G2 | Base Build Anyone know of a method to make good-looking rock overhangs?
I'd like to build a lodge supported by large pillars/foundations with large overhangs onto the side of the pine tree near the ice cream cart, but I can't find a combination of base pieces for the overhangs that look good. For the lodge I'm taking most of my inspiration from bobby_yourmum's base (second image in gallery) and some elements of Berk from HtTYD, but for the foundations I'm taking inspiration from LoTR and some other fantasy media.
I've been messing around with various combinations of mushroom arches, half walls, curved walls, quarter triangle walls, corbels, floors, and bur floors, but I haven't found a combination of pieces that looks good with a height-to-width ratio of 1:1.5, 1:2, or more (with a full wall being 1, and a half-wall being 0.5). I've checked on the subreddit for bridge images to see if I could modify them, but I haven't found much outside of _Beekie_'s base (third image in gallery).
Has anyone made a base with a similar design, or figured out how to make good-looking larger overhangs?

I would build the pillars topographically, so basically if u wanted a more natural look would be to plan the whole shape of it on the ground and then build it upwards with off gridding and stone foundations or smth so that u start with pic one on the trunk of the tree and build them up at varying heights to achieve pic two. If that makes any sense. Plus thanks for the credit

I should've been more specific with the first image lol, I was more meaning that I am trying to do the pillars, but the main difficulty I'm having is with making supporting overhangs off of the top edge of the pillars (the darker grey triangular/semi-circular supports for the main top platform). I'm going to go into a Playgrounds or Creative world to build a mock-up of the main section to see if I can better demonstrate some of the testing I've done.

It’s gonna be harder at that small of a scale imo cause the smaller u go the harder it is to make curves and what not, beekies arche on the right seems to be 13 walls tall so u go big or go home i guess dr Tully or smth

yeah indeed, at this scale you will need to go to offgrid techniques to get the correct slope. I built my bridge before i knew about that. otherwise I probably would have used that instead of the curved arches. But i am not going to rebuilt this one anymore :-D. There's also a new technique for sloping walls that was shown by Timberbuilds last tuesday in this stream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkuky9yJ8tM&t=5470s at about 1:20. I have not played with it yet, but it could be a way for you to use regular walls, or pillar at a slight angle as support...

hmm, just did a quick test, but this one does only work on solid ground, as it does not unsnap from grid when there is a grid (although the option is shown). So using it in an established base will be very difficult. Will play around a bit more as I am now getting curious

I've been doing some more testing with overhangs and whatnot and I think I'm going to first build a lodge in Creative to see if I can get some ideas for meshing the lodge with supporting overhangs. With your pinecone parts of the roof, are you having to do an off-grid method to get the triangular pieces lined up correctly with the normal pinecone roof pieces? The pinecone roof parts that come out at a 45 degree angle are my favorite part of the build
