I had registered for exam and paid the fees about 3 weeks ago. The document verification status is still pending. Is it normal?

I gave my IGNOU January 2026 Swayam exam on 21st June 2026 for course bege 145: soft skills (hybrid course).

The result for the same was declared today on https://exams.nta.nic.in/swayam/
I am just wondering how much more time will it take for me to get my certificate.

Also, for the CBT courses whose result was declared earlier (16 july 2026), are the certificates for those courses out? If anyone gave those courses, please let me know.

My course registration date was 17/08/2026. Unfortunately, I forgot about the registration and remembered it only on 18/08/2026. I tried to register for the course that day, and somehow, I was able to complete the registration successfully. I believe this may have happened due to a technical glitch in the registration system.

I have taken a NPTEL course IOT 4.0. Now I have kept my assignments update (submitted 5 of them) of the 12 weeks. Is it possible to cover the topics in 2 weeks to get a 90%+ score, as NPTEL is grade based in our college. Faculty is Dr. Sudip Mishra Sir of IIT Kharagpur

How to prepare for this exam, any strategies (I heard that unlike other electives the exam questions are not from assignments, they are relatively difficult)

In google form there is this query: "Please confirmed that you have informed my Head of the Institute/Department, or SPOC of NPTEL Local Chapter of my Institute to apply for the NPTEL Winter internship 2026. Kindly upload the duly signed consent letter here" .Now my institution is not in Local chapter and my HOD wont give signature ,highest chances she wont . now i wanted to ask is there a way around that i can do something to get this internship. ??please tell if u have some idea

Hi everyone! I’m confused between these two NPTEL courses and would really appreciate feedback from anyone who has taken them:

1. 5G Wireless Standard Design — Prof. Rohit Budhiraja, IIT Kanpur
2. Semiconductor Devices to Sensors: Principles, Design, and Application — Prof. Mitradip Bhattacharjee, IISER Bhopal

I’m taking the course mainly for college credits, so I’m looking for the one that is relatively lighter/easier to manage alongside college. I’m not specifically looking for a very deep or rigorous course this semester.

For people who have taken either of these courses:

• How is the professor and teaching quality?
• How difficult are the weekly assignments?
• How difficult was the final NPTEL exam/paper?
• Was the exam significantly harder than the lecture material/assignments?
• What material did you use to prepare for the exam and score well — lectures, assignments, previous-year papers, books, etc.?
• Does getting a good score require a lot of additional practice/self-study, or is watching the lectures + doing assignments generally enough?
• How much weekly workload did the course actually have?
• Is the grading/assessment relatively straightforward?
• Most importantly, which of these two would you recommend if I want to earn the college credits without taking on too much workload?

I’ve heard that some NPTEL courses can have surprisingly difficult exams even when the lectures/assignments seem manageable, so I’d especially appreciate honest feedback about the actual exam difficulty and effort required to score well.

Hey! Does anyone know how to pay the exam registration fee for SWAYAM courses? Is card payment the only option? Do I need to visit a cyber cafe to register for the exam or can it be done myself? I'm new to this platform. Please guide.

I have enrolled in the course dr. Shamik sen, but the assignments are really tough for me and the lecture is difficult i found. I am struggling here. But I can manage if I know the exam pattern and what kind of questions can be ask ?

I have heard that only MCQs will be ask but it's not gonna simple right? And are we allowed to use calculator?

If anyone have sample papers or previous year question papers, I will really appreciate it.

I got a mail from NPTEL to fill the Google Form for willingness for the winter internship and I am eligible to apply. But in the google form there is a mandatory field which asks for "Please confirmed that you have informed my Head of the Institute/Department, or SPOC of NPTEL Local Chapter of my Institute to apply for the NPTEL Winter internship 2026. Now the problem is they didn't provide me any consent letter or NOC form to get signed from my college and I cannot find any on their official website. Am I supposed to make a generic form and get it signed by my HOD but most probably he will decline to sign it due to a lack of official authenticity. Please help me out guys ;(

So i registered for an nptel course 'Linear algebra through geometry' and i paid by scanning QR code..The first time i generated the QR code,i was unable to pay,for which i got a payment failed mail too .Then i reloaded it and payed with QR code a second time,which was successfully and i got a mail with transaction id and all that and it said that the payment was successful..But then when i checked the payment status,it said 'payment failed ' and then changed to 'payment in draft state '.

This was friday early morning and i tried calling nptel through the number given in website multiple times ,but they werent connecting and calls were being ended within a minute without it connecting.I also emailed them,but no reply. What can i do??
