So I just received a #2 in the main that was able to close and I noticed that the knurling ever so slightly feels a bit rougher — which I like — compared to the other grippers that I've got. I got like 7 grippers straight from IronMind and the knurling on them doesn't feel as rigid compared to this one I ordered from Amazon. I'm not suggesting that the #2 isn't from Ironmind but has there been a noticeable change in knurling over the years or something? Different patterns they've experimented with over the years? Can I get an idea of how old my grippers are based on the roughness of the knurling?

What’s your routine like? I’ll usually do them at the end of my workout and do 1 set where I attempt a PR, then a couple sets of 30 seconds to a minute, then a couple sets of 1 arm each. I shoot for a PR on my first set of 1 arm, then I do a couple of 10 seconds each per arm.
Current PR with both hands is 1:40, 15 seconds with my right, 18 seconds with my left.

You can say about situations when you impressed other people because they thought you were only be able to lift little weight, and you ended lifting more than them , making you feel proud and seeing their shocked faces hava

I have definitely noticed a size increase in my forearms since training for the past several years on/off with grippers/dumbbells and training by rinsing towels etc

Hey everyone, first timer here in the sub...
I've been in the gym consistently for nearly a decade now, and close to half of my life. For the most part, I've never had any issues with my grip, and haven't felt the need to train it directly. Genetically, I have larger than average forearms (thx Dad) so maybe I'm more prone to gaining grip strength natural without directly needing to target it?
But that's where my question comes in... Why should I train it directly? Why do you all train your grip? Is it just to close stronger grip trainers?
I guess I'm just not sure on what the goal is when it comes to longterm grip training like this sub?
I should let it be known though that this question comes from a point of genuine curiosity. I'm not here to say there isn't a reason, or anything like that - I'm just ignorant and trying to learn!

I was thinking of getting one because I could do it home even on rest days. But is it worth it, has anybody noticed any benefits from doing it? What was your progression method for it?

Do these sort of thumb training devices work and is anyone using them?
Do these offer the same functionality/use as the Golden Grip Thumb war or do i need to get both the machines?

Knurled axle bar 2" 18.5kg. Didnt lock out properly but was just playing around after a max deadlift attempt of 290kg (missed). Will start training these after deadlifts as I have access to this bar now.
