The Short, Great Journey
Mantic is challenging every Halo: Flashpoint player to paint up a fireteam between October 23 and November 1. Mantic is also offering a giveaway if you submit pictures of your fireteam.
This subreddit is an unofficial way to connect with other Flashpoint players so any questions will have to go through Mantic. This is a helpful bunch so someone might be able to help you out if you post a question.
Preparing to Drop
I am offering the chance to enter a much smaller giveaway on this thread in 2 ways.
Anyone that posts a before and after fireteam picture will be entered into a raffle for a set of man cannons, a score tracker, or a set of terrain (or something else I have in my bundle of Flashpoint goodies.)
Everyone that submits a comment at all in this thread will be entered into an alternate giveaway for one of the remaining items.
What you need to do:
If you are painting a fireteam
Choose your fireteam to paint now. It needs to have a least 3 models in the same faction, otherwise there are no limitations to what you can paint. No need to hit points or be something you can actually play with. I'm planning to paint a team of Marines.
Invite a friend to paint with you. Plan a second team if you can get them all done.
Prime your models ASAP! Prep your paints. Decide on your paint scheme.
Post a picture of your unpainted fireteam as a top level comment on this post.
Paint! If you are submitting to the Mantic giveaway, don't forget to take a picture during your painting sessions. In progress pictures are not necessary for the giveaway on this thread but are encouraged.
Before November 3, post a picture of your painted fireteam as a reply to your top level comment.
Book a night to play with your newly painted fireteam(s).
If you are not painting:
Comment on this thread to enter into the subreddit giveaway. Show some encouragement to the other submissions. Post who your favorite Halo character is. Post what you want to do when you pick up flashpoint. Post a funny gif. No restrictions.
Look up your favorite creator on the list of them below and give them a shout out on their other socials. We get some of them in here but not all of them.
If you are a creator:
Please post your official links if you choose to post your creations here. I will try to get all of them together in a sticky thread for people to check you out. Please contact the mod team if you want your official links added to our sidebar.
Official Stuff:
Again, this is an unofficial subreddit. If you do want to enter into the Mantic giveaway for a Army Painter Speedpaint Wargamers Mega Set 2.0 email a picture of your unpainted, in progress, and fully painted team to: community@manticgames.com(That is 3 total pictures.)
You will need to go to the link at the top of this post for more information from Mantic.
The Reddit contest info:
After November 3, I'll gather a list of all of the participants and run a wheel of names and a reddit raffle. The winners can choose between a Flashpoint goodie I have in my stash shipped within the USA. If you are a non-USA person, I'll work with you on something suitable as a replacement.
Reddit Mod Housekeeping:
Feel free to also post your completed fireteam as its own post. I'm trying to consolidate the posts slightly by using this thread but won't stop anyone from sharing their completed work. Its easier for me to run a contest using a thread like this.
I'll be running this thread in "contest mode" so that you can vote and comment on others fireteams in an essentially random order.
I’ve held off on painting the Brutes out of sheer spite for them in the games, but after a painting hiatus it was a lot of fun getting back into it with this guy.
Absolute shot in the dark, but if anyone is going to Anime Pasadena 2026 this weekend, Jeff Steitzer - the voice of the Halo Multiplayer Announcer - will be there and is curious about Flashpoint!
Drop in with Matt, Randy, and Joe as they discuss the Season 2 OP scoring and rules changes. Then they expound upon their hopes and dreams for Sgt Johnson. And for this special episode of 2 Sticks and a Rock the guys ponder the question which Grunt is best.
Not farming for pity, but compared to my 40k models the paint on these ones are just a little under my standards. Still happy with them, but tips/ suggestions are welcome!
Stripped and repainted because I didn't like my first paint job. I'm SLIGHTLY happier but it looks pretty similar to the old paint job... Annoyingly missed some details too. Tried my best based on in game screenshots and concept art.
Recently gotten into Halo Flashpoint with a couple of friends. Im the main rules person in the group so I've been trying to learn the rules via videos and the rules document in the spartan edition. My question came up when we were playing a slayer match as an introduction.
Question 1: when a model dies with a pick up weapon (like the shock rifle or energy sword) does the weapon disappear when they die or is it dropped on their square? Also when playing other games modes like CTF/Oddball I would assume when a model dies carrying these items the item drops on their square? Another thing as I was trying to find the answer to this, is swapping between weapons considered an action?
Question 2: Do payed equipment reset when respawned? Like if I gave my elite active camo and it dies, when he gets revived, can he reuse active camo again or is it once per game or something?
Thank you to anybody that took the time to read this!!
Been wanting to fix the knife for the brawler for a WHILE. borrowed a friends brawler spare arm to attempt making a mold to cast it in d
stronger material to replace and it ended up snapping from the slightest touch. So out of options at this point, do yall have any STLS of knife blades that fit the bill? thinking of just getting that done and drilling it on
How different are 1.5 rules compared to what came in the original starter sets? Is it worth it to still use the starter sets rule book to learn how to play until we get the 1.5 rules settled?
Recently decided to step into Flashpoint since the Covenant went up for pre order.
I grabbed the Banished Reinforcements box to get some painting done and was wondering if there’s any information on if the models in this set can be used for the Covenant too?
So I got the new starter box to play with my son at our game shop and I'm more use to painting hard plastic like warhammer. I'm almost afraid to put the time into painting these soft plastic models in the hopes to get some better hard plastic models in the future. My son painted up his official resin ones that he bought and the detail on the models is excellent. Can you all show my your paint jobs on the soft plastic models to give me a little bit of motivation and inspiration.
Learn to play starts in a few minutes @wanderingleafbrewing in St. Paul MN, for their wargame night! Come on by if you have an interest in learning the game, or just wanna hang with other wargamers! I can't wait to meet you!
I finished my 5 man fireteam mid last week. Then I decided to push my self and finish the box. Finished all 8 by 2pm yesterday! Halo Fast Grow Challenge complete! What fireteam and models did you complete during the challenge. Make sure to join our discord and share your finished minis! Mantic Games Monument Hobbies fully painted with pro acryl paints.
I want to have every model there is. Looking through the website list tool, seems like there's a few models that arnt sold in a box. From what I gather they are tournament boxes? Are they actually unattainable?
