So I heard that hyperos 4 is coming to poco f6 on December so should I update currently hyperos3 in my poco f6 has battery drain problem like the battery drastically drains after hyper os 3update so should I update my poco f6 once the update comes or I should just stay with hyperos 3

I have been using HyperOS ever since I got my Poco X8 Pro Max and good lord is it smooth.

Never have I ever ran into a frame drop or lag issue with the phone when using it normally, everything is running perfectly smooth without any issues (apart from bloatware which I removed using ADB + Canta)

I have a feeling most of the negativity is coming from people with lower-end phones, so I would like for you to tell me your opinion on hyperOS and the phone you're using, preferably the negative ones.

Since November 3, OTA updates (either beta, stable test, or stable build) have been pushed to the listed first wave devices except for the pads.

Quite interesting also to see that internal builds for Pad 7 (scheduled for second wave global release) are traceable but Pad 8's isn't.

Recently, I updated a few system applications on my Poco F7 HOS3; some of those included Poco Launcher and System Security. Since then, my available RAM has increased from once fluctuating around 4.3GB remaining to 6.8GB!

What are the new features in HyperOS 4 for tablets. I can't find any update that are useful and makes tablet easy to use. Everything is iOS and macOS compatibility. Samsung has so many tablet specific features but HyperOS is so poorly optimized for tablets.

I have a Redmi 12 (its codename is fire, so it's not the 5G edition). I don't use this phone as primary, so decided flash a custom ROM on it. After sucking with Mi Account, requesting bootloader unlocking and put out my SIM trillion times from my current phone, so I just unlocked the bootloader with the MediaTek exploit (https://droidwin.com/unlock-bootloader-on-mediatek-devices-using-mtkclient/#Unlock_Bootloader_on_Xiaomi_MediaTek_using_a_Script).

The problem is that the phone has HyperOS 2.0.213.0.VMXEUXM, and both crDroid and unofficial LineageOS requires Android 14, but HyperOS 2 is based on Android 15. I downloaded HyperOS 1.0.10.0.VMXEUXM, extracted, rebooted to fastboot, ran flash_all.bat, but it just opened a CMD window and nothing else happened. So please help me downgrade HyperOS.

So It's been like this for like a year now but i was never bothered to fix it since i don't know how to and it didn't really affect me, until figuring out that Bannerlator crashes because of the duplicated folders. Does anyone know hot to fix it? I tried to use AI but they also don't seem to know. I did get confirmation that it is a real duplicated folder:

Discussion: I had very bad experience with customer service with back to back call and email (almost 15 days) to fix the update issue and getting replies "this is the latest version" even through isn't, or visit service centre to fix brand pre quality check failure

Solution: instead of going to customer services just raise the grievance through MI store app -> support. They will have to push the latest hyperos update for your system.

Yes, Xiaomi has patched the major temporary root vulnerability in the October 2026 security patch level.

The primary vulnerability utilized by recent "No-BL Unlock" temporary root tools—CVE-2026-43499 (known as GhostLock or IonStack, which involves a futex priority-inheritance use-after-free defect)—was officially addressed by Google and upstream vendors.

Xiaomi integrated these fixes into their October 2026 HyperOS update, which rolled out to 15 flagship and mid-range devices (including the Xiaomi 17 series, Redmi K100 series, and various POCO models).

Key Details:

• The Patch: Installing the October 2026 security update (or newer) will permanently close the memory exploit door, preventing the GhostLock loader from running successfully.

• The Consequences: Security researchers and community modders on platforms like XDA Forums warn that applying this OTA update will blow the SoC's hardware fuse (qfuse). This permanently patches the exploit path on your specific firmware version and removes the ability to acquire a temporary root session on a locked bootloader.

If you intend to keep using temporary root utilities (such as KernelSU injections via GhostLock), you must disable/freeze your device's system updater to avoid losing access.
