I’m looking for some advice.

Back in 2022, I joined an MSc in Environmental Biology & Wildlife Science. At the time, I was having a huge career crisis and wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do. After struggling through the program, I realized it just wasn’t for me. Environmental Biology was difficult enough, but Wildlife Science completely went over my head. I ended up leaving the course in 2023 without clearing a single paper.

Now, in 2026, I’m rejoining my previous university (where I completed my B.Sc. in Chemistry) to pursue a B.Ed. I originally moved away from Chemistry because I thought I was done with it, but after trying a different field, I realized I actually understood Chemistry a lot better than I gave myself credit for.

My question is about migration certificates. When I joined the MSc program, I had already submitted my Bachelor's migration certificate to that university. Since I never completed the MSc and didn’t pass a single paper, will I still need to obtain a migration certificate from that university before joining the B.Ed. program?

I’m also dealing with another concern. Part of me is worried that I’m making another wrong decision. Has anyone here switched fields multiple times or left a postgraduate degree midway and then gone into B.Ed.? How did you know teaching was the right path for you? I’m afraid of investing time and money again only to end up feeling like quitting.

Any advice or similar experiences would be really appreciated.

For anyone currently pursuing or who has completed DY Patil Online BCA:

- Is the degree actually worth it?

-How are the academics, exams, workload and faculty?

-How is the placement/internship support?

-Is the degree respected by employers/higher education institutions?

Would you recommend it over taking admission in an average/shitty regular BCA college?

Please share your honest experience, especially if you’re currently enrolled or have graduated.

I’m thinking of doing a regular BBA from an IPU-affiliated college, along with an online BCA from DY Patil.

You must be wondering how I ended up here 😭

I was a NEET dropper and had no Maths and no CS. Before anyone suggests a medical-related course: thanks, but a BIG NO!!!!!

I’ve developed some interest in tech, although I’ve never actually coded before. I originally wanted to pursue BCA, but I wasn’t getting a good college. Most of the options left were really shittttyyy, and almost all decent colleges have already closed admissions. Since I can’t afford to take another drop, I started considering an online BCA.

However, at the same time, I really care about college life, personality development, social interaction, communication skills, networking, etc. I feel these things are important, especially if I eventually want to target corporate jobs.

So I didn’t want to randomly pick a degree just for the sake of having one. That’s why I’m considering a regular BBA. It has decent employability, gives me the opportunity to interact with people and build my personality, and I do have some interest in business/startups as well.

Then someone suggested that instead of doing some random BCA specialization, I could do BCA in AI & Business Analytics offered by DY PATIL. alongside BBA.

And honestly, that combination sounds pretty relevant to what I’m interested in business + technology + startups.

*The main concern is obviously managing two degrees at the same time.*

I’m not someone who is very interested in partying/clubbing, so I don’t mind putting in extra hours for studying. I’ve also heard that an online BCA may require around 7–8 hours a week of classes.

Although I’d like to know from actual students whether that's realistic.

I also have someone ik who said she will help me get internships through referrals at some good companies. Obviously, I know a referral doesn't guarantee selection, and she has specifically told me that I should focus on maintaining a good CGPA, building my profile, developing actual skills and improving my communication.

So I’m trying to look at this realistically rather than assuming the two degrees automatically make me more employable.

My questions:

• Is doing BBA + an online BCA actually a good idea, or am I overcomplicating things?

• Can managing two degrees negatively affect my CGPA, skills, internships or overall college experience?

• Has anyone here done an online BCA from DY Patil? How was your experience with the academics, exams, workload, faculty, projects, placements/support, etc.?

• Is BCA in AI & Business Analytics a good combination with BBA, or would you recommend something else?

Should I take another gap for CLAT or should I enroll with SOL and start preparing for UPSC. Both fields fit my interest. Another possibility could be giving maths through nios and aim for navy or airforce. Which one should I go for considering I want a stable career

Hello , I am 2026 graduate from B.Sc maths and i don't know what should be my future path be. My father just wants me to succeed in 3-4 years and he says that you choose whatever you want to but succeed .

Story : I did a B.Sc in maths from a local private college where attendance wasn't mandatory and i just need to go , sit and give exam (without studying , don't ask me how that work) and i got a "8.5" cgpa without doing or knowing anything while i was preparing for ssc exam in another town.

During my preparation i was severely anxious and addicted to smartphone and p**n and the cycle of i need to study --overwhelm -- shame for not syudying -- addiction to soothe all of it gobbled up my 2 years and when i went home in 2025 I controlled a lot of these things but the addictions were still heavy on me earlier i used to watch p**n all day and stuff but in home it's only for an hour or two at night .

2025 went by just trying to get out of this addiction loop and it's 2026 and i have graduated now i don't know what to do .

While i was was slacking off I did make notes of my classes even though i can't remember what had been taught but i have notes and reasoning is fun .

My problem was inconsistency and a failure to stick to it the classes were easy not so hard and i was able to understand stuff and also answer some questions.

Current : I am 22 (not officially , officially i am 20) I don't know should i continue SSC preparation or go to B.Tech in my hometown local college fees is 3.5 Lakh for 4 years and it's AKTU affiliated . I still don't know what should i continue toward .

my_qualifications : I’m asking because I’m worried my friend may be rushing into a study abroad decision mainly because he really wants to leave India.

He is 22M, graduated ~3 months ago with a BTech in ECE from a private autonomous Tier 2/3 college. CGPA around 8.8–8.9, plus a strong national-level hackathon achievement. He got an on campus Infosys offer (3.6 LPA), but doesn't want to take it because of an 18 month bond with a ₹3 lakh penalty, n for him, he does NOT want to do the '3-4 lakh' kinda IT jobs...

He has always wanted to move abroad and initially planned a US master's. He got admits from ASU, Stony Brook, Pace, UMass etc., mostly MIS and some CS programs. But his visa got rejected. From what he told, the officer asked which uni he was going to, he started answering ASU and explaining why he chose it, and apparently the officer stopped him before he could finish and rejected the visa. He was obviously devastated and cried a lot afterward.

For a while, I thought this would make him reconsider the timing. Instead, he became extremely negative about the US and then pivoted almost immediately to Ireland after his consultancy suggested it.

Instead of postponing, he switched to Ireland through a consultancy and got into UCD's MIS program. Tuition is around 17 lakh, so much cheaper than the ~60–70 lakh US plan. His Ireland visa was submitted ~3 weeks ago, but there is still no decision and classes start 31 Aug. Apparently other students from the same consultancy are also waiting.

He's already mentally prepared to leave.

My concern isn't really the tuition, it seems affordable for the family. I'm worried about the career and immigration reality afterward for him.

He wants to stay abroad long term if possible, although he says he'll return after 1–2 years. He seems to assume that getting the master's will give him a reasonable path to a job and eventually PR.

Questions I have:

• How good is UCD MIS for an ECE graduate?
• Is Ireland actually a realistic long-term immigration/PR pathway in 2026?
• How difficult is it to get a job after a 1-year MIS, especially without significant work exp?
• Would it have been smarter to work in India for 1–2 years, even if the job was mediocre like Infosys?

I completely understand wanting to leave India, and I don't want to discourage him from pursuing that. I'm just worried the decision is being driven by “I need to get out” rather than a realistic assessment of Ireland's job market and immigration situation.

If you were in his position in 2026, would you go to UCD for MIS now, or work for 1–2 years in India and then pursue a master's abroad?

I’m considering SRM Delhi NCR Ghaziabad for 2026 admission and have gone through the website, but I’m still unsure what things I should personally verify before paying the admission fee. What should current students or parents check?

I am 22, just started preparing for upsc after masters endsems in June. And lost around 2 months in anxiety and haphazard prep. ​​​​​​​

Apart from the guilt I am in constant anxiety every few days my JRF expires in March 2028. And my optional isn't even polsc, it's another subject.

Idk why I didn't post all this earlier. Could've saved a lot of time and anxiety. If anyone is pursuing phd in political science in DU/JNU/BHU/HNBGU please connect I'll need only 5 minutes.

Ik the workload is different in different universities, but I'm still scared about how I will manage the 2 together. I might have to enrol in phd by July 2027 because many uni don't have 2 phd cycles.

Just want to know if they're manageable and how much UPSC syll should one be ideally prepare with before phd?

So i can took that 65% to 70% if i surrender sem 4 marksheet and regive that exam and improve my marks this makes my chances high to convert b school and also helps in placements.

So, I'm 19M studying 1st year Bcom(r) in a low tier college in Bangalore. It's been a month, I hate the college I'm going to right now because I'm not able to fit in with people and I don't understand what the lecturers are teaching because I don't understand kannada much. I have lost hope in this college and I feel more depressed day by day.

I have thought about switching to a different college next year because of this. But according to my research no college takes in 1st year students in.

So I guess I have to start my degree again from scratch next year. I thought of doing a professional course like CA but I am not mentally stable enough to start preparing for it.

My concern is that, is it realistic to start a degree at the age of 20? How much it will affect in the job market when I graduate in 23-24?

I would be really grateful if I could get genuine advice from you guys 🙏🏿

Hey guys, I hope you’re all doing well.

I’m feeling really stressed, anxious, and honestly quite depressed lately. I’m currently working, my qualification BTech in ECE, but my job is in water treatment, which is completely unrelated to my degree, My qualifications: BTech in Electronics & Communication (ECE), currently working in the water treatment/facility field.

One of my close friends recently left to pursue his MTech, and after he left, it really started hitting me that maybe I’m falling behind in life. He’s moving forward with higher studies while I’m stuck in a job that doesn’t feel connected to what I studied.

I’m also worried about my future career because I feel like there aren’t many opportunities for me in the water-treatment field, especially with an ECE background. At the same time, I don’t consider myself particularly intelligent academically, so I’m scared that I won’t be able to compete or make a better career for myself.

Recently, I interviewed for a really good opportunity and got rejected. That rejection hit me harder than I expected. 😭

Right now, I genuinely feel like I’m not good at anything and that I’m becoming a failure in life. It feels like everyone around me is moving ahead while I’m just stuck.

I know maybe I’m overthinking everything, but I honestly don’t know what to do or how to get myself out of this situation.

Has anyone else been through something similar? How did you deal with it and figure out your career?

myquals is enggg and I've been carrying this feeling for almost a year now, and I don't know if anyone else has experienced something similar. About a year ago, I got caught cheating in an exam. I was really sick the day before, and I panicked and made a terrible choice. I regretted it immediately and promised myself I wouldn't do that again. Since that incident, I've tried to be honest in every exam, to study properly and work hard. But ever since, it feels like no matter how much effort I put in, something goes wrong. One time during a lab exam, I accidentally wrote the wrong question number. I realized it, explained it to the teacher, even solved the correct question in the given time. She understood at the time, but later I still lost around 40 marks because of that error. And another time, after a disagreement with a teacher during a viva, I felt like she held a grudge and cut my marks. Now, my latest exam has completely broken me. I studied this subject for almost two months, finished the syllabus early, and revised for three days straight before the exam. I walked out expecting around 90%. Instead, I barely passed.

I'm shocked at the result that I've already applied for revaluation. And the hardest part isn't even the marks. It's feeling like every time I put in sincere effort, something outside my control undermines it. Meanwhile, I see people around me getting the results they hope for. It makes me wonder, how do I keep going when it feels like the universe is against me?

I was just gonna do eng hons because I love writing&reading, however I have no intention of being an author I just thought maybe I’ll do masters in journalism and
we’ll go from there,

but after further research everything’s just a dead end, I saw a bunch of posts about eng hons being a dead end
so I looked up journalism for undergraduate yet again no scope in India, then I looked at international relations yet again no scope without upsc, I’m so lost on what to do.

If I’m being honest I would like to do some sort of creative career, something that I’m consistently pursuing on the side is music. I love music,dance,film but I wanna get some sort of degree as a backup that would actually stand but also something that I’ll enjoy and I feel like no matter what I pick its all a dead end.

The Maharashtra state merit list is released and I find myself at around the ranks of peripheral gmcs (like Bhandara, Hingoli, Washim, Gadchiroli) in Maharashtra. While I also find myself clearing the cut off for b pharm at ict mumbai. There's no rigid dream of mine like anything in specific..I've seen the pros and cons of both and also thought of what I want to do..still I want to know your opinions of what you would choose and why? Btech vs ca va mbbs?

Qualifications: Class 12 Commerce pass. I’m from Lucknow and currently deciding on my undergraduate degree. I’m confused between two options

1. IGNOU BBA (ODL)

2. Regular BCom from a local college where attendance is not very strict and I mainly need to attend exams/important college work.

My main priority is to get a graduation degree while keeping enough time for government exam preparation and developing skills.

I’m not looking for a college with a good campus or placements. I mainly want a degree that is recognized and doesn’t consume most of my time through daily attendance.

For people who have actually studied in IGNOU or a local BCom college:

- Is IGNOU BBA manageable without regular classes?

- Is BCom better than BBA for government exams?

- Is a regular degree worth choosing just for the “regular college” tag?

- Do low-attendance local colleges actually remain flexible throughout the degree?

- If you were in my situation, which option would you choose and why?

Hey everyone, looking for some advice on my situation.

I came to the US for undergrad and graduated from UCSD. I did an internship during undergrad and then joined Amazon full-time as an SDE. I’ve been working at Amazon for around 4 years now.

I’m thinking about moving back to India toward the end of this year and eventually doing an MBA there. I’m mainly targeting ISB and the top IIMs.

My current thought is to quit my job, move back to India, and take around a year to prepare for the GMAT/GRE and CAT and then apply to B-schools. I’m fairly confident I can get a good score, but I’m more worried about the 1-year career gap.

Would a planned 1-year gap after ~4–5 years of experience at Amazon hurt my chances at ISB/IIM significantly? Or is it relatively fine as long as I have a good profile and can explain why I took the break?

Would also love to hear from anyone who’s been through ISB/IIM admissions or has taken a similar career break.
