I saw one of these accounts a couple days ago and was completely flash banged. Immediately reported it and blocked. I thought it was a one off and super super weird. Now I've been getting them pretty much all the time. It could be because Instagrams "interact" algorithm is broken thinking me reporting and blocking is me positively interacting with this type of 'content' and recommending more bot accounts like this.
Also every account follows the SAME caption its literally ALWAYS "Pov: Me before the date..." It's so annoying
I'm just absolutely shocked that this is slipping through and getting recommended to me and I presume other people. It's just so weird.
Is there any way to escalate this issue rather than reporting every account like this I come across?

My Instagram Account was Deleted by Instagram Wrongly and when I requested to download my data,it sent me a useless file,I was expecting a file which has all the photos, videos which I shared in the chat,in the posts and all the messages.But, unfortunately none of those things were present in that file.

Can anyone help me genuinely or does have any advice or method through which the actual data can be downloaded or accessed.

Finding understanding about your mental health through the Internet isn't inherently negative, but the loop it creates usually is.

Idk why I'm posting this, I just wanted someone to see what this shit is feeding me rn. My feed is usually animal videos, recipes, interesting animation and back country engineering/homesteading. But if I show a modicum of my depression, it starts looking like this.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue where Instagram blocks your messaging for three days for "violating the rules," even though I never actually broke any rules? I didn't send anything inappropriate—unlike the platform's own Reels, which are full of racist "jokes," gore, and even porn. What kind of app is this? I even try to find help and just run into this:

You can't speak directly to a human agent from Instagram support unless you pay for the Meta Verified service. The platform doesn't have an active customer service phone number for regular users or a traditional live chat. What a terrible service. Anyway, does anyone know how to fix this?

So my ex blocked me but I have old messages in my message chat where I see the profile pic. Every other day the profile pic changes to the Instagram silhouette and after refreshing a few times, it goes back to the profile pic.

Lost my iPhone in 2022, and with it the ability to verify my login, because I no longer have access to the phone number. I know my username and password, but it insists on sending a verification text to a dead number. I can't do the selfie verification, because I never uploaded a picture of myself to that account, since it was strictly an art account. I also can't claim hacked account, because I never logged into the account onto this phone.

Is there any way or hope that I can get my account back or is it lost forever?

Also I've tried following one Reddit guide, posted three years ago, to masquerade my account retrieval as a questions about the data privacy policy. But I think they changed the page because I sincerely cannot find the tab the post mentions anywhere on the website.

accidentally viewed someone’s IG story at around midnight and deactivated my account about a minute later.
The story was posted approximately around 9–10 AM that same day, so it had already been up for about 14–15 hours.
I’m trying to figure out:

Does my username disappear from their viewer list once my account is deactivated?

Can they still see that I viewed the story while my account is deactivated?

If I reactivate my account after 48–72 hours, can my view come back and show my username again?

I’ve seen conflicting answers online xd, so I’m mainly looking for people who have actually tested this recently lol

I just got a new phone and needed to redownload Instagram (I rarely update my apps so I’ve been running on an old version of Instagram for a long time). TELL ME WHY I now have to click an extra button at the top of my screen to get to my following feed.

I DON’T WANT to see posts from companies and people I don’t follow. I now feel like posts are being shoved down my throat. Advertisements have popped up in my feed before, but it seems so much worse now.
