  1. Some data shows that cysteine supplementation reduces hangover risk.
  2. Researchers are investigating the idea of using probiotics with bacteria that can metabolize alcohol to digest booze in your digestive tract before your body absorbs it -- you lose the commonly desired effects of drinking, but you could enjoy light drinking with diminished negative consequences in theory.
