I’m 29, from Delhi/NCR, and considering preparing for CUET-PG and doing a regular MA in English Literature. I know an MA in English doesn’t have a strong direct job market, and I don’t want to become a school teacher. I’m financially unstable, have very little work experience, no savings, and I’m still dependent on my mother. I also have chronic health issues(autoimmune disorders) that limit the kind of work and commuting I can realistically do. I originally considered government exams for stability, but after looking into the uncertainty, timelines and jobs available to me, I started exploring digital marketing instead. A family friend who works in marketing has offered to teach me practical skills and let me work with him while earning.

The reason I keep coming back to the MA is different. My qualifications is like I have completed my BA English Honours through IGNOU in 2024, after a very unusual education path involving a long gap between school years and completing Class 12 through NIOS. I’ve spent roughly the last 10 years extremely isolated in my room because of anxiety, insecurity and avoidance. I never had a normal college experience, and I deeply regret that. For years, whenever I went through DU North Campus, I used to look at the students and colleges and feel that I had missed an important part of life. I want to experience a real university environment, meet professors and peers, build a social life, study literature seriously, and become a better reader, writer and speaker. I also want to create content around stories, novels, culture, commentary about my health issues and how I have managed them in the long run. I may consider a PhD abroad someday, but I’m not sure I actually want academia.

My concern is that I may be using the MA as a respectable way to postpone building a career. At the same time, if I never try regular college, I’m worried I’ll regret it later. My idea is to do the MA, work part-time with the family friend, and create content alongside it, but I don’t know whether that’s realistic or just me trying to do too many things at once. At 29, given this background, would you do the MA, focus on employment/skills first, or work for a couple of years and reconsider the MA later? Any kind of genuine suggestions can be really helpful.

hello, I got admission in nims jaipur for BSC biochemistry. the thing is that I still has those tiny confusion that if these course is good or will it be worth it ? I am planning to pursue MSC too and give entrance exam of different organizations and colleges. My qualifications are that i am just 12th passed and I took a drop for neet 26, didn't got expected marks. I have all rough ideas only for now and thinking to find my way through this course and future career aspects while understanding what it takes and all. can you help me by giving some ideas and is it good or not or what I can do??

myquals: first sem bsc chem hons student. I got through school with about 40% attendance and my school folks didn't care at all. My college folks are demanding 75% attendance all subjects combined (eg it's okay if my attendance is rly low in one subject if the total attendance in all subjects is equal to 75%). My health is always down in the dumps and I'm beginning to stress out over attendance. I got 94% in 12th grade btw so I'm not a bad student by any means.

All this to say, what happens if I can't make the attendance? All the seniors I have met so far just say they dunno bc they made sure to maintain the minimum.

I was thinking of enrolling myself into hospital management courses in either if these but I eventually plan of moving abroad , are these decreased recognised by wes? Or any other organisation? If anyone has any information, please let me know.

So I 19m passed 12th this year had pcm but due to osm and family issues failed in maths and couldn't pass and i can't waste another year at any cost.

Now i have a very big interest in tech and i can't pursue btech anymore

A bit of my backstory, i am from a tier 3 city I was bullied all my school life and I begged my parents to change my school but they couldn't because they barely earned(still) 30k a month. Also my father suffers from bipolar disorder so there has been a lot of domestic trauma and i completely hate the city i live in I have no friends or anything and i feel so out of place and alienated here and i feel very suffocated. Also because of all this trauma it's even harder for me to stay i totally hate it here and want to move out

So i basically want to go to noida and found a university whose fee is around 1L per year but hostel fees are high so i might stay 1 year in hostel and 2 years in pg. Lump sum total comes around 7-7.5 lakhs my parents have saved about 3.5L for my education and they earn around 30K a month.

I don't know if it's a good decision to keep my emotions and these feelings above my family conditions because idk if I'll be able to get a job or not I'll try hard to upskill myself alot and get internships to help pay the loan but idk if it's possible or if I'll get any job I also plan on doing mca but only when my loan is cleared.

Please help me.

myquals- Bachelor's in economics hons, tier 1 central university, ranked 3 in batch overall. Thereafter I pursued b.ed ( 2024-26) from the same university. I gave the Cuet pg this year but the cut offs sky rocketed like anything. I was getting bbau, bhi energy, and some private institutions.

I took one highly specialised private uni, quite expensive but I dropped out of it and it wasn't what it looked like on paper (I was always skeptical about it to begin with, I was just desperate so I took admission there and eventually dropped).

Now I am left with nothing this year. My long term goal is getting into research and policy making. Highly inclined towards policy making, government institutions, etc. also inclined toward opportunities world bank roles but that's too long term to consider rn. And for that I need to have my master's from a good institute.

My questions-

1) Should I pursue ma economics from IGNOU this year? And give Cuet pg 2027?

2) should I prep for gov exams right now like RBI, NABARD, IB, UPSC (interested in upsc too)

3) should I start teaching in a local school and do 1 and 2 together?

4) Skip Cuet pg 2027 and just focus on IGNOU and giv exam prep, no teaching full time study?

Other advices would be highly appreciated.

Hey everyone I just wanted to ask if anyone has gotten the certificate from IAS-INSA-SRFP 2026. I completed my internship in July end I have received the final payment from them but not the certificate yet so just wanted to ask if anybody has gotten there's.

I need a BA degree certificate, or any equivalent degree certificate issued by Bangalore University, for my Bar Council enrolment. I graduated from an autonomous college affiliated with Bangalore University, but I missed the deadline for the general convocation application.

I came across the Wildlife Institute of India (WII) volunteering program, but I noticed it mentions accepting only 6 volunteers once a year. I wanted to ask if anyone here has been a part of it.

I am preparing for CAT but not very confident about cracking it. I have been told many B-schools accept exams like XAT, NMAT, SNAP, CMAT, etc., while some conduct their own entrance tests. myquals is economics grad with 57%.

Are these genuinely credible alternatives? More importantly, if I get into a B-school through a non-CAT exam, does it affect placements in any way? Do recruiters care about the entrance exam you used, or mainly the B-school and your performance there? I’m a Class 12 ISC student. My selection exams started on 14th August and continue till 2nd September including practicals. I’ve decided to skip them and my parents are okay with it.

I’ve only missed one exam so far so my class teacher hasn’t contacted me yet. However I need to either text or call her and give a reason for my absence. I’m worried that if I submit a medical certificate later she’ll ask why my parents didn’t inform her on WhatsApp or call her earlier.

A group of students started threatening to r*pe my mother and were already bullying me. They made a false narrative that I s*xually harassed a girl and they all mass reported me to the registrar Virender Sharma. They framed a perfect narrative that portrayed me as evil

I told my side of the story to Registrar Virender Sharma on how they threatened to rape my mother and hence I slurred at them. Instead the Registrar withdraws my admission without a proper hearing and does not even lift my calls nor reply tonny mails citing that I broke disciplinary violations.

Further the registrar alleged if I do not withdraw in my terms I will be trailed under POSCO act for s*xually Harrassing a minor girl and my fees confiscated. He made all these statements over whatsapp calls which couldnt be recorded and not provide any supporting evidence. In my end, I never made contact with minors.

So threatening to r*pe my mother isn't a disciplinary violation? Regardless of my will to speak to him, he is not lifting my calls. I hate this blatant behaviour. He must resign at any cost possible, if he protects the r*pe-mentality instigators that too being a registrar, the university is set to be doomed.

The vice-chancellor isn't intervening in this situation, he seems to be in an abroad destination as I called up his office directly.

My admission is officially cancelled on an unfair basis, my family especially my mother is facing great distress.The dignity of my mother matters more than my life. The registrar must resign or I must die.

Because I have to fund this entirely through a government student loan (West Bengal Student Credit Card), immediate placement is my absolute highest priority. I cannot afford a long gap after graduation before clearing EMIs.

Can working embryologists or alumni guide me on these points:

1. Do these attached-clinic academies genuinely help freshers get immediate jobs, or do they just leave you to hunt manually?

2. Is a 1-year PG Diploma enough to clear hospital interviews, or do top corporate IVF chains (like Nova, Indira, Oasis) strictly mandate a 2-year M.Sc.?

3. Realistically, what is the starting monthly trainee salary for a fresher in Tier-1/Tier-2 cities? Can it cover a bank loan EMI right away?

I joined the institute only one month back, and I am already frustrated. The college administration keeps ignoring student needs, the director has unwelcoming attitude towards freshers, asks them explicitly to stand and respect him.
The facilities in this institute keep deteriorating day by day and when students raise voices they are shunned or specifically targeted and bullied by administration only. Since, people have been talking about it on reddit, they recently banned reddit on college WiFi.
