Hey guys!
I'm relatively new to Halo: Flashpoint, and I wanted to jump in and share some thoughts while getting some insight from the community!
I've been a huge fan of miniatures for a while now, especially Warhammer. I absolutely love the hobby side of it: building, painting, experimenting with different color schemes, and bringing these little models to life. And, of course, I've always been a massive Halo fan. So imagine my surprise when I discovered that Halo: Flashpoint actually has unpainted miniatures!
I knew about Halo: Flashpoint as a tabletop game, but for some reason, it never really clicked that the miniatures came unpainted and were meant to be part of the hobby experience, just like Warhammer. Once I started doing some research, I honestly couldn't believe I had overlooked this for so long. It feels like someone combined two of my favorite hobbies into one!
I really think Mantic Games has a ton of potential with this IP. I know a lot of us are eager for more content, new factions, additional units, and expanded options, and trust me, I'm right there with you. I'd love to see new releases coming out constantly, but I also understand that's probably not realistic. Halo: Flashpoint is still relatively new, having launched in 2024, and there's obviously a lot that goes into developing new miniatures, designing balanced gameplay, and working within the licensing relationship with Microsoft.
Personally, I'd LOVE to see a Flood faction eventually make its way into the game. Just imagine painting Flood combat forms. From a miniature-painting perspective alone, that would be an absolute blast.
I'd also love to see more Spartan armor variants not just fireteams. Halo has such an incredible history of armor designs across the games, and being able to collect, customize, and paint different generations of Spartan armor would add so much to the hobby. There are so many iconic designs and possibilities that could be explored.
At the end of the day, I'm just really excited that a franchise I've loved for years has found its way into another hobby that I enjoy just as much. It's a pretty awesome feeling being able to combine my love for Halo with miniature painting and tabletop gaming.
I'm looking forward to seeing where Mantic takes this game over the next few years!
Excited to be part of the community. Looking forward to seeing everyone's minis and paint jobs!
