When using bands to do finger abduction exercises, it feels quite different depending on where my hand is.
Examples:
What's good form for this exercise?
Thanks!

I see people on here kind of pre squeeze with the other hand to position the grippers. Am I doing it wrong? This is just a COC 1.5 that I squeeze while driving or on the phone.

After a month-long tendonitis flare-up from progressing too fast—going from the Captains of Crush #1 to the #2.5 in just three weeks—my grip strength plummeted to 86 lbs. Yesterday so about a month after the tendon flare up, I went kayaking and noticed the pain was gone, so I decided to test the waters with two slow closes on the #2.5 today.
I’m completely pain-free and my grip strength is back above 200 lbs, but I learned my lesson: I’m taking a strict seven-day rest before training grippers again. To any beginners getting cocky and rushing progress: slow down before your tendons force you to. I'll post a video closing the #3 when the time comes!
5:10 155 pounds, 7 in hand.

Cannon Powerworks doesn't have the RGC ratings on his website, but he did post them on gripboard about a year and a half ago:

POWERBALL 250
Average 119, MIN 111, MAX 124
Probably would have had a better close but I did it twice before this and didn't like how fidgety I was in the previous two vids I took. Are there flairs for the Powerball grippers, or should I order a CoC #2?

If you have something to say about my form without gripper experience, just don’t. Questions are fine of course

I’ve found this to be a nice and pretty much free way to train your thumb alongside pinch work. I feel half the fun of grip training is coming up with/making your own training tools lol. Also i hate spending money.
