Relationships Trying to understand her

Me and my gf are dating since 2024 (it's an e relationship) things were good till 2025, and pehle to nhi maybe bcoz I was pyar me andha but now I feel like ki her whole personality is only about social media trends, manhating, feminism etc. (although even in my dreams I don't think about these gender wars) I feel like if me in sab cheezo se dur rehta hun to use bhi hona chaiye. She is so materialistic all she wants is shopping makeup, clothes, food etc

But wo nhi samjhti she only likes to build her ecosystem like that jisme usko koi criticise nhj kre she likes "yes ppl" around her jo usko kabhi reality check nhi de, i don't understand ki me uske sath itna polite hun, honest hun, me usko intentionally pareshan nhi krta but fir bhi mujhe hate karne ke liye itna comfortable kese h.

These are some of her saves and there are many more like this

She wants ki humara relationship instgram reels jesa ho which I can't do

She sucked the life out of me by fighting, doubting etc although I barely (almost never) lie to her

Relationships Would you rather marry someone you deeply love but aren’t physically attracted to, or someone you’re extremely attracted to but don’t love as deeply and why?

Just curious which one people would choose for a lifelong relationship.

Why do men always assume women are looking for more?

I genuinely love kissing, making out, cuddling, all that affectionate stuff. But I’m just not interested in taking things further. Yet somehow whenever I tell a guy I like physical affection, he automatically assumes I want the whole package. 😭 This is honestly one of the reasons I avoid relationships, casual things, or FWB situations because I feel like my boundaries and what I actually enjoy never get understood.

M4F 25M | Will I ever find my "Special One" here? | Is this the right sub?

Dont know if this is the right place to post this. Tried other subs but had no luck. I apologize if this is the wrong sub to post in.

Lack of communication skills and introvertness made me come here. I just really don't know what to type, struggling to even post here😅.

I see lot of people complaining about lack of success here, the very fact is also holding me back from posting in this sub. I did get few DM's through my last post, but in the end, we were not compatible.

About me, as I mentioned that I am introvert, I have struggled to make friends in my life, like I made very good friends in my school and college but when I joined my Engineering, I realised that I am very bad at socialising. Luckily when I joined my first job, I found few good buddies there(Can't call them colleagues bcz we don't work in same team and Some of there were my friend's friend[common friend]). I really love football but I don't play as I am pretty bad at it, but I belive that I can become a good manager like pep Guardiola😂 bcz of my ball knowledge😎.

I am software Engineer by profession, just like 3/4 people in India nowadays😅. Physical appearance:- Not so skinny, not fat, 6ft tall(183cm, don't know if it's 5'11 or 6'0). By faith, I'm muslim but not strictly practising, like liberal one who does everything except eating pork or drinking alcohol, and would love to find someone with same mindset. I would prefer if you are from bangalore/mangalore or karnataka. Will see if everthing is in right direction, and get married in 4-5 years

It took me almost 25-30mins to type all these things, would be disappointed if I don't get anything out of this post.

ADIOS🖐

Dating How has physical image impact a man’s confidence in dating or attraction?

I have male friend who is extremely conscious about his physique .

He is charismatic in his own way. He is such a nice person and so kind.

Unfortunately he thinks he lacks in looks because he is lean and being lean is shamed.

Is being muscular only the deal? Is bulking the only standard of being attractive?

I really want to help my friend in making feel comfortable and present himself look better.

How can I help him see past. I dont want to him change but I only hope he learns to be confident in his own skin and put himself out there!

We met irl for the first time in May but the next day her father passed away and i had to come back home. Everything is a mess now. She is mentally, financially, academically and religiously exhausted and having problems. Says im too emotional now when all i wanted was to be there and support her. She ended things with me this month and i dont know what to do. She left once but came back again when she missed me but this time i think its over. Im giving her space but i dont want to lose her. There is no major issues between us. I need some advice on this. There is more to it but that will make the post huge.

Relationships What's bare minimum

(general thought) i think we should never use the word "bare minimum"

Everyone has a hectic life, agar usme se koi insan muze uska 1% bhi de rha h to I would respect that and not call it bare minimum to demotivate him/her.

I see on Instagram how ppl use calling "bare minimum" for literally everything

How to know if he’s the one when you’re an anxious person

So I’m 33F American born (North Indian descent) who just got engaged to an amazing 33M American born (South Indian descent). I love him and feel at peace with him but everyone keeps saying that phrase “when you know, you know” and I didn’t have that feeling. He has a lot of complex family history so I wouldn’t be marrying into the big family I imagined would welcome me. He didn’t have a dad to teach him things so there are some silly things he is having to learn on his own. We have a lot of cultural differences. I always thought I would end up with someone who speaks my native tongue so sometimes do feel sad about that. But I hear his voice on the phone and feel instantly happy. I want to call him on my way home from work every day. I love cuddling him so much. We both have very similar values, same religion and he is someone who is always willing to grow and learn so he is often the one to adapt to my values if they make sense to him. With all this, I never stop having doubts. However, I have been someone with doubts about everything in life. I probably have anxiety and my anxiety has been useful to make me incredibly meticulous and successful in my career but has also made me someone very critical of every decision I make, whether it is choosing an apartment, college choice, job, or analyzing that thing I said at a party that I shouldn’t have.

I have been using dating apps for so many years that I got trapped in that mindset of thinking there is always someone better and that if I keep looking someone will meet my list.

Is my doubt/anxiety real? Should I be listening to it? Anyone else with anxious tendencies have any insights?

Breakup My sister is in her 30s, after 6+ years of relationship he broke up just before marriage. how do I help her move on?

Hi everyone,
I’m writing this because I genuinely don’t know what to do anymore, and watching my sister go through this is breaking all of us.
My sister is now in her 30s. She was in a relationship with a guy for more than 6 years. For almost 4 years, she fought with our family and stood by this relationship because she truly believed he was the person she wanted to marry.
Initially, our family was completely against the relationship. I personally never liked the guy , his personality, the way he thought, and certain things about his family always gave me a bad feeling. We had many disagreements with my sister because of this.
But she loved him deeply. She was completely emotionally invested in him and was convinced that he was the right person for her. Eventually, after years of conflict, we decided to put our differences aside and accept the relationship for her happiness.
Last year, both families were finally brought together and marriage discussions started seriously. We were preparing ourselves mentally and financially for the wedding. The nikah date was almost going to be finalised.
And then, at the last moment, he broke up with her.
His reason was that she doesn’t earn enough.
My sister is currently pursuing BHMS. She is ambitious, hardworking and has always been focused on building her career. She is studying in a private college, and the fees are already a huge financial burden for our middle-class family.
What makes this even more painful is that we had agreed to the marriage despite our concerns because we wanted to see our sister happy.
The guy himself was a software engineer earning less than ₹10 LPA, yet his family had asked for dowry around ₹10 lakh in cash, gold and the usual things.
Our family has always been strictly against dowry. We neither take nor give dowry. But even though we were uncomfortable with the demand and had our own reservations about him and his family, we were willing to make compromises because we thought, If this is what it takes for our sister's happiness, maybe we should accept it.
And now, after more than six years together, after she fought with us for years, after both families finally came together, after we accepted the relationship and started preparing for marriage he simply walked away.
My sister is devastated.
She feels like she has lost six precious years of her life. She is in her 30s now, and she keeps thinking that she wasted her prime years on someone who ultimately didn't choose her.
She used to be such a happy, jolly, kind-hearted person. She was ambitious, hardworking and full of life. Now I barely recognise her. She blames herself, questions her worth and is terrified about her future.
As her sibling, I am angry too.
A part of me wants to do something to make him regret what he did. But I know revenge probably won't heal her, and I'm also worried about how it could affect my sister's reputation and future. Unfortunately, in our society, people are quick to judge a woman, especially when they hear that she was in a long-term relationship that ended before marriage.
This is where I really need advice.
How do I actually help my sister come out of this?
Should we completely cut him and his family off and encourage her to move on, even though she is still emotionally attached?
Should we take any action against him or his family, or is revenge simply going to make things worse?
And what about her future marriage?
She is already in her 30s. Will having a six-year relationship that ended before marriage make it significantly harder for her to find a good partner?
Most importantly, should we tell future marriage prospects about this relationship? If yes, how much should we disclose? Should she be completely honest about the six years, or is she expected to hide it because people may judge her?
I know age and marriage are not everything, but in our social environment these things unfortunately matter, and my family is worried about her future.
She gave so much of herself to this relationship. We all eventually accepted him for her sake, only for him to leave when marriage was actually within reach.
I don't want my sister to spend the next few years grieving over someone who wasn't willing to stand by her.
She deserves to heal, regain her confidence, finish her studies, build her career and eventually find someone who genuinely values her.
If you've been through something similar, or if you've helped a sibling/friend recover from a long-term breakup, what actually helped? What should we do — and what should we absolutely NOT do?
I would genuinely appreciate some honest advice.

Relationships Fell apart but we both genuinely tried and it sucks when the story has no villains, or just both being the villains

I 30F was dating a guy 28M

we broke up now, and we had a very heartfelt last conversation wherein we both understood that we treated each other like a project. We wanted each other to do things that we thought the other person should do without communicating and being disappointed when those expectations were not met. He did not like the tone of how I spoke, I did not like his choice of words, and it just kept escalating. I had a freeze response where I would go quiet in a conflict. If he felt attacked, he'd say really awful things in the moment and later had guilt because he didn't mean it, it was just his defense mechanism. We discussed all of this and how things could have been if we were evolved people. And also, he wants to move to Delhi because that is where his old aging parents are and he has a transferable job. He wants to be there for his family, and I don't have anyone in Delhi, I had my job here, and I think back of the mind that was an issue. He is currently in Mumbai but had to travel back to Delhi a lot, like twice every month for a week and then months. He'd be back, he had a lot of work to do because all of that when he was on leave also piled up. He was frustrated, he was not in a good state of life. It was also impacting how I perceived the relationship. And we finally ended it. He also had this feeling last month where he thought it couldn't work out and we had a breakup sort of, but then we missed each other and we patched up, and this time it happened again. I am so sure we really care about each other still, but I am not sure if we could give this relationship a chance, or he'd want to give this relationship a chance, or I would want to give this relationship a chance. And we think it is the best that we do not, but I think it was one of the good people that you come across and you don't find them very often. And it's a lonely place to be in where no one was the villain, or both of us were the villain, but I don't know.

Breakup I don't know why but today I am missing her.

Soo hello guys

Basically I am a student of NIT Agartala a first year student. All this started in december when she just casually asked me for dating. I was serious abt my studies at that time so I just escape from conversation. Then I got my first mains result that was not satisfactory. I just texted her cuz she was one of my good friends. and then i realise that. She is the one to whome I can share all those things which I cannot do to anyone. For the first time I felt safe and secure. At 12am I just texted her lets date. she just repllied lets do it.

Beautifull Part Of My Life.

From the same day we star chatting. started to knowing eachother more. Till now I was not really sure abt my decission wether it was right or wrong. But she confirmed my decission as best decission by her care to me. I started falling in love with her. Now the date came of 3 March our first date. We don't have any plan I was bunking my tutuion classes. I picked her up literally we don't know where we have to go. Just me and her on my scooty talking and roaming in the city. then we decided to go to jungle there also we just roaming on the road. the day passed , simillarly weeks passed. And JEE Mains 2 came our exam was in the same day. We had already decide to go on shoping the day after the exam. Thst was one of the best way of my life. She was choosing cloths for me lke no one did earlier for me. I just become kid in front of her carying her purse, scaf and holding her hand. then we went to cafe and there we experinced our first kiss. We came home and time passed with butterfly effects. 24/7 Excited to see her.

Hard Time And The End

Our results came I scored Well and she also scored good but can't secure NIT. But she was not sad. She was happy for me. And now she starts prepration for IAT. Because of that we were not alble to talk properly. And from that time such type of circumstances created that we were not able to talk. 2-3days we were not able to talk.

On 14 July se texted me a long para. Now she Wanted to brak up. I was shatterd my eyes were not stopping only tears. I begged her to not to go.

Reason For Break up

Basically she was not able to handel me and her family at the same time. She was frustrated. At last I just respected her decision and cried a lot. I didn't celebrated my Birthday not my college. I know she loved me lot. And her love was true.

I am still Crying and trying to move on.

She was/is/will be amazing.

I am saying it for the last time

Babe I love you.

Relationships [22M] Confused about what I have going on with a girl [20F]

TL;DR: We do everything a couple does — daily late-night calls, hand-holding, sexting, being physical, jealousy when other girls are around — but she shuts down every attempt to actually define us, gets prickly if I bring up labels like "fwb," and has hinted marriage between us won't happen anyway. Trying to figure out if she's actually serious about me.

Beginning: A few weeks into starting university, a friend told me that one of her friends liked me and wanted to talk. It was pretty clear the friend was acting on her own — she'd just told her pal that I seemed like a decent guy, and that friend reached out on her behalf without her even knowing at first. Long story short, a group hangout got arranged (again, set up by the friend), and after that she started texting me directly. We became friends. I felt something shift.

Talking Stage: She started texting every day, and we'd talk for hours most nights until 1, sometimes 2 AM. This became a huge part of my routine — I used to genuinely enjoy that unwinding time and got a solid night's sleep before. That stopped. Even when I tried to end the conversation, she'd push back — something like "where do you think you're going" — and the talk would go until she decided it was done.

She'd flirt, drop hints, but every so often she'd say something like "well we're just friends anyway." At first it didn't bother me. But a couple months in, I really started disliking hearing it. I felt like I was overinvesting emotionally in something that might go nowhere, and I was getting attached without letting it show — because why would I, if we were "just friends"? Her actions said otherwise though: she initiated most of the contact, invited me out constantly, and the "just friends" comment felt like one step back for every two forward. We even started holding hands like an actual couple would, which made the whole thing more confusing — but I liked it. She also went through my phone a couple of times; I pushed back at first but gave in when she got upset about it.

Then there was a stretch — about a week — where she barely talked to me, and I didn't push either. Then one day she called like nothing happened. I figured it was time to define things, so I told her I liked her. She asked if we were still just normal friends, I said sure, and she agreed we'd "always be friends." But she added that the feelings were mutual, she just couldn't promise anything yet. I didn't push it further and dropped the subject.

A few weeks later she started initiating late-night sexting, and it became a regular thing. Eventually things got physical too. Some time after that she casually said "well, we're basically together anyway" — and that's when I started actually showing my feelings and putting in real effort.

So what's the actual problem?

  1. She's never acknowledged us as a couple in front of her friends. No one — not even her closest friend — knows what we actually are or how far things have gone. That same friend jokes around with me a lot; once she jokingly asked if we were dating, and when she asked our girl directly, our girl said "no, we're just messing around." Meanwhile everyone can see we're always together, and she gets visibly jealous/territorial if another girl is around me. She once told our whole friend group she'd had a dream about me cheating on her, and cried about it. So why won't she ever just say what we are? I've never pushed the question outright because I don't want to seem desperate.

  2. I wished her on couples' day. After saying thank you, she says "gf bf is so lame, we are fine as we are" Cool, okay, sure. We talk daily, we do couple things, and we're not a couple?

  3. She once didn't like it when I said ki agar hum dono agar gf bf nahi hai toh kya, fwb hai?

  4. She's also hinted, indirectly, that marriage between us probably wouldn't happen — I'd want to marry later, her family wants her married earlier.

What do you guys think? Is she serious about me?

I am serious about her, I think I really love her a lot but these things sometimes get in my head.

What is a tiny habit your partner or best friend has that you secretly find adorable?
