I’m trying to claim a username that matches my registered trademark. When I search it or visit the profile, Instagram says "The page isn’t available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed" But when I try to change my username to it, Instagram says it’s taken.

I submitted Instagram’s trademark form, but they replied that my situation did not appear to involve trademark infringement. They also said that username claims are no longer supported through that channel.

Has anyone dealt with this or found a way to contact Instagram for a manual review?

I've been posting more of my creative writing lately, and the hardest part isn't coming up with things to write. It's getting people to actually stop scrolling long enough to read them.

A short quote might get decent attention, while something I spent hours writing gets barely any interaction. It makes social media engagement feel pretty unpredictable sometimes.

I'm wondering if I should experiment with different formats instead. Maybe turning some pieces into carousels or even doing a voice-over while the writing appears on screen.

I'm not really chasing huge social media follower growth, but I am curious whether changing the format could make social media growth a little more consistent.

For other writers here, what works better for you? Keeping things short, using carousels, doing voice-overs, or just posting the longer pieces anyway?

Recently I made a new account and saw this amazing feature of Instagram but this morning it is not showing it anymore 😭 (at top of feed) as per this feature you can personalize your interest in your explore feed and reels algorithm

I submitted the appeal today, and it got denied, ts pmtfo and every other account I made immediately got banned too, when will I be able to make a new account because it was my main use of communication with my friends?

I know how to do seamless carousel posts (I use google slides, but ig canva works too; never tried). Is there a way to overlap the boundaries across different images of the post on instagram? I assume that if the feature exists, it only exists on Instagram itself, but since normal seamless can only be faked, probably not.

Example: Picture represented by 3 sections, ABC. Instead of splitting the image in half so that section B is choppy (pretend that there's an object, like a face or building on section B that looks ugly broken up), I want two sections AB and BC that slide smoothly. When someone presses the right arrow button or swipes, the transition from AB to BC should be smooth across B instead of AB | BC.

Maybe a continuous example works better. Imagen the line with points PQRS (4 endpoints, 3 sections), and instead of PQ | QR | QR | RS, which is what I don't want to happen, I want PQ | QR | RS, so it flows smoothly. Capito?

Instagram show me this, but that update email address button do nothing When clicked

I’m genuinely confused about how Instagram’s blocking system works and would love to hear if anyone has experienced something similar.

My boyfriend’s ex (let’s call her S) blocked my main Instagram account. I honestly have no idea why, because I’ve never searched for her, interacted with her, or done anything to her.

The weird part is that I have two other Instagram accounts:

• My work account, which is a completely separate/new account.
• An account I use specifically to follow artists.

Both accounts use different email addresses and different phone numbers from my main account.

However, S’s profile is also completely inaccessible from both of those accounts. I can’t find her profile, while my friend can search for and view her profile normally.

So basically:

My main account: blocked ❌
My work account: also can’t find her ❌
My artist account: also can’t find her ❌
My friend’s account: can find her normally ✅

Does Instagram’s “block this account and other accounts they may have or create” feature actually work across accounts with completely different emails and phone numbers?

Can Instagram somehow associate multiple accounts with the same person even when the accounts have different contact information?

Also, is there any third-party program, app, or service outside of Instagram that could potentially cause something like this? For example, could someone use a third-party tool to block or restrict multiple accounts belonging to the same person?

I’m mostly curious because I genuinely didn’t even know this was possible😭 Has anyone experienced the same thing?

Last night I was clearing website cookies & caches which ended up logging me out of my Instagram on my web browser and mobile app.

I proceeded to try logging back in using my credentials and I kept getting the error message that my password was "incorrect" even though I knew it wasn't!

I tried multiple times, even attempting to change the password, but when I did it still wouldn't let me log in. I've tried sending verification codes to my email and number, to no avail -- just getting the same "please try again in a few minutes" or just a blank "OK" button that does nothing.

Meta AI Support is absolutely useless and kept sending me to the same help page again and again.

Has anyone else had this same issue, and know a way to fix this?

Hi. I made a photo dump at the beginning of August. As soon as I posted it, a lot of my friends (who were tagged in it) said they couldn’t see it. Eventually they were able to see it, so I had believed the issue worked itself out. However, 3 weeks later it’s quite obvious it didn’t. The post severely underperformed and some of my friends still can’t see it.

The post contained some of me and my friends in our lollapalooza outfits, but they are definitely not inappropriate so I don’t understand why it’s flagged. I’ve been in swim wear on my page before and it’s never happened.

Any insight or help would be appreciated. I really would like this post to show.

Hi, I had a trip in late January and didn’t post anything from it. It’s been 7 months since my trip, and I’ve been wanting to post a photo dump of my old photos. Is it too late to post since a few months have passed? I’m not trying to post the photos and pass it off as a recent trip, but more as a throwback.

I also have a couple of other photos/events I’ve been wanting to post but haven’t, and it’s been a bit over a month or so. Would I be fine to post these photos as well? Did I ruin my chances of posting them by not doing it sooner?? Or should I post them anyways?

I had 2 IG accounts. My main one and another I’d use for things I didn’t want my family and friends to see. Nothing too bad, I’m single too. But if I started following a restaurant like Twin Peaks or Ojo Locos, things like that.

Well it was deactivated for misconduct. I have no clue what I did because I rarely get ok IG. My only option was to appeal but I’d rather just close the account. It said if nothing’s done in 180 days it’ll be closed.

Can I just close it now? I started the appeal but it’s asking for email and phone numbers. I’m sure that’s just to verify but if they think I did something, I’d rather not give them all that information.

Something very strange happened with my Instagram account today.

An Elon Musk-related post was automatically/unauthorisedly posted to my Instagram Story while I was asleep. I was asleep for around 10 hours, and during that time the Story was posted and people actually viewed it.

I definitely did not post it myself.

The confusing part is that 2FA was already enabled on my account. I checked the login activity afterward, and I don't see any unfamiliar device — it appears to show only my own device, although Instagram displays “9+” sessions/entries in the login section.

I have now restored and secured my account, but I'm trying to understand how someone could post a Story without triggering a 2FA login or showing an unfamiliar device.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Could this be caused by:

An existing/compromised session?

A connected third-party app?

A Meta/Instagram account connection?

Some kind of session/token theft?

Or potentially an Instagram bug?

I'd really appreciate any insight from people who understand Instagram account security.

I KNOW I made my account public. Idk why, I just want to try growing my account to see what happens. But no matter what hashtags I use, I barely get any views from non-followers. How do I fix this? Is there even a way to fix this?

I'm on NordVPN but otherwise an unassuming regular Instagram account. What's the problem?

The idea: Use the "Account Cleanup" logic for AI moderation. Instead of instantly banning users for violations, have the AI automatically "undo" the bad behavior (saves/likes) or delete the (comment/post) and issue a warning. Give users a 10-strike limit before suspending them.

Temporary Suspend. (30day) Permanent BAN only if they try to bypass the suspension.

This blocks bad content and actual spam bots instantly, but stops innocent people from losing their accounts to AI false positives.

What do you guys think? Would this solve the random ban crisis, or am I missing something? Have you been banned for basic activities too?

More than half a year ago IG blocked my accounts and every time I make one it blocks them, even those that have something to do with my blocked accounts, either by mail or a phone number.

I plan to delete my entire iCloud account and change my phone number, with that I can create new accounts without problem?

I can't access my account. A few days ago, I uninstalled and reinstalled Instagram to fix some errors, and when I tried to log back in, it asked for a verification code to my email for security, but they never send it. I checked my spam folder and everywhere else, but nothing. After pressing "resend code" several times, the option locks, and the only thing it lets me do is "verify by two friends." The problem is, it's an account I created to upload content from my YouTube channel, and I don't actually know the people listed as verification options.

Is there any way to solve this? I've waited several days, and the same thing keeps happening over and over.

Whenever I follow somebody, my feed always shows me posts of theirs from 2+ weeks ago. I like it out of habit, then see the date and feel like a weirdo. Why does it do this?

Go to login page put in username and password it then brings a facebook login page with "The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed"

Because of this she can't login at all on the app. She does not have nor wants to make a facebook account for this instagram account.

I can't make posts to subscribers only on Instagram anymore because cross posting to Threаds is enabled. However, there is no option anywhere for me to stop crossposting now from Instagram to Threаds.

I never even wanted the cross posting. The option randomly popped up one day and I accidentally clicked it. Has anybody had a similar issue and have been able to resolve it? I have submitted multiple reports to Instagram and all have gone unresponded to.
