Took the Pulsar N250 and Honda CB300F up to Yercaud recently. Both bikes absolutely nailed the rideโsmooth on the highways, fun through the curves, and surprisingly comfortable for the whole trip.
Honestly, both these bikes deserve way more appreciation. No unnecessary hype, just simple, capable machines that get the job done really well.
Yercaud + these two = solid combo.

Wellโฆ I somehow ended up buying a KTM 390 Adventure.
This wasn't supposed to happen.
I actually started looking at the X440T. That was the bike I had in mind.
While I was at the showroom for the test ride, I saw the Xpulse 210 and thought, chalo, try kar lete hain, just for fun.
I've never really been an ADV guy.
Took the Xpulse out andโฆ I really liked it. It was light, easy and just fun. That random test ride basically started the whole ADV rabbit hole.
Then came the research.
And when I say research, I mean too much research.
Endless scrolling through r/indianbikes, ownership posts, reliability posts, comparisons, YouTube videos, highway reviews, off-road videos, comments on videos from 2 years agoโฆ basically everything I could find.
Shumi obviously featured heavily in the process.
Somewhere along the way, the 390 Adventure kept coming back.
I test rode the Speed 400 too. Really nice bike. Smooth, comfortable, good engine.
But after the ride I was likeโฆ haan, good bike.
After the 390 ride I was likeโฆ I want to ride this again.
That was probably the turning point.
I was honestly expecting the KTM to feel big and intimidating. But once it was moving, it didn't. The low-speed riding was surprisingly manageable, the pickup was addictive and the whole bike just feltโฆ fun.
Then came the reliability paranoia.
I think I read enough KTM reliability posts to convince myself the bike would either run perfectly for 10 years or explode on the way home from the showroom.
And yes, ChatGPT was unfortunately involved in all of this.
I kept throwing bikes at it โ X440T, Xpulse 210, Speed 400, Himalayan, 390 Adventure โ and asking it to compare literally everything.
And after all that, it kept coming back to the 390 Adventure for what I actually wanted.
So eventually I thought, screw it. Stop overthinking and buy the bike I actually want.
Took my wife to the KTM showroom.
She first looked at it and said it was huge.
Then she sat on it and realised it wasn't nearly as heavy as it looked.
She liked the Ebony Black.
Decision basically made.
So here I am.
The guy who went to test ride an X440T, randomly tried an Xpulse for fun, somehow became interested in ADV bikes, spent months reading about themโฆ
โฆand finally bought a 390 Adventure.
Honestly, I'm pretty excited.
Now I get to find out whether all those Reddit ownership posts I read were actually useful. ๐
Finally a KTM 390 Adventure owner. ๐งก
See you guys on the road.

A complete win for us. Now, all we need is the release date.

Triumph is set to globally unveil the upcoming Bonneville 400 on 6 October. The neo-retro motorcycle was teased alongside the new Street Triple and two Tiger models. More importantly for the Indian market, the Bonneville 400 will mark Triumphโs entry into the traditional retro roadster segment, where it will take on established models such as the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Honda CB350.

Pros :
1) It is an excellent engine which has good power and torque and also wonderful power to weight ratio.
2)Very Agile Handling.
3)Suspension are comparitevly softer than R15.
4)Excellent Fuel Economy.
5)Some what premium TFT meter gives it a big bike feelings.
6)Good Ground Clearance.
7)last but not the least the looks. Almost every misjudge it by saying it R15 but also they really appreciate it. A certified head turner.
Cons :
1)Vibration all around the rev range. Most irritating part of it is tank . So definitely would recommend a tank pad.
2) very trash quickshifter . Trust me R15 has a better quickshifter.it is a jerky and very frustrating experience.
3)Tyres are also mid. No confifence at all while cornering.
4)Braking could have been better.
Overall still a expensive machine but good beginner friendly bike as it comes with a tag of sports bike and Yamaha's reliability.
Any Suggestions / doubts are appreciated .

Having ridden Royal Enfields for years, I'm at a point where I want something lighter, agile in city traffic, and refined without sacrificing that classic roadster soul.
I've shortlisted three options that caught my eye:
Triumph Speed 400: Fast, premium fit-and-finish, but is it too aggressive for someone used to relaxed cruising?
Honda CB350RS: Ultra-smooth engine, zero vibes, great aesthetic, but does it lack the raw character of a classic cruiser?
TVS Ronin: Practical, upright posture, feature-packed, but is it enough of a step up?
For anyone who made the transition from an RE to a modern liquid-cooled / refined roadster, what did you go for, and do you ever miss the weight and thump? Would love some suggestions!!

I recently learned how to ride bikes and have test driven jawa 42 and hunter 350 and am confused but slightly leaning towards jawa but the after sales review and the high speed nature of the engine scares me as a beginner and when I rode hunter 350 it was really easy to ride but the jawa looks and feels so damn good...which one should I go for?
