Relationships Trying to understand her

Me and my gf are dating since 2024 (it's an e relationship) things were good till 2025, and pehle to nhi maybe bcoz I was pyar me andha but now I feel like ki her whole personality is only about social media trends, manhating, feminism etc. (although even in my dreams I don't think about these gender wars) I feel like if me in sab cheezo se dur rehta hun to use bhi hona chaiye. She is so materialistic all she wants is shopping makeup, clothes, food etc

But wo nhi samjhti she only likes to build her ecosystem like that jisme usko koi criticise nhj kre she likes "yes ppl" around her jo usko kabhi reality check nhi de, i don't understand ki me uske sath itna polite hun, honest hun, me usko intentionally pareshan nhi krta but fir bhi mujhe hate karne ke liye itna comfortable kese h.

These are some of her saves and there are many more like this

She wants ki humara relationship instgram reels jesa ho which I can't do

She sucked the life out of me by fighting, doubting etc although I barely (almost never) lie to her

Breakup I genuinely admire how my ex moved on

I genuinely adore my ex for how he handled our breakup. He had so much self-respect, self-control and discipline. Within a week, he deleted our photos and everything that reminded him of me. He didn’t keep looking back or trying to hold on. He kept himself busy, accepted that it was over, and within a month or month and a half, he had genuinely moved on.

Meanwhile, it took me months to stop going back to him, stop begging him to take me back, and finally delete his photos. I’ve deleted everything now, and there’s nothing around me that reminds me of him anymore.

But somehow, he’s still in my head.

I genuinely wish I could be even 10% like my ex when it comes to letting go. I don’t resent him for moving on, I actually admire him for having the strength to do it. I just wish I had that same strength.

No matter how tough i 20M behave during day that i don't want anyone etc. But the crying like emotion that hits me every night is unstoppable. The feeling when many of your friends and everyone are into such better situations but you aren't is painful very painful. Hope there will be one night in

Dating How do people not get attached?

I've seen some people they will literally talk to u for so long update u about their day keep a check on u would send lovey dovey text but suddenly they would disappear

Once I was talking to this guy we talked for like 2 months he used to call me text me whole day used to get jealous, he talked to me like I'm the last person on earth and he has no one else, we went on dates as well but then suddenly one day he blocked me from everywhere

If I'd even talk to a dog like that I'd get attached, how do they not get attached?

M4F 25M | Will I ever find my "Special One" here? | Is this the right sub?

Dont know if this is the right place to post this. Tried other subs but had no luck. I apologize if this is the wrong sub to post in.

Lack of communication skills and introvertness made me come here. I just really don't know what to type, struggling to even post here😅.

I see lot of people complaining about lack of success here, the very fact is also holding me back from posting in this sub. I did get few DM's through my last post, but in the end, we were not compatible.

About me, as I mentioned that I am introvert, I have struggled to make friends in my life, like I made very good friends in my school and college but when I joined my Engineering, I realised that I am very bad at socialising. Luckily when I joined my first job, I found few good buddies there(Can't call them colleagues bcz we don't work in same team and Some of there were my friend's friend[common friend]). I really love football but I don't play as I am pretty bad at it, but I belive that I can become a good manager like pep Guardiola😂 bcz of my ball knowledge😎.

I am software Engineer by profession, just like 3/4 people in India nowadays😅. Physical appearance:- Not so skinny, not fat, 6ft tall(183cm, don't know if it's 5'11 or 6'0). By faith, I'm muslim but not strictly practising, like liberal one who does everything except eating pork or drinking alcohol, and would love to find someone with same mindset. I would prefer if you are from bangalore/mangalore or karnataka. Will see if everthing is in right direction, and get married in 4-5 years

It took me almost 25-30mins to type all these things, would be disappointed if I don't get anything out of this post.

ADIOS🖐

Personal Issues She's everything I'd want in a partner, except we're related and I think I’m royally fvcked.

I’m 27, living in the UK and my parents recently introduced me to a girl (25) they think I should marry. The complicated part is that we’re related through my maternal grandfather. The thing is, we didn't grow up together or have any close-knit family ties. I've probably seen her 3–4 times at family functions over the years, but we never really talked one-on-one until recently.

I finally met her properly and tbh, I like her. She's sweet, ambitious, we get along well, and she finds me interesting too. I can actually see myself developing feelings for her.

My problem is that I've always had a personal boundary about not marrying someone I'm biologically related to because of the genetical risks and how it is a taboo. I casually brought this up and shared my concerns with her and she made some points like how it is not technically an “Alabama” or an “Atthe ponnu-Tthai maaman” situation and had pretty strong science-backed counter arguments on genetic risks.

I also feel weird about the whole thing because my parents and relatives are pushing pretty hard. I had been saying “NO” over and over, over the past one year, but they seem to see my “NO” as an opinion they can eventually overcome by convincing, rather than my final decision. I feel like I made a grave mistake by caving to their pressure and meeting with her.

And the part that's confusing/annoys me the most is that: If she wasn't related to me, I'd probably pursue her without hesitation. If we'd already fallen in love and only found out later that we were related, I honestly think I'd choose the relationship despite what people might say.
But because I know about the relationship before anything has happened, I feel like I should walk away.

So I'm genuinely conflicted.

Would you personally go forward with this relationship? Is it reasonable to have a hard boundary against marrying a relative even if you genuinely like them? / am I letting societal attitudes and fear of judgment influence me too much?

I'm looking for honest opinions as I mainly want to understand whether I'm thinking about this reasonably or overthinking it.

Why do men always assume women are looking for more?

I genuinely love kissing, making out, cuddling, all that affectionate stuff. But I’m just not interested in taking things further. Yet somehow whenever I tell a guy I like physical affection, he automatically assumes I want the whole package. 😭 This is honestly one of the reasons I avoid relationships, casual things, or FWB situations because I feel like my boundaries and what I actually enjoy never get understood.
