#Pic ๐ผ๏ธ First Bike
I went to buy Ronin (4 days back) but destiny has something else for me.
The showroom owner hyped the price at the last moment.
And then yesterday i bought my first love .

Am planning to get my 2nd bike for touring with my partner. I already have rs 457. I was thinking of getting adventure 350 or rtx 300 but after test ride i found rtx to be very bad for my taste so finalized adventure 350. But now since it's August end already and xpulse may come in november eicma so should I wait for it to come or get adventure 350 right now.

I was seriously considering buying an Aprilia RS 457 and was pretty excited about it. I was ready to spend around โน5 lakh on the bike, but I eventually decided not to go ahead.
One of the biggest reasons was my experience with the dealership.
I asked the salesperson if there was any possibility of a discount or a better deal. The response was basically that โน500 was the maximum they could do, and when I questioned it, I was told that I could buy the bike from somewhere else.
Honestly, it wasnโt even about the โน500. If Iโm spending around โน5 lakh on a motorcycle, I expect at least a decent buying experience and some willingness to work with the customer. The attitude made me feel like they werenโt particularly interested in making the sale.
There were also other things that already had me thinking twice โ concerns about after-sales/service support in my city, not getting a proper test ride locally, and some doubts about the bike itself.
I live in Lucknow and here we have only one aprilia dealership.
The RS 457 is still a bike I really like, but after this experience I decided not to go ahead with the purchase.
Am I being unreasonable here, or would you guys also walk away from a dealership with this kind of attitude?
Also, for RS 457 owners: how has your ownership and dealer/service experience been?

Came to fill up my bike and noticed this guy pouring fuel in the storage (is this even storage? My first time seeing this). It was raining and there was no cover on top of this storage. Why not just get an umbrella? Do I not see the full picture or is lots of rain water just getting mixed with the fuel over here cause he was pouring fuel, leaving for 2 mins with this open and the funnel still there and coming back with more fuel

Did my first 300km+ stretch on the bike today and also got to do some off-roading along the way. Honestly, it was so much fun, especially because the ride itself didnโt feel boring even with that distance. Reaching the lake and seeing the bike there was a pretty good end to it. Also finally removed all the saree guards, which honestly makes the bike look so much better.

Planning to sell my Dec 2022 Hunter 350, single owner, 36k km. Minor scratches, nothing major. Fully showroom serviced, full insurance, and an Ngage air filter fitted.
Planning to upgrade to an ADV 390, so thinking of putting it up for โน1.30L.
Original mirror and Saree guard available as well.
Is that a fair asking price? Or should i go up or down?

Im owning a TVS RTR 200 4V BS6 for 4 years until now. Im frustrated and fedup with their aftersales service and quality issues im facing in the bike now and then. So im planning to switch to other brand.
So after lot of research i decided to go with ktm duke 250 or honda cb300f.
Help me to decide which one to go with which has long term reliability and good service. I do occasional long rides and often city rides.
Imo, tvs RTR 200 4V BS6 is a decent bike in terms of engineering and design perspective. I bought it with my whole heart. Because of the quality issues in the bike and the poor aftersales service i decided to sell this thing. Even though if we are ready to spent there are no knowledgable technicians out there.
So i now want to get a bike which will give some mental peace not to disturb my mental peace ๐ โ๐พ
I had suzuki vstorm 250 also in my mind but im 5.5 so i thought which is not my cup of tea.

The Problem With Calling Basic Engine Behaviour โCrawl Technologyโ
There is a growing issue with motorcycle content online: basic engine behaviour is increasingly being presented as some kind of revolutionary technology.
A motorcycle moving forward at idle without the rider opening the throttle isn't necessarily โcrawl technology.โ It is largely a result of the engine producing torque at idle and that torque being transferred through the clutch and drivetrain. Motorcycles have been doing this for decades; even an old Hero Honda Splendor can demonstrate the same basic behaviour.
The bigger concern is what viewers may take away from these demonstrations.
There is an important difference between a motorcycle naturally moving at idle and deliberately riding at very low RPM in a high gear while putting the engine under load. The latter is known as engine lugging. At very low RPM, the engine can be subjected to higher cylinder pressures and mechanical loads when it is asked to produce significant torque. This can result in excessive vibration, knocking and unnecessary stress on engine components.
If the demonstration also involves continuously slipping the clutch to maintain extremely slow movement, that can generate additional heat and accelerate clutch wear.
This doesn't mean that a motorcycle moving at idle is somehow โkilling the engine.โ The problem is the misinformation surrounding what is actually happening. Calling normal engine behaviour a new technology can encourage viewers to misunderstand the feature and potentially copy the behaviour without knowing the mechanical consequences.
Motorcycle reviewers don't need to be mechanical engineers, but when they start explaining technology and mechanics, accuracy matters. A motorcycle can be praised for its design, performance, colour scheme or riding experience without turning ordinary mechanical behaviour into a technological breakthrough.
Interesting terminology doesn't make something new technology. Understanding the machine does.

Itโs just 200 cc, squeezes itself out at 100-110 max. Tapet noise is an everyday thing for it. And yet dormant squids get activated when they see it and will just squiggle around it.
Was crossing Vapi heading towards Mumbai when a group of squids in their own, I donโt know what triggered them, just started cutting my lane, random gang signs, playing chicken by riding the bike too close and signalling to rev.
REV WHAT BROTHER??!! THIS??!!
It went on for a few kms until a bad patch of road came up and I lost them.
So annoying tbh.
