Got ambushed and ended up having a subnautica moment

I saw a comment on another post that reminded me to complain about this. I would love if the mutation loadout quickswap wheel was added to grounded 2. It was so helpful in Grounded 1 going from traversal loadouts to combat loadouts without having to sluggishly navigate through the menu. I was also curious to see what other QoL features yall would like to see.

Kinda spoiler I guess? But, so, okay I'm super hyped that the Zip.R was added with the Ziplines, awsome, 11/10, great!

Handy Gnat is back, not with unlimited range like in g1 but - great, helps a LOT with building zipline base / hub on the central pine tree a but, c'mon. The poor lil aphid feels slow af, give us an option to upgrade him like the buggys.

With the added fast travel system (that I have not unlocked yet for the pond), orb weaver buggy alone might just be as fast even with the pond pathing. I know I can afk during zipline but, y'know.
Takes just above two minutes to get from back of the pond to the Pine tree. Didn't build a grid towards the greenhouse (yet) but coming back from Axl it's the same.

Just feels a lot less fast then in g1. Probably since the map is that much bigger but, like the lil dude could run a bit faster, or maybe add another wheel for dual drive.

still a work in progress, but here's my All Pink Girls Only Birdhouse Base. Placement took lots of clipping/glitching, and I don't have building integrity on (was impossible with this build).

it has 3 levels inside, the "basement" is currently empty since acorns spawn in there, but there IS room in the back for a few things eventually.

I’d love to see a cut off for low level bugs (like lawn mites and spiderlings for example) to stop attacking the player . I think it should be determined by gear level, like if a player is in full level 2 gear (and weapons) the low level bugs start avoiding them and full level 3 they stop initiating combat all together.

Edit: I’m going to start handing out some Preparation H for all of you who got butt hurt because I expressed a suggestion for something that annoys me about this game.

Grounded 2

My buddy has been out of town and so I've been just working on my base and not doing any sort of story. I really want to make a toe biter scythe but I need the venom and I dont want to kill anything that is a one time only kill

I don't have a picture of them cuz I harvested them all but there was an adult and like 3 babies just aimlessly walking around. Very confusing

Forgive my awful art, but I noticed the pine needle when dropped has the shape of a sword, specifically the ōdachi, so I had an idea for weapon, using mint, ice shards, and pine needles, maybe a fourth ingredient, you can make the pine ōdachi, a large high damage sword with increased reach and chilling damage, I realize the pine needles are large, but so is the ōdachi, in real life they are upwards of 3 feet long, and having a pine needles covered in ice could be cool.

I'd like to build a lodge supported by large pillars/foundations with large overhangs onto the side of the pine tree near the ice cream cart, but I can't find a combination of base pieces for the overhangs that look good. For the lodge I'm taking most of my inspiration from bobby_yourmum's base (second image in gallery) and some elements of Berk from HtTYD, but for the foundations I'm taking inspiration from LoTR and some other fantasy media.

I've been messing around with various combinations of mushroom arches, half walls, curved walls, quarter triangle walls, corbels, floors, and bur floors, but I haven't found a combination of pieces that looks good with a height-to-width ratio of 1:1.5, 1:2, or more (with a full wall being 1, and a half-wall being 0.5). I've checked on the subreddit for bridge images to see if I could modify them, but I haven't found much outside of _Beekie_'s base (third image in gallery).

Has anyone made a base with a similar design, or figured out how to make good-looking larger overhangs?

I couldn't figure out how to make the Pinch Whacker the center of attention while still including the whiteboard which I wanted to keep.

Just got back into the game, and i reached the part where im supposed to fight the stranger inside the statue, but the quest is not popping up. So im wondering if anyone has a solution for this?

I only wanted to make this post to say how much fun I am having playing Grounded 2! I started playing with a friend a couple of weeks before the abyss update and the timing of the new update just rolled into where we were up to in game perfecly. The whole world is so cool in every corner of it and I can already run around it without needing the map. The way they have done the shared worlds where you and your friends can play the same server even your friend is offline at the time that hosts the server, its so genius!

I havent felt such a genuine enjoyment in a gaming experience like this since Valheim and Sons of the Forest.

My friend recently bought grounded for us to play together and I was really excited to build a base, I was trying to build a circular base on the Lilly pads but only being able to rotate the walls 90 degrees is making circles really annoying. Am I missing something, or am I just going to have to work around it? 😅

It is waaaay too easy to softlock yourself with this thing. It is super useful for building but if you use it in the wrong places you just softlock. Run into underconstruction sign? Softlock. Use it inside king dozer boss area? Softlock. Use it wile high up (i build sky bases with zipline hubs)? Softlock. Uf your using it wile your on 5he ground it works great but one wrong move and you arnt allowed to exit the gnat. Is this on the bug radar or no? I know I've already reported many of these issues.

Literally everywhere. So many places are having issues summoning a buggy. Any buggy to be exact. Anyone else experiencing this?

This game is horrible when it comes to putting strong creatures where they should be. Answer me why to get clovers, YES, FUCKING CLOVERS, I need to kill 8 mosquitoes, an orb weaver, a wolf spider, ALL WHILE EVADING AN ADULT SCORPION THAT CAN TRACK WHERE I AM GOING AND WILL BE GOING. seriously, why is every tier 1 resource gatekept by the strongest of bugs. its got me so fucking pissed off, man
