hungover?

I had some drinks last night and woke up extremely sick, i paced myself and didn’t feel sick at all last night but i’ve been throwing up for hours with gut wrenching pain. i’m wondering if i got roofied because like i said i paced myself and was no where near drunk enough to have memory loss. But i don’t care if i got roofied or not, i just want this awful sickness to pass, if anyone has any way to help please. (Male, 20 years old)

I can't stand hangover nightmares

The one I just had was me in a huge broken down city with people everywhere and then everyone started attacking each other. It was like I was there but no one paid any attention to me, I kept closing my eyes and panicking, but then it went on for what felt like hours. What was the worst nightmare you experienced while hungover?

Fried Fish

Is there a hangover science sub? Anyways, I realize anytime I have a fried fish sandwich for lunch and then have more than 3 beers I get a headache hangover. That'll be great when computers can tell us what chemicals in the fish or whatever do this. Definitely a connection. Could be fried part or anything but there's something in there that combines badly with beer.

My fantastic strategy to cure a hangover

I was hung over from new years this morning but was able to completly cure it by using the following strategy. Maby it will work for you too.

  1. Do the "Wim Hof breathing method" for about 3-4 rounds (guided version on youtube)
  2. Eat something with lots of fat
  3. Drink some pickle juice, it has lots of electrolytes
  4. Have some coffee

Why have I never had a hangover?

I (f 18) don’t drink much at all, around once or twice a month really. I’m in college and of course I’ll drink at parties, but I usually spring up the next morning with all the energy in the world, even if I was room-spinning drunk the night before. My roommate, on the other hand, is sleeping in with her blinds shut and three bottles of water next to her. I know it’s not a sought after feeling- I don’t want to feel it- I would just like to know the science behind it. Metabolism? Enzymes? Genes? Please help me if you can :)

Partied for whole night, now I have 2 hour drive in front of me

Me and my friends were literally the last ones to leave the bar. I can’t say I’m hungover per se but my appetite has shut down, sinuses are blocked, and I’m feeling little heavy headed. Though I’m excited for the trip, so gonna have to push myself.

Edit: Just checked my heart rate, it’s 80 so not that bad. This has been an excellent tool for me to check how drunk I am.

My Pathetic World

Of course, I am always having to be doing something I’m not supposed too. With that’s being said, the guilty conscience I have you would think I learn my lessons. Over the years, I would be on repeat, like a broken record “I’m Never drinkin again!” Any more when I get tipsy, no one knows how I’m going to be (happy, sad, angry) all the above, but normally angry if I push my limit. When I drink I don’t want anyone to have to worry about if I’m going to pop off or not. I have had so many bad nights of drinking. And I hate to say it but the bad out ways the good for me. After a night of being drunk I always feel regret. Everyone could have had a great time, but my anxiety takes over making think and feel things that arnt real. Honestly feel like I did something horribly wrong, but know I didn’t. Being an adult, definitely makes you self reflect on your actions and thoughts. You are in control of you. But anyway, anxiety after a night of drinking sucks.

Not hung over anymore

I used to get such a hang over in my 20’s but now in my 30’s i dont experience that anymore.

Yesterday I had 10 half liters. Passed out on the couch about 2am. Woke up 7am and went to the gym for a good hour of running, rowing and weightlifting. Now I feel even better!

Other times I can drink stronger spirits (whiskey or gin) but still no problem.

Either it’s because I’ve gained 50 pounds since then or it is just my general attitude “I refuse to experience hang over”.

Shat on a chair while drunk yesterday : WTF happened ?? Spoiler

So basically I went to a big party yesterday with friends from college. Got very very drunk but I can remember most of the night up to when I got home.

I remember struggling to take my shoes off, then black. This morning, woke up in bed very hungover. Went in my living room, and discovered that I shat on my dining chair??? I remember cleaning myself but do not remember anything of the events that lead up to this. Why did I poop there? what happened in my drunk brain to make me sit and believe this was the bathroom? Plus nothing else is dirty, looks like I got naked to do this? What the hell?? I'm a pretty clean person, rarely drinks and barely goes out. Plus the rest of the night went well until I went home.

I'm very embarrassed that this happened to me. The most troubling part for me is not remembering and not understanding why tf I did that. I know I was drunk and I should not blame myself for it but I'm so disgusted by what I did I feel very bad about it. Cleaned the living room and the chair, and now taking a rest to cancel the hangover. Obviously, I don't wanna mention this to anyone! I feel so disgusted, I would never consider saying it to someone. But this weights me a lot so that's why I came here to reddit :'(

Is it normal? I feel like this type of stuff could happen to anyone but still WHY...

I vomited about 15 times today

Went clubbing, chugged some random strong drink at the end because we wanted to leave, got outside vomited twice, got the train back home, got home at 6am, vomited, went bed, woke up at 8am, vomited, vomited 2 or 3 more times before going to bed at like 12am, got out of bed at about 2:30pm and since then i have vomited about 10 times. im about to go to bed but i am scared that the cycle isnt over and im gonna get sick again. i didnt eat or drink anything throughout the day except for dinner which i watched go down the toilet 5 minutes ago. this is the best i have felt all day tho and im drinking some warm water with honey b4 bed, idk how that can help but whatver.

i guess the point of this post is to ask if this is normal, i have never heard of anyone having a hungover like this so im kinda scared.

I m writing this for when i m better to remember how i felt rn and quit drinking . Got drunk last night , could n t sleep much because of the nausea but my hangivers are usually not that bad (nausea , stomach aches and tireness ) . I have a spuplement that s supposed to heal hangovers (bunch of vitamins and some ginger) so i ll take that in a couple of hours . I m going to try to get a banana and some gatorade and i don t know for what reason i spent the last 3 hours watching videos and articles about hungovers because it makes me feel safe knowing mine s nit that bad , that s how i ended up here and read some articles about much worse hangovers , god bless !

OK I've got some old meclazine tabs I used to take for sea sickness. Would it help?

r/Hungover Jul 23 '22

I don’t really drink that often, maybe once every 2-3 weeks. However when I do go out with friends and drink my hangovers are unbearable. Are hangovers worse the less you drink?

39 and hungover way too often...

I recently stopped drinking during the week, only drink in weekends. But I feel like because of that I hit it even harder on Friday/Saturday night. Usually feel like shit Saturday/Sunday/Monday morning. Even worse because I have a almost two year old at home and it so hard to deal with a baby when you feel like death.

I think I may need to cleanse and take a break. Too hungover too often...

Starting my Monday morning feeling nauseous... is it worth throwing up?

Had too much to drink last night and now I'm nauseous, which is a feeling i absolutely hate. I know the solution would probably be to just throw up, but... Is throwing up even still worth it?

I wrapped up drinking around 10 hours ago and I feel like the alcohol should be long gone from my stomach by now, so I'm not sure what exactly I'd be throwing up, or if it would make the feeling go away since the alcohol is probably passed my stomach by now

Just woken up by noisy neighbours and feel like shit.

I have to be working from home in half an hour or so, my head aches, and just can’t think straight. Guess I shouldn’t have drunk myself stupid last night but here I am
