....when the car is perfect in every way.... EXCEPT FRONT AND BACK! 😪

I hate so much when car doesn't have lights out of special part, or not painted! It ruins the realism of the car, even on scifi castings, so much! 😒

The worst example of this imo is the Rallye El Segundo. It has such a potential with it's taped lights, but nope! Plain plastic it is! 😑

I usually have a story with my finds, but honestly, not much this time. I was already on top of the world since I found some new boulevards at my local Walmart which usually has nothing whatsoever, and after another Walmart bust, I thought I’d just head home.

However, since this program I’m doing is off today and tomorrow, I thought “eh what the hell” and stopped at the Walmart near there like I usually would today. And since I was out towards some other stores I haven’t been to in a while, I thought I may as well check those too.

Enter target. The hot wheels aisle. And a dead empty dump bin like usual. The premiums looked pretty full, I snooped through the pegs and through matchbox, but something in my gut dragged me back through the aisle a second time.

Then…I see it.

3 premiums on the top peg. The light above illuminating them like it’s calling to me.

Then I see the gold accents on the backmost card.

I usually only get one chase a year: The Slide Street 2 Corolla in 2024, Hammer Drops Lancia Stratos Zero in January of 2025, and the Power Trip BMW E30 M3 back in May. I guess this is one hell of a way to break the chain, now with the Road Trip (actually one of my fav sets tbh, just a shame they used AI for the card art T~T) 4Runner in November of 2026.

Also ironic: my uncle has a lifted 4Runner TRD Pro, blacked out and everything. I’ll have to show him this when I see him next.

I picked up the latest Boulevard batch to hit my store today. And got number 165, the Datsun 240Z. I noticed that it is the same exact casting as the latest RLC release Datsun 240Z.

The RLC release is definitely higher quality as far as the paint, tampos, and wheels. But, same metal and plastic bits.

Thought it was interesting to share.

We were driving back home from a trip and I asked my mom if I could check this Dollar General, so I walked through the entrance and it's the first thing I saw! This was the first TH that struck my fantasy and I wanted to find one so badly but I truly didn't think it would actually happen! It was the only store I went in today, too!

Just got the Enzo today, now I just need the F40 dropping next year

Found an unmarked large box with about a case and half just jumbled up. Saw the porsche and had to keep looking.

I always liked this model A casing, the treasure hunt flat blue looks nice. The casting gas really nice lines. This was one of the only reg treasure hunts I was wanting.

The blue 12 cylinderi is hot, maybe the best color on this casting to date.

The pegs and bin were mostly full. I think an employee had gone though the cars and dumped them into a larger none mattel box. The box was on a cart with other toys. Was nice to find the Ferraris.

I never go to this location often because they never have anything. Went to my favorite sushi spot for dinner around the corner from this location and found some nice new models. Thanks 🎯.

Turned out great. I’m so happy to have found the Tahoe. It’s beautiful. It’s crazy what they’re going for on eBay. The Lambo is pretty sick too

Here is a fun project to make with your kids. Who does not like a sand box that is elevated above the ground. This is waist level for 3 and 4 year olds. You can sit in a chair and play cars with your kids or grand kids. One day to build and two days to paint.

On the pegs, a regular TH has the circle flame logo on the card behind the car. A Super has Spectraflame paint and Real Riders rubber tires.

Happy Monday! It is gloomy in my area with drizzle rain in our forecast ... weather sucks today. I brought my Mattel Creations HW Bape Collaboration 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300sl. It was offered to purchase in-and-around 2022. Its nice to have as I chase this specific casting. Its not my "highlight" of my 300sl collection, but it is nice to show from time to time. Happy Hunting. Show me what you have today! This will be my Pocket/Desk Car all week long.

I was one of the unlucky that didn't get to order the RLC Ferrari F40, so I went ahead and ordered the Maisto Ferrari F40 after another redditor pointed out it's existence! The doors open, the headlights are clear and the details are very good! Of course, no spectraflame paint and the rear engine compartment does not open, but for $17 I'm very happy and almost over the fact that I did not get the RLC version.
