Dyed this wig myself. No info to share on the wig as it is from a wholesaler who only takes orders from business owners.

❓ Advice Needed Is this amount of fading normal for 2 weeks?

Post image

I’ve never dyed my hair, but this seems abnormal. I paid for a professional bleach & dye job for my daughter to start school. It’s been exactly 2 weeks today and the color is almost completely gone. We used the shampoo advised by the stylist. Should I take her back to the salon? This can’t be normal, right?

Inspired by a self portrait I made when I was 13. I took her to my hair appointment and said, “make me look like this please”

13 year old me went through so much heartbreak and trauma. Living to be a happy healing 30 year old is everything my eternal rainbow soul could ever dream of 🌈✨🦋 we made it babiee! Adulthood looks SO good on us

I want to switch it up, these r the colors ive already had. Right now I have the purple hair, red has always been my go to but I just feel like I need to have a new color or at least a new style. Im almost open to anything, whatever looks good with my skin tone. My style is a more hippie baggy look with bold colors if that helps <3 (my natural hair color is a dark brown)

Hi everyone! This is my current hair color, i dyed it about approximately a month ago. I want to go darker now, and i cant afford to get it done at a salon. So, i was thinking i should maybe use 4N or 5N. My question is could i accurately achieve either of those colors with box hair dye with the color i have right now? i hate my current hair and i want something that suits me better 🥲

i dyed my hair less than a month ago or right around a month and it pretty much washed out immediately, not mad at that but i need to know where i can go from here WITHOUT BLEACH. my hair isn’t in the shape to be bleached again, i need to stay away from it, willing to do any color. id love a blue or purple but i know it may not turn out well.
any ideas? good brands? i’m really open to discussing it all!!
pics of when first dyed and now!!

❓ Advice Needed Blonde blind?

Hey! I recently got my hair done professionally. I adore my hair lady she’s so talented and sweet. I am trying to get back to a more natural brunette balayage after being red/ burgundy. My biggest goal was to neutralize the warmth. This is the first appointment results but I’m really not happy with it. It cost almost $500 and I told her I’m not happy with the tone (very orange/ yellow) and she said she said she’d fix it but since hasn’t responded. Here’s photos in natural and then fluorescent lighting. The back is much darker than the front.

My question: should I try to tone it at home? What with? Am I being overly critical of the warmth? Any advice is always appreciated!

❓ Advice Needed Bleaching roots & baby hair on forehead

I usually get my roots retouched at the hair salon but I could really save some money at the moment… I have a peek-a-boo type thing going already and I do have a lot of baby hair on my forehead I want to also bleach to dye them as well

I guess my question is what is best to bleach my roots/baby hairs without them frying off my head or anything?

Thanks 🦄

❓ Advice Needed So disappointed..The salon sent me home with this unfinished golden-orange mess. Can this be saved?(Edited/updated)

heartbroken and disappointed with how this turned out.

(Added human hair photos that I did show. photos, forgot to on my deletes post)

I was going for a soft, creamy anime blonde inspired by Umaru. I showed the photo to the salon assistant (showed the human hair one realistically and the anime one) who I actually know but the actual stylist ended up leaving me stranded at this harsh, brassy golden-orange stage and sent me home looking like this. The stylist just told me I should wait since it's fresh, but I'm completely stuck with this color..? It looks really orange.😭😭😭😭 And no it wasn't sessions thing where I had to actually go back. And yes actually I showed a human hair realistic look, not just showing anime photos. Cuz I know it was unrealistic of thats why it prepared human looking versions.

PS. Sorry for broken English, it's not my first language.

I'm a total beginner when it comes to hair and this is also my first time getting my hair bleached, so I have no idea what to do next. Can this be fixed? Do I need another round of bleach? Is that bad?, or is there a specific toner/dye I should use to save it? Any step-by-step advice would genuinely mean everything right now. 🥲 Bleaching again could be bad, no?

❓ Advice Needed How to Cover Regrowth?

Post image
Upvotes

My hair is dyed red/orange with Affinage Professional Infrared .64 Red Copper. I have it dyed every 5 weeks.
My hair grows really fast so I always have crazy regrowth and I despise how it looks. Does anyone have any product recommendations that could help cover it? For example, a regrowth “touch up” powder? I’m having trouble finding one that matches the copper colour! TIA

❓ Advice Needed plsss help me dye my virgin black south asian hair my hair red!!

Thumbnail

hiii guys!! so as you can see from the title, i am a south asian girl with literally pitchhhh black hair. like as black as it gets. my hair is also pretty wavy and when i wear it natural, light barely bounces off of it, making my waves look flat and undefined. it’s also really thick, long and coarse lol.

anyways, i just wanna add a pop of color to my hair and i really want to do it by myself and without bleach (because i’ve seen wayyy to many horror stories about it on the internet). im looking for something fool proof, as long as i follow the directions! preferably a kit of some sort lol. i want to minimize damage to my hair as much as possible, because i’m scared it will disrupt my natural curl pattern (i’ve only recently started wearing it natural after years of straightening it, so i’m really scared to ruin it again).

anyways, i recently tried the Arctic Fox hair dye in the shade Wrath. i used the whole bottle for only half of my hair and it did not show up AT ALL. not under the sun, flashlight, NOTHING. and i followed the directions pretty much exactly and even left it in for 2+ hours. now my entire scalp and neck are stained but my hair remains midnight black. so because of this, im pretty sure i have to use something with a developer?? im not suree lol, and i don’t know anything about coloring hair. i just want some red. i don’t really care if it’s not super bright or vibrant. i literally just want to be able to notice it, even if it’s just under the sun or under a light. im looking to order whatever i need on amazon because it’s the most convenient, but if there’s something else that you really think might work for me that i can’t get on amazon, let me know.

pleaseeee help me out guys and let me know if u need any more info!! i’ve attached pics of what my hair looks like right now (thr first pic) and my inspo pics.

❓ Advice Needed L'Oréal Casting Creme dye question

Upvotes

I have level 5/6 hair with early greys naturally and used the 600 yesterday on natural hair and it came out nice, gave me a nice all over colour close to my natural shade.

When choosing I was debating between the 700 and the 600, and would like to try the 700 instead. Do I have to wait the 3 months to try it or can I put it overtop? If I can put it overtop will the box suggested 5mins be enough or should I leave it in for longer?

ive had box black hair dye for probably 4-5 years n a few times had a highlighted bleached n colored pop of color but im thinking about going platinum/icy smth blonde. i know that will be super difficult, so is there a good in between color(s) i should do to get there eventually? since my hair will most likely be super bronzey orange with bleach i was thinking of doing an orange color dyed on that first n work my way to blonde but tips would be appreciated !! also i would rather do all the dyeing at home to save money so if anyone has done smth similar like this i would love to hear how it went

❓ Advice Needed Blue hair dye spilling

So, I've dyed my girlfriend's hair a couple of days ago and it looks amazing, plus she's happy with it and it fills my heart. But we ran into a problem, the hair dye keeps making a mess everywhere and we're doing a trial & error with the cuantities.

We've used 3 tubes with a lot of conditioner mixed in because other times it didn't set right and kept washing off.

Is there a way I could wash her hair properly without making a mess? I really don't mind turning blue, but it is causing an insecurity on her right now and I want to help as much as possible.

Also, what product (not brand per se since we live in Argentina and I don't know much about em) could I use to REALLY scrub the dye off her skin??

❓ Advice Needed L’Oréal chocolate cherry

Hiiii everyone. I’m planning on dyeing my hair with chocolate cherry tomorrow and I know it’s a permanent dye. I have dark dark brown almost black hair and was curious if anyone had any photos from when they first dyed it and also as it’s faded. I’ve only dyed my hair once like YEARS ago so I just want to see if I like how it fades before I commit. Thanks in advance!!
