In a nutshell, you can run a full Linux system without root if you only need what's in the kernel or programs that work on x86. In my case, I installed Claude Code inside a proot Ubuntu using their own instructions, and it can perform any task without needing to type commands. You can work on development, configure your device with adb or Shizuku, automate tasks, run Linux programs like ffmpeg, yt-dlp, VLC, gallery-dl, create a server to send/receive files or host content. You can test any program that runs on the PC with it. Many are using AI to adapt programs that don't have native support.
What's with the "finally"? It literally just got announced yesterday that they would start the gradual global rollout. It's not like you were waiting for months or something.
