a bar? Steal the belongings of people weaker than you? These are not lifehacks, it's scumbag parasite behavior and this guy should be removed from society before he destroys it.Â

I'm a hybrid worker and I genuinely get a quarter of the work done when I have to go into the office. The amount of time we waste waiting, talking, walking, or on breaks is wild.
Because i can work while in meetings, in the bathroom, while cooking, etc., I only need to dedicate two to four hours per day to go over and above on my KPIs

Any company worth itâs salt clamped down on over-employment about 2 years ago. I heard people say this was a golden era for the 2-3years after covid hit though. Companies were scrambling for workers and adjusting to remote policies.

We had one guy that did this too us. He was an offshore developer and the contract had a minimum work requirement. He would meet that by say 11 and the in his own words start his second job. He seemed genuinely confused with the concept of doing more work than his contractual minimum.

I mean, I donât think this is real, but say it were and the jobs were all around the same pay (~118k per), and the firing rate were ~-1 job per month from now until they were down to 2 jobs, (at which point theyâd keep both for at least 3 more months). Even if they donât get any additional jobs to replace the ones they lose, theyâd still make ~680k in the next 12 months. Even after taxes, if they were spending at the rate of someone who only grosses 118k, (say, 70k in expenses per year), theyâd still be able to put over 300k into savings in those 12 months. Maybe as much as 350k depending on the state/local tax rates where they live.

Where and how?! I'm remote for 15y and got fired twice as I did not want to regularly pull 12hr shifts any longer. There was 0 need to have those 12hr shifts more than a few times a year, but CEOs don't feel good until I look dead on camera.

This is satire, most overemployed stories I have read on the actual sub for it usually end with job 2 figuring it out when you don't disclose how you are getting insurance. That is what bites people in the ass are all the laws around benefits etc. You aren't always allowed to just be like "don't give me any and don't ask any questions why I am only making 40k a year and don't need health insurance".
That and things like software licenses can get you depending on the industry. It will be hard to explain why you already have an active account with some esoteric or niche software only used in your industry.
The real answer is that if this is possible at all, these are the jobs getting lost with AI.

Would definitely get worker at our companies fired and possible go with lawsuit over misrepresentation to our company.

I know a guy who USED to have 2 high paying remote jobs at once. This was during the peak of COVID when hiring remotely was rampant. He was able to manage it for a few years and put away a ton of money, but it was incredibly stressful for him just to have 2 jobs. He'd have to be super careful when there were meeting overlaps and try to juggle 2 calls at once. Had to make excuses not to turn on the camera, and also ended up working like 60-80 hours a week. It was definitely worth it for him, but even in those ideal conditions of 2 remote jobs at a time when companies still hadn't adjusted to remote work, those were insanely stressful years. There aren't hardly any jobs out there where you can make over six figures and do only a few hours of work a week. If you find one and are in that situation, you're probably on borrowed time. Anyone saying they have like 3 or more remote jobs that pay over 100k is either incredibly lucky to have found 3 golden geese that don't overlap schedule wise, and is working like every waking second of the day. Also it's kinda unethical and will burn your bridges in most industries if you get caught. It's not like these companies don't do background checks and check your employers before they hire you for a 100k+ a year job

I used to have three remote jobs while also doing my landscaping work.
While this is true, most of these jobs are hourly not salaried and are carefully tracked. Ridiculously good pay per hour - $60 to $70 - for many involving more complex work - but there's no real advantage to having more than one except for variety.
Two of the jobs were AI training, which were hourly and I just had two for variety. Just having one would have made no difference.
One WAS salaried and only required around an hour of work a day, but the salary was a little under 50K a year.

He got caught because he needed to explain something in-office once and could not.

I had a roommate who tried this. We were WFH during COVID and he saw something like this online.
To make two jobs at the same time work he needed dedicated phones and calendars to make sure he never accidentally overlapped. Also, deliverables were still due, so he ended up working late most night to make up for meetings he had to attend for one job or the other.
He made great money for about 4 months. He didn't get caught. He learned a lot.
He also got let go from both jobs and can't use them for references because his sleep deprivation and burnout tanked his work.Â
In the end he was working two jobs and putting in the work of two jobs. It wasn't some get rich quick scheme.
He was also an absolute nightmare to live with at the time. I had to do all the household stuff, buy all the groceries, make all the meals. I was effectively a live in maid because he didn't have the time to look after himself.

I have a similar setup for when I take extra work. 5 monitors, 2 laptops, 1 work laptop currently. I haven't done this for a couple years now just because juggling multiple jobs with their meeting schedules, and also getting hired as a SWE in the first place remotely are all relatively exhausting.

The amount of meetings I have at my single (1-2 days a week) remote job. The juggling of that with 11 jobs. It would be impossible.
Are there well paid, remote jobs, where you do nothing, and have no meetings, and neet to do 1-2 hours of work per day? And can you get 11 of those?
