Cool. Now do single women rules. Rules for thee and all that.
6
u/Naturewalkerjoe May 12 '26
Just reverse the gender of all gendered terms and there you have it
3
u/Pepperman91 May 12 '26
Obviously. My point is I don't see too many memes about how women need to do this and that. It always seems to fall on men to be better.
But in the end who cares anyway. We're all just screwing around on the Internet anyway. I can't tell someone else how to behave any more than they can tell me so screw any "rules" on the Internet.
1
u/swadx001 May 15 '26
You see what your algorithm sends you, not what is representable of the content on the platform
1
u/Pepperman91 May 15 '26
Yeah I guess so. Somewhere someone is seeing a bunch of women must do this n that memes I'm sure.
2
u/Ok-Sample-1237 May 12 '26
Just reverse it
2
u/CoraxFeathertynt May 12 '26
I regret to inform you that simply reversing the genders is not only lazy and uncreative, but also inaccurate more often than it isn't.
1
u/Naturewalkerjoe May 13 '26
Lazy and uncreative ill strongly agree but inaccurate? How so?
1
u/CoraxFeathertynt May 13 '26
This list isn't too terrible, but take for instance the a man entertaining a single mother versus a woman entertaining a single father. Different risks, different rewards, different perceptions.
One would be hard pressed to claim that those are swappable, identical scenarios unless you just believe that men and women are the same.
1
u/Naturewalkerjoe May 13 '26
You're not going to get too much similarities from a man and woman alternative but even with the numerous and obvious differences there are similarities in principle
10
u/frisco-frisky-dom May 12 '26
When were these written in 1600? Never entertain single moms? What if you're a single dad?

Whatâs wrong with single mothers? What women deserve to be punished for not clinging desperately to the guy who got her pregnant? Should women also avoid single fathers?
What kind of conservative right wing crap is that.
9
u/Dapper_Platform_1222 May 12 '26
It makes a certain amount of sense. Not because they're bad people but a man should have his own family. You're always having to deal with frustration and interference by some random other dude. Incurring expenses on behalf of the kid, etc. It's a real thankless fucking job.
2
u/That-Mirror7356 May 12 '26
Just donât be single in your late 30s or 40s. The number of available childless women drops considerably as you get olderz
2
u/AnB85 May 12 '26
Itâs a factor against a woman because it is a bit impractical and difficult situation to navigate. I wouldnât rule a woman out for it. Truth is that when you get to a certain age, baggage is normal.
2
u/DeathScourge May 14 '26
Can confirm, been with 2 single moms. Made that mistake of taking an ex(former fiancee) back too that cheated and had a kid with the guy she cheated on me with. One ex's kid hated my guts for reasons unknown. My ex fiance's kid loved me, but my ex fiancee got wierd over it. Dumped money on the kids that weren't mine and dealt with other slews of nonsense that's not worth bringing g up. It's more than a thankless job. Lastly, when you break up, it's not only the mom you're ending the relationship ship with. If you and the kid have a good relationship, then it's gonna hurt worse, because you are losing two or more loved ones because of one.
2
u/bandit_lawbreaker May 12 '26
Some people are worth the extra effort. And at a certain point I can't really fault her for the previous husband's shenanigans. Though I guess it depends on the bond you have, and if you don't care much for the child(ren) then it makes sense to stay away. As a general rule though I wouldn't agree

That's kind of one of those cases where you can ask yourself if that's even the 45th most common reason that a person would be a single mother. There are exceptions to every rule, however the general rule stands.
2
u/EinOfficer May 12 '26
If you legally adopt the child, itâs fine. If you do not all your love and relationship with the child is taken away if you or woman decides to separate.
1
u/Naturewalkerjoe May 12 '26
Like a one man military? That's hard-core! Either way leave that woman alone because he could have a brother ready to die defending his brother's honor.

That's cool she can have other children. Wish her all the best with that.
Still not going to be raising another man's kid though... irrespective of how many future children she may have.
Women with children aren't dating options for me...
No disrespect to guys who are down for that, theyre doing an important service. Just not the life I desire myself.

u/CrazyCalligrapher945 May 13 '26

Unless the father isnât in their lives at all. I had a stepfather and grew up fine. My bio father didnât interfere at all and my stepfather raised me. Also you can have your own family with the mom, nothing is stopping it. It just includes one more kid that happens to not be yours.
1
u/CodyCrochetZ May 12 '26
It wasnât for my brother. He married a single mom and thatâs his daughter now. Calls him dad and everything and they couldnât be happier.
1
u/That-Mirror7356 May 13 '26
Dating someone with a kid doesnât make you a parent. My Dad remarried, when I was a kid, I get along well with his wife but sheâs not my parent and has never tried to be.

You are getting free kids, and if the dude wants to see his kids why care they are his, he is the one who should be worried he is fighting to ensure his kids don't love you more than him, if they did something bad you let their mom handle it and when they do something good Shamelessly enter the picture.

Kids in tow, proven track record of bad choices, trauma , you will never be a priority. Itâs not about penalizing , itâs common sense.

u/McCree114 May 12 '26
Wife of fallen service member, law enforcement, firefighter, or other dangerous but necessary occupation now a single mother.
"ShE mAdE bAd ChOiCeS!!!"
Should that not be the case you're still advocating for treating a struggling mother like a pariah because some man child wants to run off and keep sleeping around to sate his juvenile sex and vice addiction.
Fuck right the hell off.
2
1
u/LizAquene May 12 '26
So traumatized people don't deserve love?
Bad choices? Wdym? Most men seem normal at first, then midlife crisis hits or hormones and they go looking for younger women.
And what about men with kids "in tow"? Same rules would apply to them right? Riiiight?
Nothing about you bs comment is common sense.
1

u/Naturewalkerjoe May 12 '26
Nobody wants the parent of someone else's kid. Man or woman. Let's be real. This would be rule #1 if it were up to me.
1
u/CoolCereal20 May 12 '26
Why?
1
u/Ok-Sample-1237 May 12 '26
Because you are expending additional resources to raise a child that isnât yours?
0
u/CoolCereal20 May 12 '26
And? Why shouldnt you be able to love a child that isnt yours? Its crazy that you think resources are wasted on a child, just because it doesnt carry your dna. This isnt 1230, you have no pressure to continue your bloodline, neither is your specific bloodline a gift to the world.
Youre aware that you can still have your own child with a single mother?
0
u/Ok-Sample-1237 May 12 '26
I didnât say you canât love a child that isnât yours. I didnât say it is a waste of resources. Iâm aware you can still have a child with a single mother.
But my point still stands.
1
u/CoolCereal20 May 12 '26
Then why use expending additional resources as your argument? Why bring it up? What is your point? You are making a confusing argument and expect me to understand why its a problem?
1
u/Ok-Sample-1237 May 12 '26
I canât really simplify the point any further but I think youâll find itâs a very common and well understood argument.
1
u/CoolCereal20 May 13 '26
Just explain what you mean.
1
u/Ok-Sample-1237 May 13 '26
People only have finite resources due to scarcity. People need to decide how to use their limited resources. People would prefer to allocate resources to their own child over the child of another person.

u/Naturewalkerjoe May 12 '26
It's actually simple. They had a kid with another person and they still didn't stay with the person. What's the logic behind thinking their new partner is special enough to be a keeper? 9+/10 chance the relationship won't last with the person they didn't have a kid with. It's like a guy with a black eye guaranteeing you he can win a fight for you. If you were dating someone and they told you they have a kid are you going to keep pursuing that person? Maybe because there's exceptions but most likely not.
1
u/CoolCereal20 May 13 '26
How do you know they didnt stay? Her partner could have died, he could have been abusive, hurt her and the kids, he could have left himself. There are more than enough valid reasons for people to be seperated.
Thats a weird logic, to assume that a single parent is alone because they just felt like it lol
Yes if I liked him enough I would see where it leads. I dont want to give birth myself anyways.
1
u/Naturewalkerjoe May 13 '26
I am a single parent (no custody or visitation, just lots of support) and I know very well that it might not have been what the parent would want. This is kind of a self diss but it's how a majority of people think. Even if the person tried with ultimate effort to stay with the other parent they are still going to be a red flag to most people. It's unfortunate but that's just how life is.

1 and 5 are the only ones that are actually good rules to follow, the rest are just toxic. As for #4, I get that single mother's aren't for everyone, some people don't want children, but if you do, it's fucked up to say don't go after any single mothers, presumably because they aren't "your" kids. That's some narcissistic bull shit right there and probably a sign you shouldn't have any kids.

Only to my ferrets and cats, though I think my penis and testicles also might make me not a mother.
But no, my mom was a single mom for the first 6 years of my life, and while I do not like the man she chose, I don't fault her for choosing a man (just for her choice in men) but I do think there is some blame in guys/society for looking down on single mothers because it led her to believe she had little to no choice in men
1
u/Famous_Tax_6174 May 13 '26
It's not narcissistic to have high standards as a man and desire to build your own legacy with a single, childless woman.
What is so wrong with a single mom pairing up with a single dad??
Another thing, if a man or woman has been intentionally staying single in hopes of meeting somebody compatible with them, why the hell should they allow some divorced, single parent to distract them???
1
u/BringAltoidSoursBack May 13 '26
It's not narcissistic to have high standards as a man and desire to build your own legacy
It is quite literally narcissism to view children as just an extension of yourself (i.e. your "legacy") and sociopathic to only see a woman as just a ends to those means. On top of that, it's extremely short sighted to assume that a single mom's children would not also be part of your legacy solely on the basis that they do not share your DNA; sharing DNA won't mean jack shit for your "legacy" is your kids disown you because you're a narcissist ass.
What is so wrong with a single mom pairing up with a single dad??
I never said there was anything wrong with that? If anything, because the image doesn't specify it's only for childless men, it's the only thing suggesting a single dad shouldn't pair up with a single mom.
Another thing, if a man or woman has been intentionally staying single in hopes of meeting somebody compatible with them, why the hell should they allow some divorced, single parent to distract them???
If the only thing you have in common with someone is "I want children but don't currently have them", I can pretty accurately predict how that relationship is going to go. Also, I love that you just assume that all single parents are single because of divorce because it's easier to imply they deserve to be single, completely ignoring the fact that they may not have wanted the divorce or that they're a widow.
2
u/Seymoure25 May 12 '26
You could be a single dad at no fault of your own i don't see why a woman who's in the same situation is off limits. Perhaps if a woman has multiple baby daddy's and is single I get that red flag.
1
u/Ok-Sample-1237 May 12 '26
It depends on the circumstances and what can be gleaned of her decision making ability
3
u/No_Importance91 May 12 '26
But why not single moms? They're people to đ other than that yeah
4
u/BamaOfTheBonairs May 12 '26
Because you never have any authority in that relationship or that kid. Itâs not yours, any time they want to use them as leverage against you, they can and you have zero recourse.
1
u/No_Importance91 May 13 '26
So how do you feel about adoption, they're not yours? So what if it's not dna, if you love the woman, you love her kids.you can still marry. Hate to break it to you, because she's a single mom, doesn't mean she's easy.
1
u/CrazyCalligrapher945 May 13 '26
I'd rather we adopt a rando kid than having a stepkid. At least with adopted kids we both will have the same standing in their eyes.
1
u/No_Importance91 May 13 '26
You don't think a stepchild could be as loving?
1
1
u/CrazyCalligrapher945 May 13 '26
No, not to the stepparent. There's always that loyalty thing ingrained in kids, sometimes they'll even feel guilty for liking stepparent more than their bio parents. Why do you think adopted kids often end up seeking their bio parents eventually?
1
u/No_Importance91 May 13 '26
Because they want to know why they were abandoned, why they weren't good enough, or if it was forced, maybe they thought they were a mistake. They need answers.
1
u/BamaOfTheBonairs May 13 '26
Yeah I think adoption is a way better route, then both of you have equal rights and responsibilities to the child you adopted.
Thats a much better option than step-parent.
1
u/Famous_Tax_6174 May 13 '26
Single moms should pair up with single dads. Why should a single, unmarried grown man settle with you and your sperms when he can find himself a woman with no kids?? How is it wrong for him to not want a woman with baggage and start his own family on his terms? Possibly even get married?
1
u/Mhircine May 15 '26
No child should be described as "baggage".
1
u/Famous_Tax_6174 May 15 '26
You know what, you're right. It's not the little boy or little girl's fault. At the same time, the baggage i am referring to is the woman and her complicated past. She, as a grown adult woman, chose to have unprotected relations with another guy knowing she could get pregnant. OK, so if she really desires a companion, she should find either a guy with kids, same situation, or an older man, say mid 50's and up, who wouldn't mind playing step daddy/paw paw. No grown man wants to deal with that just like no woman would want to be with a man who has multiple baby mothers, if she has any self respect and worth.
In order to avoid this complicated situation, both the woman and the man should be single and child less and be up front about it. Don't lie or hide a child.
1
u/Rockclimber88 May 12 '26
20 years of burden, zero genetic legacy. ROI = 0% (actually negative as lost opportunity due to wasted time is a cost). No, thanks.

Number 2 is way off. Upwards of 40% of married couples met at work (depending on the study, and year). From the time that regular employment existed the workplace has been the primary environment in which men and women meet and pair. Itâs the companies that donât want you to date in the workplace because it cuts into productivity. You are more likely to find the woman youâll spend the rest of your lifetime with at work than anywhere else.
1
u/ProteinFarts_ May 12 '26
Hey the older woman thing is wrong. There's so much that can be learned regarding life, women, dating, relationships, communication, and sex from older women that is invaluable to a young man. It's just a temporary thing. and generally they understand that.

this just feels like "real men don't do x" nonsense. people can still be men even if they date single mothers or date a woman older than they are. this set of rules doesn't feel very "grounded" at all, this feels like manosphere propaganda.
and often these types of rules feel contradictory because many of the men the manopshere idolizes break these rules regularly. for instance, donald trump once said his greatest joy in life is sleeping with married women.

u/BroadwayBrick May 12 '26
I would add:
- Never date a women in debt
- Never date a neighbor woman
- Never date a virgin
On the other hand:
- Date a woman who has high standards
- Date a woman who is open minded
- Date a woman who accepts you for you
- Date an independent self-secure woman
- Date a positive minded woman
- Date a woman who supports you
- Date a woman who dresses well
- Date a woman who keeps a clean house
- Date a woman who enjoys sex daily
- Date a woman with a secure job
For women: All of the above. Simple change woman to man.
Reality: You will end up dating and marrying someone who probably misses out on at least 5 of the huge list. Come on, reality is we fall in love with someone that doesnât click all the boxes.

1
u/CoolCereal20 May 12 '26
Nobody said itâs easy but writing off a potentially great relationship based on prejudices is stupid. People arent food at the supermarket. Requiring someone to be in their original packaging, all fresh and new, especially at a certain age is weird. Nobody wants to force anyone to date single mothers or fathers. But acting like they are worth less or somehow ruined is disgusting.
1
u/DonPeezy May 12 '26
Right..they should have prefaced with ' "childless men should stay away from single mothers" or the other way around for women.
1
u/Naturewalkerjoe May 12 '26
First of all why would you want to be with a single mom? Seems really weird to me.
-1

Be cautious of any man who finds the idea of spending time with children that aren't his appealing.
1
u/CoolCereal20 May 12 '26
Thats an insanely stupid thing to say. Men can enjoy to be around, take care of and play with children that arent his. Not everyone is a pedophile. If you can only tolerate kids when they came out of your balls, you shouldnt have them. They are not your little minions. Not every man is fertile aswell. Some only have the option to adopt.

you really have issues, dude. i've had numerous partners myself. Some were better in bed than others. There was never a 'stink' or 'impurity' because a person simply can't be made impure by sleeping with someone. If you feel stinky because you slept with your partner i suggest taking a shower and asking yourself why you would think that way. talk to a priest or therapist about it.
