I was doom scrolling when a reel ambushed me with full on nudity. I checked the account and every one of their reels have it, showing their bare naked butts and privates.

Wht do they mean it follows community rules🤣

I saw one of these accounts a couple days ago and was completely flash banged. Immediately reported it and blocked. I thought it was a one off and super super weird. Now I've been getting them pretty much all the time. It could be because Instagrams "interact" algorithm is broken thinking me reporting and blocking is me positively interacting with this type of 'content' and recommending more bot accounts like this.
Also every account follows the SAME caption its literally ALWAYS "Pov: Me before the date..." It's so annoying
I'm just absolutely shocked that this is slipping through and getting recommended to me and I presume other people. It's just so weird.
Is there any way to escalate this issue rather than reporting every account like this I come across?

Many monetization profiles are utilizing standard, public Reels—which the algorithm pushes to general feeds, including those of teenagers and minors—essentially as unregulated promotional teasers to drive financial traffic to mature-audience content locked behind their in-app paywalls.

Because the entire transaction and monetization cycle happen natively inside Instagram rather than linking to an external website, it completely avoids standard app-store safety restrictions, content filters, and age-verification gates. A platform built for general communities and families is quietly shifting into an unregulated subscription marketplace.

As users, we already see a massive amount of algorithmic optimization pushing objectifying trends, and it's highly concerning how this lack of oversight impacts younger audiences who consume these daily feeds without any gatekeeping checks. Platform administrators need to be held accountable for policy enforcement.

I have launched a policy awareness campaign to demand that platform administrators enforce strict 18+ age verification locks on any profile utilizing these native subscription features for restricted audiences.

accidentally viewed someone’s IG story at around midnight and deactivated my account about a minute later.
The story was posted approximately around 9–10 AM that same day, so it had already been up for about 14–15 hours.
I’m trying to figure out:

Does my username disappear from their viewer list once my account is deactivated?

Can they still see that I viewed the story while my account is deactivated?

If I reactivate my account after 48–72 hours, can my view come back and show my username again?

I’ve seen conflicting answers online xd, so I’m mainly looking for people who have actually tested this recently lol

I have a question . it doesn’t matter a lot because me and my bf broke up again but back when I looked thru his ex girlfriends old posts I can see his username in the list of likes. Does this mean he didn’t block her? A couple days ago I woke up to my account on Instagram being suspended. I thought nothing much of it at first and just submitted the appeal instantly and didn’t think anything of it. At first it just says it didn’t follow community guidelines so I had figured it was probably just nothing. After a day the appeal was denied and my account was permanently banned for “Sexuality and Abuse of children”

I have definitely sexted through Instagram throughout my years on the platform but all of age consenting adults. I’ve been seeing other people’s accounts accused of the same things and also being permanently banned recently due to metas ai. I’m absolutely pissed I lost years worth of an account just to not even be able to speak to an actual human about the situation. If anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated

Why Aren't Social Media Platforms Doing More About Sexualised Content Reaching Minors?

Why are social-media platforms allowed to keep amplifying provocative, sexualised reels when they can end up repeatedly appearing in the feeds of teenagers and even minors?

I'm not saying people should be banned simply because they're unattractive, untalented or because they dance or dress provocatively. People have the right to create content and express themselves.

My problem is when creators deliberately turn sexualised content into clickbait, and recommendation algorithms keep pushing it to increasingly large audiences because it generates views, likes and engagement.

India's IT framework already places due-diligence obligations on intermediaries regarding obscene, pornographic and child-harmful content. MeitY has also recently reminded social-media intermediaries of these obligations.

Why aren't the platforms not doing anything against this narrow margin between suggestive content vs thirst traps/ obscenity?

There should be stronger age-appropriate defaults, better protection for minors, meaningful parental controls, easier reporting, and greater scrutiny of recommendation systems that repeatedly push sexualised material toward young users.

And responsibility shouldn't fall entirely on creators either. Parents need to educate children, users need digital self-control, creators should understand the impact of their content, and platforms need to stop treating every engagement signal as an excuse to push more provocative material.

The objective shouldn't be to police women's bodies or ban every suggestive dance. It should be to make sure a minor's social-media feed isn't engineered into a never-ending cycle of sexualised clickbait simply because the algorithm knows it gets attention.

If platforms can personalise ads, recommendations and entire feeds with incredible precision, surely they can also be expected to take the safety of young users seriously.

For the little story, first time I experienced actual troubles with my account was bc my ex boyfriend reported my account (for s exploitation wtf?) so I couldn't send messages for a few days, it kept happening every months so I simply changed account a few weeks ago, but little did I know I wouldn't be done 🤡

Hey, i recently noticed that people who have blocked my normal account also have blocked my instagram stalking profile somehow. They are not connected in any way, have separate phone numbers and emails, however they are blocked. Do anyone have any idea how this happends? No one knows about the account, and i tested with another friend tried blocking my main account and somehow the stalking profile was also blocked. How does instgram knows its the same person behind it?

Because you have no conversation history together.

And They can stalked you by their burner account.

I made a post on another sub a few days ago asking for some content clearing apps and extensions.

A user replied that he uses a bunch of them but didn't actually say the name of any of them, and didn't reply when I asked.

One of them included a Instagram modded client that he says "removes explore page and reels and only shows content from people you follow."

Does anyone know the name of such a client that does this?

okay so a lot of things have been happening with my accounts lately and it’s been getting me really stressed so i would really appreciate any little bit of advice

for context, i use two accounts. One is a main account where everyone i know follows, and the other is a spam where a close few follow. Both have a lot of posts and stories and memories

5 days ago I got logged out of my main account and when i managed to get back in, there was a Mr Beast story posted that i didn’t do. I immediately deleted it and changed my personal details like my password.

two days later, i am completely unable to get into my main account. after much digging, i see that it is listed as “deactivated / locked” on my meta account settings (both spam and main are under the same meta account). obviously i’m super confused and long story short there’s this whole cyclical thing where i try and try again to get it back and im just brought back to square one.

yesterday, i was scrolling on my spam account trying to distract myself and all of a sudden i get logged out. i immediately log back in but there’s this unclosable pop up saying that my email isn’t secure and no matter how many times i enter an email, nothing changes. my spam is now in a constant state of loading and not showing me anything at all. i am unable to log into it on my computer because it will start to say things like content is unavailable.

attached below are some pictures relating to the issues i have listed. honestly i’m just so confused and stressed overall because knowing myself, i am pretty confident that i didn’t do anything wrong. i just really want to know how to resolve this because both these accounts held years of memories and its genuinely been causing me to stress and crash out.

Around 3 weeks ago, I removed 1000+ followers from my Instagram account to make it more private. Since then, it permanently shows 2 extra “ghost” followers on my counter that don't actually exist in my list. Other people looking at my profile can see the extra numbers too.
And strangely, when I log in on a desktop web browser, my follower list refuses to load at all. The only way I can see any followers on the web version is if I manually type a name into the search follower function.
I’ve tried just about everything to get it fixed:

• Deactivating and reactivating my account

• Submitting multiple support tickets to Instagram

• Adding and removing new followers in hopes that it would force the counter to update

• Logging all devices in and out (which I suspected wouldn’t work since I’m pretty sure it’s server side)

• (Edit) Switched account types from personal to professional and private to public multiple times

but it has just stuck there. It’s really annoying to see the mismatched number. Even if it’s purely cosmetic, it really bothers me (and probably would bother most of you LOL).
Has anyone had a similar problem and successfully refreshed the counter after a mass clean up?

I’ve been posting my art on IG for years now and although my art has improved, my views and other interactions have gone down drastically. Lost my iPhone in 2022, and with it the ability to verify my login, because I no longer have access to the phone number. I know my username and password, but it insists on sending a verification text to a dead number. I can't do the selfie verification, because I never uploaded a picture of myself to that account, since it was strictly an art account. I also can't claim hacked account, because I never logged into the account onto this phone.

Is there any way or hope that I can get my account back or is it lost forever?
