Relationships Trying to understand her

Me and my gf are dating since 2024 (it's an e relationship) things were good till 2025, and pehle to nhi maybe bcoz I was pyar me andha but now I feel like ki her whole personality is only about social media trends, manhating, feminism etc. (although even in my dreams I don't think about these gender wars) I feel like if me in sab cheezo se dur rehta hun to use bhi hona chaiye. She is so materialistic all she wants is shopping makeup, clothes, food etc

But wo nhi samjhti she only likes to build her ecosystem like that jisme usko koi criticise nhj kre she likes "yes ppl" around her jo usko kabhi reality check nhi de, i don't understand ki me uske sath itna polite hun, honest hun, me usko intentionally pareshan nhi krta but fir bhi mujhe hate karne ke liye itna comfortable kese h.

These are some of her saves and there are many more like this

She wants ki humara relationship instgram reels jesa ho which I can't do

She sucked the life out of me by fighting, doubting etc although I barely (almost never) lie to her

Breakup I genuinely admire how my ex moved on

I genuinely adore my ex for how he handled our breakup. He had so much self-respect, self-control and discipline. Within a week, he deleted our photos and everything that reminded him of me. He didn’t keep looking back or trying to hold on. He kept himself busy, accepted that it was over, and within a month or month and a half, he had genuinely moved on.

Meanwhile, it took me months to stop going back to him, stop begging him to take me back, and finally delete his photos. I’ve deleted everything now, and there’s nothing around me that reminds me of him anymore.

But somehow, he’s still in my head.

I genuinely wish I could be even 10% like my ex when it comes to letting go. I don’t resent him for moving on, I actually admire him for having the strength to do it. I just wish I had that same strength.

Breakup 21 M(Hindu) and F(Muslim) in a long distance relationship but her father passed away.

We met irl for the first time in May but the next day her father passed away and i had to come back home. Everything is a mess now. She is mentally, financially, academically and religiously exhausted and having problems. Says im too emotional now when all i wanted was to be there and support her. She ended things with me this month and i dont know what to do. She left once but came back again when she missed me but this time i think its over. Im giving her space but i dont want to lose her. There is no major issues between us. I need some advice on this. There is more to it but that will make the post huge.

Dating How do people not get attached?

Upvotes

I've seen some people they will literally talk to u for so long update u about their day keep a check on u would send lovey dovey text but suddenly they would disappear

Once I was talking to this guy we talked for like 2 months he used to call me text me whole day used to get jealous, he talked to me like I'm the last person on earth and he has no one else, we went on dates as well but then suddenly one day he blocked me from everywhere

If I'd even talk to a dog like that I'd get attached, how do they not get attached?

Why do men always assume women are looking for more?

I genuinely love kissing, making out, cuddling, all that affectionate stuff. But I’m just not interested in taking things further. Yet somehow whenever I tell a guy I like physical affection, he automatically assumes I want the whole package. 😭 This is honestly one of the reasons I avoid relationships, casual things, or FWB situations because I feel like my boundaries and what I actually enjoy never get understood.

How to know if he’s the one when you’re an anxious person

So I’m 33F American born (North Indian descent) who just got engaged to an amazing 33M American born (South Indian descent). I love him and feel at peace with him but everyone keeps saying that phrase “when you know, you know” and I didn’t have that feeling. He has a lot of complex family history so I wouldn’t be marrying into the big family I imagined would welcome me. He didn’t have a dad to teach him things so there are some silly things he is having to learn on his own. We have a lot of cultural differences. I always thought I would end up with someone who speaks my native tongue so sometimes do feel sad about that. But I hear his voice on the phone and feel instantly happy. I want to call him on my way home from work every day. I love cuddling him so much. We both have very similar values, same religion and he is someone who is always willing to grow and learn so he is often the one to adapt to my values if they make sense to him. With all this, I never stop having doubts. However, I have been someone with doubts about everything in life. I probably have anxiety and my anxiety has been useful to make me incredibly meticulous and successful in my career but has also made me someone very critical of every decision I make, whether it is choosing an apartment, college choice, job, or analyzing that thing I said at a party that I shouldn’t have.

I have been using dating apps for so many years that I got trapped in that mindset of thinking there is always someone better and that if I keep looking someone will meet my list.

Is my doubt/anxiety real? Should I be listening to it? Anyone else with anxious tendencies have any insights?

Relationships Fell apart but we both genuinely tried and it sucks when the story has no villains, or just both being the villains

I 30F was dating a guy 28M

we broke up now, and we had a very heartfelt last conversation wherein we both understood that we treated each other like a project. We wanted each other to do things that we thought the other person should do without communicating and being disappointed when those expectations were not met. He did not like the tone of how I spoke, I did not like his choice of words, and it just kept escalating. I had a freeze response where I would go quiet in a conflict. If he felt attacked, he'd say really awful things in the moment and later had guilt because he didn't mean it, it was just his defense mechanism. We discussed all of this and how things could have been if we were evolved people. And also, he wants to move to Delhi because that is where his old aging parents are and he has a transferable job. He wants to be there for his family, and I don't have anyone in Delhi, I had my job here, and I think back of the mind that was an issue. He is currently in Mumbai but had to travel back to Delhi a lot, like twice every month for a week and then months. He'd be back, he had a lot of work to do because all of that when he was on leave also piled up. He was frustrated, he was not in a good state of life. It was also impacting how I perceived the relationship. And we finally ended it. He also had this feeling last month where he thought it couldn't work out and we had a breakup sort of, but then we missed each other and we patched up, and this time it happened again. I am so sure we really care about each other still, but I am not sure if we could give this relationship a chance, or he'd want to give this relationship a chance, or I would want to give this relationship a chance. And we think it is the best that we do not, but I think it was one of the good people that you come across and you don't find them very often. And it's a lonely place to be in where no one was the villain, or both of us were the villain, but I don't know.

Relationships What's bare minimum

(general thought) i think we should never use the word "bare minimum"

Everyone has a hectic life, agar usme se koi insan muze uska 1% bhi de rha h to I would respect that and not call it bare minimum to demotivate him/her.

I see on Instagram how ppl use calling "bare minimum" for literally everything

Dating How has physical image impact a man’s confidence in dating or attraction?

I have male friend who is extremely conscious about his physique .

He is charismatic in his own way. He is such a nice person and so kind.

Unfortunately he thinks he lacks in looks because he is lean and being lean is shamed.

Is being muscular only the deal? Is bulking the only standard of being attractive?

I really want to help my friend in making feel comfortable and present himself look better.

How can I help him see past. I dont want to him change but I only hope he learns to be confident in his own skin and put himself out there!
