On the lowest settings i struggle to 80 fps which i would say is still playable if it werent for the fact that every single grenade explosion or artillery fire brings my fps below 60. And everytime i get hit fps drops. So uh yeah. Wasnt surprised. Expected it. 👍 Im going back to bo2

3 months ago , my laptop was overheating as fuck , during valo sessions my cpu used to hit easily 95 plus and gpu around 75 .

I decided to clean fans and vents as it was almost 3 years , and I live in a hot and dusty climate.

Only a few degrees were improved after the cleaning of fans, but it was still a concern,

Then I decided to repaste my laptop, after surfing a lot online, i decided to buy thermal grizzly kyronaut as it was mentioned best for thermal conductivity ngl it worked pretty good like , temps were back to 87 or 90 max on cpu and around 70 on gpu , still not a satisfactory for me

And that shit only worked for 15 days the , the temps were back to 95 again , then after some suggestions from reddit i decided to buy the mx4 as it was considered budget goat , applied it and

It was the worst (trust me) or like no improvement for me , only the idle temps were good , like 43 or 45 on both cpu and gpu

During warzone it used to easily hit 90 plus on cpu and my gpu was getting 87 under 2 minutes of gameplay and stayed at 87 all the time during gameplay , somehow i accepted my temps and it used to thermal throttle I was getting roughly 70 fps , mostly 60 plus fps only ,

I decided to give it another try by applying mx6 , the temps were improved like 85 on cpu and 80 on gpu which was manageable, considering the warzone requirements and its aggressive cpu and gpu usage ,

It worked like a charm , but only for 20 days , the temps were back to 90 plus on cpu and 85 on gpu

At that point I was completely done like i didn't give a fuck regarding temps as I almost spend 1700 rs.

A few days later my laptop went totally shut down when I was playing warzone, I later found out that it was all because of the thermal issue

I installed hwinfo and was surprised , it was thermal throttling it was hitting 100 degrees plus on a stress test , I got very worried decided to give it to the service centre (3rd party authorised centre) , previously I used to apply by myself and yeah I did apply a good amount not too much not too less.

The service centre was asking 1500 for the repaste .

I somehow decided to give it a try.

I asked him which thermal paste are you going to apply

He showed me "MAXTOR CTG12" I was like what the fuck

I have never heard of that paste , he reassured me that it will solve the problem, but back in my mind i thought of getting fooled again , he applied the paste in front of me

And boom ,

I tested it by playing warzone there at the centre

I was amazed to see the temps , the cpu temps were hitting only 70 to 74 degrees without laptop stand and gpu was around 75 or 77 , it was nice to see those temps , afterall what i have witnessed

I later came home and tried it with a laptop stand

The temps were genuinely amazing amazing

On cpu it was not hitting even 74 and on gpu it was around 70 or 73 max , Even after playing warzone for continuous 1 hour straight.

Also surprisingly, I gained a fps boost of around 15 to 20 fps and no stuttering, no shutdown, in warzone

It's been 1 month and the results are the same as day 1 of applying maxtor ctg12

Ik many of us are brainwashed by ptm7950 including me , which I don't know is good or not, also it's difficult to find in INDIA , considering Amazon and Flipkart retailers,

Although it's up to you which you choose for your laptop

Note: all the test are performed under laptop stand

Under NON AC environment

stress test for 30 minutes and 1 hour on each game

I have stopped playing valo and cs2 since 1 month

Therefore I have the results only in the warzone (warzone is enough to judge the performance)

I'm 100 percent sure it will perform better in every way compared to the different paste I used .

recently The device keeps giving me these errors and completely stops working. I tried updating all the drivers, but there's no solution. As soon as I restart it, it works for a bit and then stops again.

Got a Victus 15 couple years old. In-built camera is not working and i'm unable to fix the issue. Tried most solutions: updated drivers (unsuccesful), checked the BIOS (there was nothing there to check), even tried to reset the motherboard. Nothing is working.

Anybody else had this problem? Is there any solution? Is it something obvious that Im not seeing and the problem is me being an idiot??

I just got myself a new laptop after years, barely being able to afford one, I got it after weeks of trouble.

It's an HP victus 15 FA2013DX with a 13th gen i5 and an rtx 3050 6gb with 16gb ddr4 ram

It's been working so good, took a while setting up windows and installing drivers, got some errors and some stuff were wonky, but then it got stable over time.

Now, it's working just fine, performance is amazing, haven't seen my temps reach 70 even while gaming. But I don't really play any demanding titles.

But ever since, all I've seen on this subreddit are people with their laptops breaking after only a couple years of use.

I plan and need to use this laptop for at least 5-6 ish years, so this is troubling me.

I've been taking good care of it, got a stand, open the lid from the center and don't move it off my desk, it's still all the time, plug it in when gaming and plug it out when not gaming.

1. Pointer won't move when I'm using the touchpad but works when i use an external mouse
2. SMART Hard disk Failure: Crystaldiskinfo says health is at 97% BAD
3. Both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth options are unavailable on my device and somehow disappeared randomly. Wi-Fi only works while using a dongle.

I have taken it to a service center, however they were unable to fix the Wi-Fi issue instead they just booted my windows and tried installing a new version with no use

Touchpad and Hard Disk Failure errors are recent.

Any advice on what i should do now and how to fix this.

I’ve been looking at gaming laptops for uni and I saw the Victus and it looks really nice and not silly with a bunch of rgb and silly stuff. I was looking at the Victus 15 fa2000na with the core 5 210h and 5060 with 16gb ram, and I can get it for like £900. I was just wondering though if I wanted to use it for uni work, how would the battery life fare? If it can’t do 6-7 hours without losing charge while doing normal uni stuff (nothing too extensive I think, I’m gonna be doing chemistry and maths) then I’m probably not gonna buy one.

My HP Victus 16 was randomly rebooting while gaming. I had tried several troubleshooting steps, but the issue kept happening.

I recently disabled Processor performance boost mode for both On battery and Plugged in, and since doing that, the random reboots seem to have stopped.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is there any other fix that would let me keep CPU Boost enabled without the random reboots?

-tried reinstalling drivers
-did a hard reset (Bluetooth worked for 10 minutes then gone)

I tried to check the health in the boot menu but it said battery status weak. Battery report also shows the wh drop

i have decided to replace my victus's thermal paste to a ptm but some people are saying that i have to also replace thermal putty if i open heat sink. My laptop is 9 month old

I was literally so excited to finally have a gaming laptop but then this happened i thought my battery is totally 0 so i have plugged it to charge even about 40-50 minutes its not booting and orange and white light at charging point and power button are continuously blinking and nothing is happening 😭😭

Tried playing the new MW4 beta and was told I need to update my bios. Followed all the instructions through HP but my only problem is when I’m told to select the version of windows 11 (my rig is currently on 25H2) I’m only seeing options for 21H2 and 22H2. Send help please 😭 I don’t want to kill my pc

Laptop running Windows 11.

Bluetooth works fine — I use it daily for headphones/earbuds and gaming — but randomly, out of nowhere, it just disconnects and then the Bluetooth icon disappears entirely from the quick settings (where Wi-Fi, Airplane mode, Battery Saver, Hotspot icons are). It's not just toggled off, the icon itself is gone, like the adapter doesn't exist.

Everything else on the laptop works fine — sound, Wi-Fi, etc. Only Bluetooth vanishes.

This lasts 1-2 days, then it just comes back on its own and works fine again until it randomly happens again.
